Thai Consulate Ireland is closed.  Good luck with London Embassy. If you are planning to head out good luck with flights as I've had a few cancelled. Factor in between 3-6k GBP before you've had a chang!

Oh and buy lots of paper....you'll need it.

A friend of a friend paid £3k in total, that's about ฿120k, but you can pay less, if you are able to pick a cheaper ASQ-hotel.

I used Pacific Cross Thailand visa friendly plan for 12 months as wasn't sure whether would still be required when applying for marriage extension after 3 month visa expires.

No insurance needed for an extension based on marriage. But you are still in Thailand, right? If coming from abroad you need an insurance covering $100,000 for the whole period of time.

My Non O extension expires January 15th 2021 so ealistically need to be back in Thsiland by Christmas in order to do the quarantene.

So if it is not anounced by beginning of December then I will have no means in returning. So much for my relationship ,house, car, money in the bank and future !

If your 1 year extension expires while you're out of ThaiIand, and they don't add Non-O to the list, it's a peace of cake to start all over again. The restrictions incl quarantine will hopefully change in the near future. Maybe you can enter as a tourist if they will allow short term tourists to stay 60 days if showing ฿500k in a bank account. They have been talking about it, but who knows? It was just a suggestion.

the O-A O-X, options were never there in the first place, a few people who applied used the special arrangement option, they were contacted and told they would be added in the next 5 days, i don't know if people who selected special arrangement were given COE or have to wait till it a appears

I think O-A and O-X has been on the list since July. That's quite a while ago.

    Incorrect.

And that's why all the people that skipped reports were not fined when they were asked to file 90 report in month of August by immigration.

There are still many on annual extensions etc that have not made a 90 reports during amnesty.

Several immigration offices have said they prefer people to do the 90 days reports as usual. What would be your reason for not doing them other than being lazy? Please tell.

Just some Sunday morning flippancy. I wasn't being deadly serious. What starts to irk me is how the Chinese are being welcomed with open arms. They being the orchestrators of the the virus in the first place. But we all know why, don't we?

The Chinese, about 120-126 of them comes from one Chinese region (on a chartered flight) which supposedly has been covid-19 free for several weeks. The thai government said a few days ago that it is an experiment. Do you think 120-126 people is a huge number?

You mean like the UK has been discriminating against Thai people when it comes to needing to jump through hoops to prove they're worthy of a UK visa?

Of course, the UK has special visa exemptions for some countries, just like Thailand has the STV for some countries.  Thai citizens don't qualify under the UK programs, and UK citizens apparently don't qualify under Thailand's STV program.

"Thai citizens don't qualify under the UK programs"

Where did you read this? ThaiIand is on the exemption list, meaning no need for even self-isolation if you arrived after September 19.

Yes this is the same problem I am having they say that my approve wil be 30 days.  Are you having problem booking ASQ hotel.  I though this was why we paid them 500.000 for hassle free entry

Doesn't the arrival on an Elite Visa has to go through the Thailand Elite Visa office in BKK? I don't think the 500k will make it possible to skip the ASQ-hotel booking, which you're supposed to do yourself.

TM-27 is ( in theory ) past history.

TM-30 and TM47 in effect, if you

Leave Thailand, file new TM-30 upon return

RULE #1 ASK at your LOCAL IO what forms are necessary for THEIR office.

Take your utility deposit receipts and Lease to qualify as "Possessor" if your landlord fails to give you the necessary documents or make the TM-30

    ( Below modified )

Section 38 : The house – master, the owner or the ==>> possessor <<== of the residence, or the hotel manager where the alien, receiving permission to stay temporary in the Kingdom ( NOTE: Visas, ALL extensions of stay based on ???XXXXX??? are temporary ) has stayed, must notify the competent official of the Immigration Office located in the same area with that hours , dwelling place or hotel, within 24 hours from the time of arrival of the alien concerned. If there is no Immigration Office located in that area , the local police official for that area must be notified.

Since they changed the requirements for the TM30, you don't even need to submit a TM30 when coming back from abroad if you're coming back to the last reported address (and put that address on the arrival card). But it's possible you can find an immigration office out in the sticks which hasn't got a clue about the new requirements.

can u pls advise where u read this ?

any link to thai govt website ?

It's common sense. If you're staying 6 months, a 3 months insurance won't be enough to get a CoE at the embassy in your home country. The insurance covering the period of stay is one of the requirements to get the CoE in the first place. I guess you haven't read the requirements.

My understanding is the Thailand Elite visa is NOT exempt from any of the various TM visas. How strict your local immigration branch is about filling out TM forms by the letter of the law is another story.

When moving to another province permanently you must submit the TM30. Otherwise you can't do 90 days reports or annual extensions at the new local immigration office. The 90 days report is a verification you're staying at the last reported address, and when moving to another province, that address will be the old one in a another province if you don't submit a TM30.

So the pitiful number of tourists that will come in, they will save Thailand tourism industry where in the good times 40 millions came in?...

The number 40 million during 2019 is a fake number from TAT. Everybody living in Thailand knows that 2019 was a disaster tourism wise. Phuket had less then 50% (some sub-districts said 30%) of normal bookings and it was the same in Pattaya and other places. When counting "arrivals", then you will get a high number because of migrant workers from neighboring countries. They pass the borders on a regular basis. If immigration used the TM6 arrival card which says if you're a tourist or not, it would be quite easy to come up with a more correct number of proper tourists.  But it will never happen.

This seem to vary between different offices. I just recently renewed my one year extension based on marriage in Hua Hin. My original visa was expiring on the 28th August. When I went back on the 22 September to get the new extension stamp, the IO removed the old 90 day sticker, and gave me a new one with report date 90 days from my latest extension stamp.

I asked them about this some years ago, and was told that they do a 90 day report as part of the new extension.

If you like many people apply for the 1 year extension 30 days before it expires, it will mean you're doing a 60 days report if they reset the 90 days if you did the previous three 90 days report on the due date?  Where's the logic in that?
