  1. Ah, the smell of desperation at a dying network. They only have themselves to blame, going all left/woke/establishment. And now anything for eyeballs.

I actually just called the local CNN affiliate and told them there're two dead rats and a cat outside the back and they said they'll have a team here in minutes. I told them to hurry or they'll be scooped by OAN.

  2. What you want to do if someone tries to mug you is pull out your wallet, hold it up and say, "This is not a lot but it's as good a start as any. You look like you have never invested in your life. Let me show you how and what's in here could turn into a million bucks. It's all about patience and timing."

Then pull out a fake document from your pocket, "Look if I am going to be your advisor we need to get this on paper. I hope you don't mind if I ask you to sign an agreement. It keeps us both safe. And there's insurance as well which will cover your family in case of an accident. Never trust the Government to pick up the tab. Here let me explain."

By this time if the guy hasn't sprinted off I can't help you.

I asked the question, because of a heavy set man who flew into Thailand a few years ago and had to have the flight attendant wipe is butt after a bowel movement; whereupon he sighed & groaned 'sexually' while they helped him.  I was purely trying to sort things out before trying to help.

Because a heavyset man misbehaved on a flight to Thailand a few years ago and because the OP happens to be heavyset you put 2 and 2 together. Does the giant brain press into your ears?

  4. I've been with ggs (genetic girls) and lbs, hundreds of them. I am not attracted to guys so I consider myself straight. However, if a psych prof says, no, no, you're gay, that's fine. Label me how you want but I likes what I likes.

As for the posts above by a few that they had no interest in an lbs junk and only pretended they were playing with a woman, this is disingenuous nonsense. Part of the lb appeal is their very palpable arousing.

As for the OP's question about an LTR with an lb, I think it depends (as it always does) on mutual chemistry. Sadly I haven't been in an LTR with anybody but I can say it's a hoot having a stunning lb hang on your arm. Which brings up another point that even a very beautiful lb is "affordable", not that anyone of us on AN would dream of paying to play, while an 8-9 gg is usually either taken by a Thai bf or beyond our reach.

  5. This smacks of desperation. Dems know Trump will win in '24 if he chooses to run. Ergo, close the door on him whatever it takes. And do it before the midterms when House and Senate both change hands.

Well, DeSantis is waiting in the wings pretending concern. A DeSantis WH backed by a red House and red Senate starting '25 ain't going to be any prettier than a Trump Admin.

I have Vanguard MF's and use a foreign address. When  changed from a US address to a foreign one, Vanguard closed my brokerage account but had no problem at all keeping the MF's open.

Mutual funds can be transferred between companies without a tax hit if you keep the money in the same fund. Try Vanguard or Schwab to see if they can help you.

    From https://www.americansabroad.org/information/financial/

Earlier this year Charles Schwab and Company, Fidelity Investment and T.Rowe Price announced that they would no longer allow Americans living overseas, even their own employees, to buy US based mutual funds. ...

The company's are not forcing clients to sell the mutual funds (forcing a capital gain or loss) and are not for the most part forcing accounts to be closed, but they are limiting new purchases.

Seems a bit risky to offer a foreign address. I have read of horror stories where a brokerage firm shut down expat accounts with foreign addresses on very short notice. Even a firm that's friendly now might change their minds if they feel the paperwork or potential liability isn't worth it. From what's above Fidelity et al currently have a thus far and no farther view of expat MFs. Who knows what's coming. A stateside address seems safest.

  7. My investment account with Fidelity, opened more than 10 years ago, has my brother's US address. A US residence is essential in order to own US mutual funds, not ETFs though owing to some weird technicality. All my assets are MFs and selling them all to buy ETFs is not a practical option owing to the tax hit.

As long as my brother's address is available there's no problem. But he may be leaving the US too. So, here's my question: Is there a US address service that's good for investment purposes? Keep in mind this has to be much more than a mail forwarding service.

It would be nice to hear from an expat who has actually been using such a service to invest. Thanks.
