Moving a family to Pattaya from Bangkok thoughts?
Colki replied to DonniePeverley's topic in Pattaya
Good to read positive news about Pattaya which I thoroughly endorse. Also very close by to areas like Bang Saray for dining and beaches. Beach at navy base is excellent a low cost golf course there as well. Annual LPGA tournament as well as many other festivities to enjoy. -
Report Young British Mum Detained in Germany for Cannabis Smuggling
Colki replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Unless I am blind I do not see any mention of quantity. A joint or kilos would make a big difference in court penalty. -
Red Phoenix I disagree with you and not that it matters but I have had items confiscated at the gate that were missed at initial inspection. These items were of no security consequence to any other country but Thailand.

Yes, travel Bkk to Melb. Aust. you go through security and then at boarding gate have to submit all carry on to another security team. This is in same terminal and always happened.

Crime Ex-Air Hostess Claims £1.5M Drug Stitch-Up in Sri Lanka

Wensiensheng... I agree but that is what was stated. Strange but could be possible an inside contact at airport prior to bag inspection. -
Crime Ex-Air Hostess Claims £1.5M Drug Stitch-Up in Sri Lanka
Colki replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
As stated minus the 46 kilo drug weight she would not have needed 2 suitcases. To state those who planted the drugs were meant to meet her in Sri Lanka but did not turn up does hint at knowledge of the contents. -

Lordgrinz she may have had 3 suitcases. Weight is really irrelavent as it was procedure of identifying contents that confused readers. -
Report Thailand Eases Alcohol Laws Amid Concerns Over Safety Impact
Colki replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
So having greater choice of brands will increase consumption. Cannot see the logic to that statement. If worried from road toll injuries, deaths why not enforce current laws to help prevent this happening. -
Video Ex-Air Hostess Charlotte Lee Arrested for £1.5m Cannabis in Sri Lanka
Colki replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Assuming she had two suitcases at approx 23 kilo each so not excessive (she would pay for). Bags going into the hold of plane go through xrays that are programmed to pick up certain parameters if it does not upset them then the bags go onto luggage belt for loading. Organic matter would not set them off as they are primarily looking for explosive devices. Dogs are not seen often in departure baggage make up areas often. If it did set off xray parameters it is viewed by security staff and they have approx seven seconds to view image of case and to clear or send to a secondary belt that can view image and case and can be swabbed for explosive. These staff again are primarily looking for explosive and same staff that man security screenng sites, not specialists. -
Crime Aussie Nabbed with 22kg of 'Ice' at Suvarnabhumi Airport
Colki replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
This was not a discovery by state of the art xrays and certainly not due to irregular shaped packages of drugs. The packages looked very uniform. -
Patel is just an absolute clown and an absolute yes man for Trump. You must remember by Trump claiming a state of emergency over fentanyl coming over the border from Mexico and Canada was the only way he could cancel the fantastic trade deals that he himself negotiated and lavished praise on himself for negotiating. Otherwise he would have had to go and seek approval from congress.

Mark Carney Rebukes UK Over Trump Invite, Reasserts Canadian Sovereignty
Colki replied to Social Media's topic in World News
I agree with Carney. Until Trump and his henchmen show some respect to other countries they should be welcomed as friends. Trump has little consideration for other countries . His pathetic peoples tax on US citizens dreamt up by some hocus pocus formula and then invited affected export countries to come kiss his arse tells you all that you all you need to know.- 38 replies

Markets Rebound as US and China agree to slash tariffs for 90 days
Colki replied to Social Media's topic in World News
I find some comments quite astounding. Americans will pay a 30% Trump tax on Chinese made goods and you say he is a master negotiator. Could you please explain the logic of your claims. -
Markets Rebound as US and China agree to slash tariffs for 90 days
Colki replied to Social Media's topic in World News
I think you are blowing your Trumpet a little early but enjoy a few hours of glory. USA has many issues to be resolved and the master negotiator has given a massive warning to the world re his trust worthiness which will also cost the USA. -
And just to prevent any confusion there is a stipulation in the agreement that states.. .four months prior to the ending of Trumps presidency the plane ownership is to be transferrred to some entity like the Trump Library Trust Foundation that ex presidents seem to establish for some reason.
