  1. Mental illness brought on by bad or absent parenting, or born that way, which does happen sometimes. There are disturbed people in every country, and many of them are our leaders.
  2. They promote the word. They don't need sheep, but believers. Everyone can be a priest, rabbi, imam or pastor. It's our duty to spread the word.
  3. No proof on either side besides that common sense thing. It's always been a big bang of sorts. Just that it had to be created and didn't just happen. God wants blind faith. That's why he lets things happen as they do. Doubting Thomas's everywhere because they have no proof, other than seeing what he created.
  4. Actually this probably came from childhood abuse and or neglect. Some psychopaths are born but it's more likely environmental; damage. Australia isn't a bad place. There are sickos everywhere, and maybe right next door to you now. All serial killers, pedophiles and murderers have neighbors.
  5. Bad enough he hurt those dogs, but he also has accessing and transmitting child abuse material. Like all serial killers, they start with animal cruelty and graduate to people. It's too bad he didn't try this with a crocodile, as we would be hearing a better outcome.
  6. Pie or slice if you aren't that hungry
  7. Scientists have not proven anything besides the universe expanding and that it theoretically was created by a big bang, which sent matter in all directions, which to me is God making things happen. Matter is what everything is made of. Some say dark energy is a lot of it. Energy created by God. Matter cannot happen from nothing. Believing someone because they are a scientist is naive. Half of scientists believe there is a God. What does that say?We believe by faith. Something many don't understand. The devil works in many mysterious ways to stop people from believing.
  8. Too much has been written for both sides, and no one has proof besides the miracles of life we see every day. To some that's just by chance also. God was always there, although no one can assimilate that without doubt.
  9. Actually a creator makes a lot of sense. Thinking everything just happened from nothing doesn't make any sense.People fall for scams because they are desperate to get ahead. People vote, many times for the wrong person, because they believe their lies and empty promises.
  10. Good cheese is great. Cheese melted on things is also great.
  11. If you've ever had a New York/New Jersey style pizza, you would change your mind. Some say the Italian ones in Italy are also top of the line. Someday I'll see. Pies, like coconut custard, apple, pecan, pumpkin are all very good if you get a homemade one that someone who knows pies made. As far as pizza toppings, many are good, but thin Italian sausage, mushroom and onion are my favorites.
  12. The OP did say if you don't believe in God, you don't need to comment. And like I said before, you will find out when you die, and then it just might be too late.
  13. I believe in God, but don't see why you would consider him un trustworthy. Has he promised anything he hasn't delivered? I question why so much evil happens in the world and why he doesn't step in, but he has given us free will, and with that free will comes evil. I think he is just sitting back and watching us destroy ourselves, and Jesus will come back when God thinks it's enough. Yes, he could give heart attacks to the Hitlers, Putins, Mao's, Pol Pots, Stalins, Kim Jong Un's, and other narcissists that are killing for power, take away mosquitoes that kill more than anything else, and all the rest of the diseases and poisonous things we have to deal with, but again, I think we are only here for a short time to learn things, to go on into another forever life that doesn't have all the shiit this one does. He made us, so he has the right to make his rules, and they do make sense. Not following them has brought destruction on all of us.
  14. People using religion as an excuse to hurt others is hurting the world, along with narcissistic leaders and others that rape the earth for profit and hurt the innocent. God doesn't even have to be brought into this because it's people that are doing the damage.
  15. Just her mom, aunt and a couple cousins, all but one can't speak English, so it's still all alone.
  16. Most know I treated my ex very well, and know she was the problem. Her mom told my girlfriend her daughter made a mistake, so you know it got passed around locally. Most are okay with me ere, as I'm the only foreigner in the village. Some have killed my dogs, but they have also killed my ex's family's dogs and other neighbors so I'm sure it is just one disturbed farmer that doesn't like dogs in his cassava. Her cousin lives about 200 meters away and they are fine with me. He's here now letting his buffalo eat my tall grass. My daughter is one of only two half farangs in the village. the other's dad died, was the husband of my ex's cousin. They all smile as they pass my house, and some kids steal my fruit, even though I asked them to ask first. No problems here with the locals.
  17. Bueng Kan. She worked at the hotel I stayed at
  18. Like I said, they are all about the same. They all have a downtown area, where most of the restaurants are, especially the farang ones, but some are very spread out, and walking will not get you to see but a small percentage of what's there. Sisaket alone has at least 8 farang restaurants, and all are at least 2 kilos away from each other, with some as much as 6. I worked in NYC, lived close by for 30 years with hundreds of visits (family from Brooklyn and NYC) and didn't see but a fraction of what's there, and its only 13 miles long by 2 1/2 wide.
  19. There's no way in telling how a place is unless you spend a few months in it. Visiting a bar, noodle shop and a 7-11 isn't going to give you a complete picture on the town's scene, or what it has to offer. I live 30 kilos from a main town in Sisaket province, and have been there hundreds of times (literally), and still don't know near all the places to eat or visit, and even my ex, who has lived around here for 43 years, minus a few stints in a few other towns to work, didn't know of a couple of restaurants and places I asked her about in this town. Every town in Thailand has much the same things. A Tesco, or a Big C, Makro, movie theater, hundreds of noodle shops, coffee shops, Farang bars and restaurants, 7-11's and Temples. I've been to quite a few of the larger towns and they all appear the same. Thais like to have what they need close by, and all follow suit, as the culture dictates, along with their needs as Thais. Villages of course all look the same, and have the same things. A few noodle shops, a coffee shop or two, a Wat, public hall, a school,a preschool (or at the Wat), and rice fields. Ubon has the same as Bueng Kan, Nong Khai, Roi Et, Mukdahan,Sisaket, Khon Kaen, etc with a few variables. As far as girls, they all had pretty, not so pretty, and grandmas. And maniacs driving up to 5 on a scooter without helmets.
  20. Guess it depends on when you are going to move from California.................https://www.courts.ca.gov/juryservice.htm
  21. I moved here because my now ex didn't want to move to the US, saying she wanted to be near her family, who she really doesn't care for much anyway. Made a mistake, should have convinced her otherwise, as now I'm waiting for the right time to move back with my daughter. She wants to come back, but the trust is gone. She doesn''t have tats , nor does anyone else in our village, as i can see. Much of the population here stays right here, and only those that have had kids, with Thai boyfriends that have left, choose to go to the big cities to work, leaving their kids with grandma. And yes, it is boring here, and that's another reason I will move.
  22. Bob, I've been wondering if your wife can read English. If so, she must know about Asean forums, although she wouldn't know your handle here. If she did, she might post something like, "My dirty farang husband cheated on me for the last time, now I took his handle to warn others of the wrath of a Thai woman scorned".
  23. I actually know full well what goes on wrong here, but if Thailand had hunting and Bass, Pike, Trout, and other US fishing, it wouldn't be as bad for me, although getting my daughter back to the states is a priority for her welfare and future. It is very quiet where I live, too quiet actually, but I can understand if that's what a man would want, and not have hobbies like mine, along with having a good looking, faithful, and loyal wife, he could find peace here
