  1. Sorry for years on this site and Thai Visa before I have called for criminal checks for all males from (my country of America at least) BEFORE they are let into Thailand and no more visa free travel. I have been soundly and repeatedly rebuked. This is the Thailand most readers here want where if you have a problem you commit violence or other criminal acts. There is no way this man from Norway comes to Thailand and suddenly strangles somebody for no reason. That is what THEY want and I give up. He surely has a previous long criminal record for violence and other anti-social acts. There is no way a Norweigian comes to Thailand and suddenly kills somebody. No way. He never should have been let in.
  2. Tattoo your boyfriend's name upside down on your lower back so he can read it while you are prostrated before whilst servicing him.
  3. I don't know that but to board an international flight he needs a valid passport. For faking a identity he should be fined and banned permanently from all airlines. Cut for his supposed "murder" charge I see no actual evidence presented that he did anything wrong. If you are in a paid 5 star hotel and your neighbor is making too much noise call the security staff. If they do not stop it and you confront the screaming lout who knows what actually happened in self defense? Sorry I blame the victim here for not behaving properly.
  4. Imagine living on the street in US in utter filth and danger with income of $2000 per month from SS and pension like many veterans vs small room with fan, toilet, and shower?
  5. Chiang Mai has dozens of pot shops now with no customers in sight. Some appeared to be built at huge cost in high rent areas. The "Fish Spa" boom comes to mind the poor minnows eventually got flushed. Same fate awaits the stale dirt weed sold at huge prices I'd reckon.
  6. Chiang Mai has dozens of pot shops now with no customers in sight. Some appeared to be built at huge cost. Probably high prices for stale dirt weed teenagers cannot afford.
  7. Interested in LTR but I will never ever have a "pension". No problem with the income or assets but to apply for the wealthy global person track it appears I must then purchase $500K USD equivalent Thai govt bonds or real estate. No thanks. I already own a Thai condo unit many years
  8. In 2023 China has 42000 Km of high speed train lines. Meanwhile America is un-paving rural roads and residents there pay money to send kids to private religious schools to learn creationism and science denial. ???? https://www.wired.com/2016/07/cash-strapped-towns-un-paving-roads-cant-afford-fix/
  9. We can't and won't see anything . The failing project of global hegemony and militarism is completely uncontested by both political parties save a few meek voices from "The Squad" Democrats in the US Congress. I'd reckon a high percentage of Americans don't know the difference between Taiwan and Thailand and could not find either on a map. America would lay Asia to waste in a minute to pursue its perceived strategic interest pursuing aggression against China. A US base in Thailand would serve no purpose other than make it part of the battlefield.
  10. Not at all informative and I have not struggled to understand the off topic tangent you are off on. Everyone knows renters have legal rights in developed countries and cannot be locked out by a angry landlord or have utilities cut under extralegal circumstances. I think many of us come to Thailand to get away from quaint niceties like "English Law". Where bums can squat on your property for weeks or months and damage it walking away with no penalty at all. But I quite liked English law maybe before 1870 or so. There should be debtors prisons re-established where scroungers could be held to work off the debts and damages they caused.
  11. What the hell does English law have to do with a jurisdiction where the law is whatever a man with a badge says it is? Pay the man with the badge, or maybe some toughs from the taxi rank and the deadbeat foreigner is out on the bones of his rump with or without his possessions. If this aggrieved party, this man who can’t pay two months rent later has the financial means to engage lawyers in the official legal system, all the best to him.
  12. Especially when playing Boy radiated an infectious joy
  13. Legal eviction? ROTFLMAO. I would try to work with you on the rent but the lady would have a deadbeat farnung out so fast it would knock your socks off, with paid assist from the local constabulary as has been done a few times before in this building here.
  14. In addition to the economic distortion when owners pull homes out of rental market free standing home BnBs cause disturbances to neighbors also. When the guests who are supposed to be limited to 4-5 people or whatever actually show up with 15 with all the traffic and noise. Also “house parties”, at least one I read of turned deadly with a mass shooting in a tony suburb.
  15. Ya can’t make this stuff up. Hopefully Scotland then Wales and a United Ireland pull their UKexit soon. Som nam na.
  16. A great idea that does not work because guests will not follow a few simple rules (garbage, smoking, parking, noise, pool etiquette) Basically people who are on vacation behave differently than residents and refuse to be “told what to do”. There is also the economic fallout when thinly stretched housing stocks are reduced in certain areas further driving up living costs.
  17. I never hated them they did a lot for me but do you normally associate with people who think every problem in the world is because somebody has a different skin tone, religion, or was born in a different country than you were? The media is to blame in my opinion. Free speech should have limits.
  18. My parents are/were much worse than mugs. They are/were racists and conservative right-wingers.
  19. Stone the crows You have a 49 year old son? So you must be near 80. No wonder during Covid you could not distinguish between so-called mail and the cargo flights that were specifically allowed by the emergency decree . Stone the crows
  20. That’s too bad. Your retorts lack energy and precision, but your posts and contributions are valuable. Be well.
  21. Just keep marking posts “confused” I can explain it for you. I can’t understand it for you.
  22. It means exactly what I posted. If they deny you boarding due to “no onward ticket” you can possibly buy another ticket on the spot . (The lounge is the place in the airport where as a member, or based on your status flying business class you relax and enjoy refreshments). If none of that is possible, pull out your mobile. Book a nearby hotel. Leave the airport. Go there by any means available. Fly another day. Is that really that hard to "understand"?
  23. I can explain it for you, I can't understand it for you. Happy to be off the ignore list though Doctor.
