Under law a US citizen must use their US passport to enter and leave the United States no matter what other citizenship they hold. The US Dept of State cannot issue a visa to a US citizen, only an alien. Of course they cannot put any limitation on the stay of a US citizen in the US or deny entry. Holding a valid US passport is prima facie evidence of US citizenship and can be validated at any official port of entry I think you are confusing visas with child custody or airline boarding/identification issues and I fortunately know nothing about that.????

This actually happened to me more 20 years ago. Chatted a girl working at an internet cafe. I agreed to take her, and the other one working there too for "dancing" . Then at the BKK disco two or more girls showed up. I paid for all the end of the night getting dumped from taxi at my hotel alone. A chump. Later the girl employed tired red-faced lie of a "lend me money for buy the cafe" internet scam. Still have a pic of these crafty vixens somewhere. I remember the date because the whole area was bulldozed soon after in the Sukhumvit Square scandal.

If you went to the restaurant you likely would have been fleeced paying for all her friends for who knows how much. more Then ditched like a chump with no company at all to take to your hotel.

Other countries you may wish to apply for a visa to visit , or even enter visa exempt take OVERSTAY very seriously. You kid yourself if you think these countries consular and immigration officials cannot easily identfy these shameful stamps in your passport despite the minor penalties for short overstay by Thailand. Just get an extension.

My friend went thru the whole process during covid for his wife. A nightmare where she was not able to leave the US for an extended period of time until the final permanent residence was issued.
