Travel Thailand Tightens Airport Rules on Liquids and Gels to Boost Safety
Colki replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
When they match container to 100mls is to stop people claiming I have this large container but there is only less ythan 100mls of liquid. This has been in force in airports for many years after a london based plot to bring down some five UK - USA flights in a very advanced stage. They reconstructed the planned explosive devices and made decision to restrict containers to 100ml as though still destructive would not bring down plane. This is a simple explanation of the operation -

Report Phuket International Airport Responds to Baggage Handling Issue
Colki replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
It is a confusing article, paxs retrieving bags on arrival normally look at screen to see carousel where checked in baggage can be retrieved so usually would not even know if some belts inoperable and would no delay departure of outgoing flight. So why warning for paxs to get to airport early and prepare for delays at check in. Is an arrival issue surely not a departure issue. -

Wait till Musk reads about this. Am sure he will be able to help USA with this or any other country that will dish out taxpayer dollars for his consumption. -
Nobody is condemning Trump for the arrest and deportation of such persons. The criticism begins when they send letters to US born citizen who was in fact also a magistrate or judge telling them they are illegal citizens and get out of the country or else. Five plus agents going to a citizens home in civilian clothing displaying no identification and when her lawyer arrives and questions their actions they tell him they are there to do a welfare check. This is the concern and these are not isolated cases.

Walker88... it may not be a fortune after working all your life but do you think it should be mandatory to deposit your disposable income in a thai bank. This would also mean that in the case of a default by your bank you would not be compensated more than B1mill. I enjoy being able to choose where I use my surplus funds beyond the required B800,000 necessary to obtain my Non O visa.

Report City Hall Under Fire for Inadequate Earthquake Compensation
Colki replied to snoop1130's topic in Bangkok News
I am very surprised that they compensate property owners affected by the earthquake at all. It is not as though they were responsible for the earthquake. I would have thought you would seek out your own cover for such events and I do know that condo owners in Aust / NZ have to have seperate cover for mortgage purposes as cover by Body Corporate does not quarantee adequate cover. So it is possible to obtain. Thailand ?? -
Swedish Man Sparks Airport Bomb Alert with Unclaimed Luggage
Colki replied to webfact's topic in Isaan News
If photo relates to this issue it would appear he walked away and left bag etc behind. In Australia if any bag, package etc is found unaccompanied they do an explosive trace test on it. Same machines that are at security checkpoints and you may be chosen to submit to where they swab clothing and any items that you carry with you. A positive read from the exterior of the items tested could be because he had handled fireworks, been at fireworks display with bag etc and as stated a false positive which are reasonably rare. If you get a positive you are meant to use new sample and test a further twice to confirm initial read or clear pax, items. -

OMG I cannot believe the rhetoric , history will be the judge so let us visit this in one year. I do not believe it will be a victory for trumpians . How people express such vile views of others when they have not contributed one ounce of effort to contribute to improve whatever scenario is truly baffling. Literally cowards.

Trump’s Tariffs: A Chaotic Dream within a Lost Era
Colki replied to RSD1's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Fact from one of Trumps trade treaty negotiators. It took 2 years for the best ever treaties negotiated by Trump with Mexico and Canada. It should not take long to complete negotiations with the other 73. -
