Bringing a bike into Thailand as sports luggage
Captain Monday replied to B0nkers's topic in General Topics
Yes batteries on the eBikes can be an issue I have brought several Mountain bikes into Thailand as checked luggage. Never had a question from customs. The only time I was fleeced at BKK was something completely unrelated on a day Customs seemed to be running a crackdown, ie money spinner. -

You should have contacted their Command and so they could be disciplined. "Service members convicted of violating Article 134 for Indecent Conduct face the maximum possible punishment of a dishonorable discharge, forfeiture of all pay and allowances, and five years' confinement." -

From serving drinks and food and giving massages? Soliciting a prostitute, if those did happen to exist in Pattaya , would be a gross violation of the Uniform Code of Mulitary Justice, Article 134. and would subject the service member to severe punishments. -
ETA for visa waiver countries is just that. NOT a visa. Why? Visas must be applied for thru State Deptartment, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Justice etc. depending on the country and are subject to Embassy or Counsular review ETA is processed online for every country I am familiar with approved instantly / few hours as a matter of unless you are ineligible to enter for some reason and that is the whole point, as stated. Just another headache, countries copying eachother. Accomplishing little or nothing.

I ordered Medium Rare at Tadich Grill in San Fran last month, one of the oldest restaurants there. I had not had a layover there for years and always wanted to try eating there. Steak came out near raw, and it was tough even though they claim they serve some kind of special aged midwest beef. Expected better. ! I hung my head down and ate it anyway. They have surly bartender/waiters and they let me into eat at the bar 15 minutes before last order. I should have ordered seafood. Epic fail. https://tadichgrillsf.com/menu-page/#menu

I order about once a month in the US on my work rotations. I want medium rare but these restaurants there have me trained to order medium because they always way undercook it. I think the idea is if you send it back the line cooks just bring the temp up instead of binning it. I dont think the mids restaurants take the time to let a steak rest properly The only places that can be trusted with a medium rare order are the pricey Steakhouses such as the likes of Peter Luger and McCormick&Smicks

Aussies now need an ETA to enter Thailand
Captain Monday replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
That is a great idea! For tourists make it 300 baht per day, to include complrehensive travel/accident insurance. Whilst building a massive fund to improve infrastructure, environmental damage mitigation, and the Tourist police cadre. -
The worst thing about my country is so called "American Exceptionalism" There is nothing is the Constitution about the role of a first lady is there? But she is expected to be some kind of royal figure, fashion icon, and an activist. I mean, like, How often does one see the Thai or Japanese PM spouse on TV other than State Dinners or special trips? Melania is the one who married him but I do feel sorry for her having to lose her life as she knew it. Who thought Trump would be president really other than The Simpsons? If "Big Mike" really did not want to be first lady she should have kept her professional career and her daughters intact in Chicago inviting Barrack to visit on weekends. I remember she agreed to get onboard the plan if he stopped smoking. If Trump wins, there will be something like Russia or Iran, but never another real Presidential election in the US. When DJT "passes the dorch" Barron could be be installed as the first Emperor of a Trump dynasty. A pliable and naive young man to be manipulated and controlled by sinister interests, for decades.

Aussies now need an ETA to enter Thailand

Good programmers from Apple? I bet a small team of University of California - Berkeley students could have a better APP up in a weekend , for beer money and pizza. I am doing my online TM30 now. "In Progress". Most people need to watch 2 or 3 youTubes to decipher that counter intuitive monster. -
Aussies now need an ETA to enter Thailand

Why would Aussies moan about an ETA when their govt requires one for most foreigners from visa waiver countries? for visa waiver countries are not visas because they are not subject to Embassy/ Coonsular review and are approved online in a matter of hours as routine, unless one is on some kind of blacklist, and supposedly that is the point. To screen pax before they are boarded for eligibility All these countries are copying each other. K-ETA for korea, been using it for a few years, Very easy Japan already have an app one can complete online to avoid paper form It also is free and has to be completed each time Im sure that will become mandatory before 2030 *News stories this week Japan will be rolling out J-ESTA, by 2030! If you complain about dodgy Thai government apps try Japan. In 6 years I hope they can figure it out. Sheesh----😬 -

I agree about Singapore, and no passport chops But, I don't think it is an ETA, I could be wrong, idk Because visa waiver passport holders do not actually have to complete it or show to airlines before boarding. They have kiosks in the arrival hall. As flight crew I use same app -
Oh that ridiculous conspiracy. Now I know for sure you are just having a laugh and don’t really go for this Trump nonsense. Welcome back off the ignore list, Mitchelle!

No. Is that a thing? I don’t give a fig about UK politics. Not sure why liberal women in the UK would be excited by Harris either. For the UK gent and Aussie bloke fanboys I know Mr. Trump is just a sounding board for their racism and xenophobia. They can’t vote for him if they do not also have US citizenship and any US policy trends only have an indirect effect, especially expats in Thai. ANZAC and UK will continue to do just fine on their own with or without the Orange menace.

Yes He did for this 42 year old “grandmother”, who was bored baking pies and raising babies and heeded the call on Jan 06. And when Trump is re-elected in November her vindication will be a pardon and springing her from Federal Prison before her sentence is served.

I don’t know if he groped her “brats” And his sex life is nobodies business except for the hypocrisy He is was billionaire supposedly so he should go to a bar and pull a bird like anybody else Or even call an agency what would send him a girl to do whatever he wants willingly for money. Instead he assaults people and claims openly he can get away with it “when you’re famous”.

Nothing to be ashamed of if you have a learning defect, dyslexia, or reading comprehension problems, that can be helped. Trump idolatry is another problem
