Hi All, So many moons ago ie 20 years I bought a shophouse with the land it sat on etc through an off the shelf Thai Company. Still have all of the above. Trouble is the Ex is on the Blue book Tabiaan Bann with the status of Host as opposed to Resident. A lot of Thai's call this "Owner", but it really has ZERO ownership rights. I wanna remove the Ex from the Tabiaan Baan and/or get a new book etc. Trouble is the Ex is being a pain to send me the book, I have the old book which is now of no use. I've been to the Amphur, they wanna see the new book. Can my company via Letter/ Minutes of meeting etc replace/remove the Host? Thanks in advance, My Accountants are unsure, Yeh I will check with/Instruct Solicitors, in a week if no sign of the New book from the Ex Many Thanks for all useful comments. BBJ...

Many thanks DFPhuket... Ps Did they require some form of Proof of address ie Rental Contract etc, Phuket Immigration Volunteers website doesnt mention it. I "own" my land and house through "my" Thai company...

I stand corrected (by myself) I just noticed there is a Custodian to Thai child section on http://piv-phuket.com/long-stay-extensions/custodian-to-thai-child/ Actually it says apply within 30 days, I thought it used to be 45 days ? Gotta laugh/or cry about the new photo requirements though :2 Pictures of of the father with the child / children inside the house in 2 separate rooms. (Kitchen and sleeping room)

So I have a Extension named "Custody of Thai child" or something like that but called Guardian Visa at Phuket Immigration. I have Sole Custody (Full Parental Control) of my two half Thai kids I'm off to renew it next week, will do the 100thb debit before Bank paperwork, Will take my 100 sheets of info: pictures, maps, kids info, photos, etc etc as the same for the past 5 or so years. Got the consent form, emailed copy, they preferred an original but OKed it and Passport processed in 32 minutes and passport arrived a few days later ....

Mine's like a typical 4 bed Supalai Villa so no known insulation to speak of and was built 12-13 years old. I wonder if "they" build more energy efficient homes nowadays?

I would estimate sized correctly to oversized !!!!

Hi KhunBENQ 8k to 10k pcm, 4 bed villa, ACs on in 3 rooms at night, swimming pool, Washing machine 1-2 times per day, 20 garden lights on for security at night, 3 fridges...

Thanks YellowTail so maybe 500thb pcm per AC saving ie 5k thb pa... Maybe 5-10 years to get ROI then...

My house's 5 ACs are York by Johnston Controls and they've been super reliable for the past 12 or so years. I've researched old vs new and it would appear the new units to mine are possibly 33% to 50% more efficient, maybe... Has anyone changed to new ACs and noticed and dramatic reduction on Electricity usage, if so how much? I'm sure you would, I'm just trying to work out my ROI as such... Many thanks BBJ... PS ACs used in 3 bedrooms overnight, and afternoons on weekends occasionally...

Nearby would be Krabi about 4 hours return drive I think !

Yes I took the papers for sole custody... That apologised and said the easiest way was to het the mother to sign a consent form... Which does sound easier than dragging neighbours upto the Amphur I think ...

I should just add I live here full time and have "Guardian/Dependant Visa" as I have sole custody of my children granted by the Courts...

Hi I have Full parental control of my daughter (for 4 years+) and today headed to Phuket Passport office in Central with all the correct documents to renew my daughters Thai passport. I was told extremely politely that I needed a consent form signed by my daughter's mother. Her mother lives overseas so will need to visit the Thai embassy and get the formed signed/certified and returned with her Thai Id. Is this really the case, I thought I had "full legal parental control" ! Many thanks, BBJ.

My kids passports were submitted on 6th December and we got them back on the 28th Dec ...

Hi Just considering my son's further Education, he has a High School Diploma, and is considering London University in a year of 2, does anyone have any knowledge/experience of APs in Bangkok, I see there are about a dozen school offering the courses, I just wondered if it's possible to just sit the exams at any of the schools or other testing centres?
