Are Thai teens more mature than West
fredwiggy replied to georgegeorgia's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
I only suggested that because a strong woman isn't inferior to you. Nor are any others but some will believe they are because of their child history. I don't need hookers, preferring women who think for themselves without money as the primary agenda. -

It would do the whole country's population of women, and girls, good if they adopted the thinking of western women. Standing up for yourself against a dominating population that thinks you're subservient only makes equality happen. Relationships are always better with equality. -

One major reason I will leave Thailand with my daughter as soon as I can re establish back home. This isn't a good country for females in many regards. -

With that attitude you're only recourse is hookers, because a smart, independent woman wouldn't want anything to do with one who thinks they are better than they are. Plenty of men can't read maps, and since when are maps necessary if you have GPS in your phone? As far as driving, I've noticed all of my life what are the worst drivers, and it isn't women but Asians, teenagers, very old who drive too slow in a fast environment, and women and men who act like Karens, thinking they own the road. The majority of the best known chefs are men, but the majority of the primary cooks and chefs are still women. -

I think women, and men, are unhappy all over. Unrealistic expectations and jealousy over what others have leads to a depressed mood, with an economy ruined by rich people in charge who's main agenda is to remain rich and only do the minimum to help the poor, as they look at them as lesser humans. -

No, girls allow themselves to be inferior because of parents who teach them they are, and a culture that believes they are. -
Trapped Antarctic Scientists Plead for Rescue Amid Fear after Assault

Never underestimate anyone in a fight by yourself, or else you might learn a hard lesson. Alpha doesn't mean strong. it means narcissist that thinks they deserve more when doing less. Betas are what run families and the world. Alphas sit back and take advantage of those who aren't aware of their intentions. Military trained doesn't mean much against a person who does it as a lifestyle, just as a doctor isn't one to go to with advice about nutrition. -

Three guys that can't fight well can tackle another and subdue him by weight alone. In fact, 3 women that are being threatened can also do this, if they all do it at once. If they don't want to live under a threatening environment, they will do something about it. This isn't a group of boys but adults. Unless of course he's a strong Sumo wrestler they can't get their arms around, where they could use anything they can find as a weapon. He's the one threatening another, which means he's probably not strong enough or able to fight. People that threaten with violence will just use it with no need to tell anyone of their actions. Those that threaten are using a threat to make fear in those he believes will fear him. Months until help arrives means you lock him in a room after taking him down and tying him up, then give him what he needs until others come to arrest him and take him away. Food and water and a bucket to let him do his business. if there's a problem, he doesn't eat. This is one against many adults. Not Bruce Lee against a group of Thai teenagers. Of course I would be the one that opens the door, and why not? If he's a huge man that I could not think I could handle alone ,I would have something in my hand that could. -

Girls are looked at as inferior here, and they aren't happy about it. Boys are considered to be more special and if you look at their actions daily on the news and the crime reports, you would see they are generally spoiled from this and act the part. -

That actually shows a lack of maturity. Kids having kids with kids, not understanding they aren't capable of raising them and grandma will get them soon. Happens in all countries but more so here. The courts don't make the boys responsible for supporting the children they make, so they keep doing it. I see 8 year olds driving scooters here and that's the parents fault, or grandma, depending on who's taking care of them. Illegal and dangerous and an accident waiting to happen. An 18 year old can be considered an adult in most places but they aren't mature enough to carry that handle. Some mature younger than others because of how they were raised and some have maturity forced upon them by neglect, although they are still not mature enough for many things. -
You're saying that consumption of Splenda, with the organochlorine, un natural, is going to affect a persons health . Yes, if ingested in large amounts, this may cause issues, like I mentioned affecting the gut. In the amounts I ingest, they haven't caused any issues, and in every ordinary user also. Some say using no calorie sweeteners have people gaining weight, but it isn't from the sweeteners but the rest of what they consume. Millions use Splenda, Sucralose , in many foods daily, and have not gained weight or had any problems. I'm not being thick but pointing out that Splenda can cause some trouble, especially in the gut, but it hasn't been shown to cause much more in the way of damage to a body if ingested in normal amounts. There are many studies that show it possibly can cause harm in other ways, but many people get more damaging chemicals just from eating normal fruits and vegetables that aren't grown organically. You might be surprised how many things you eat have chemicals in them that are harmful. People have gotten e coli and salmonella from vegetables many times. I have used this for decades, and have had blood drawn many times for allergy tests and studies, and always have a clean CBC. Like I said, it can cause problems, but so can many other things people consider safe. Testing on Splenda has shown possibilities of problems, but they need to continue long term. I'm fully aware there are some concerns, and have been weaning off of it a little at a time, so I'm not ignoring those possibilities................https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC3856475/

Eating the small amount of chlorine I get from Splenda isn't going to do much, if anything, to shorten my life. Eating healthy 99% of the time, regular exercise all my life, keeping my weight down , not smoking or drinking much does a lot more than ingesting a tiny fraction of what comes naturally in many things. No denial that animal studies has saved countless lives but some have their opinions on anything. Basically, you can do everything right and have a short life and do everything wrong and live a long one. Statistically most do better doing the right things, so it's always a better idea to going by time proven ways. No denial that blue zone followers live longer than any other, which is what many follow. Many foods have chloride in them, like lettuce, tomatoes, celery, olives, many canned vegetables, soy sauce, and many others, so again, moderation of chloride intake. Very hard to avoid chloride, but ingesting too high amounts isn't an easy thing. The tiny amount in Splenda isn't going to cause trouble so I'm only wary of the negative affect it might have on digestion, which also is found in some studies. I rarely if ever use salt or processed foods with high sodium, keeping my chloride level low naturally. I'm leaning towards more Stevia use anyway, just or that reason.

I know, but putting weed in there means little, as it doesn't do the damage that meth does with even one use, and speed makes people a lot more aggressive instead of calm. Drug abuse does ruin lives but it isn't a direct cause of this type of behavior. This comes from a total lack of respect for life and women. The drugs he took didn't make him do what he did. His thinking was already off kilter as his record shows. People blame drug use when mental illness is the main contributor to deviant behavior, especially of this violence.

Trapped Antarctic Scientists Plead for Rescue Amid Fear after Assault

A person can die from hypothermia in above freezing temperatures if they aren't clothed correctly. Wind does make a difference but above freezing temps kill people every year because they aren't dressed properly, and if they are wet it happens much faster. -

Alpha guys aren't any more masculine or dangerous than others, besides the fact they are narcissists who should be avoided. -

They have two choices. Continue to live in fear from a man that has already threatened one of them or gang up on him, which would be very easy no matter what he knows. After taking him down, they lock him in a room and bring him what he needs to survive daily. He brought this upon himself and deserves no pardon, then you wait until help arrives. -
All we have to go by are what's available. Animal studies can be helpful or not, as studies on humans are surely more accurate. Long term effects are of course more accurate but Splenda has been around since the 70's and no real evidence has shown any negative results. I've been using it since it was available, as has many of my friends and family, with nothing we've seen to be negative. Yes, every person is a little different how they might respond to a certain substance, as they are all in a different DNA beginning, and all may eat different things, have different levels of activity and different weights and heights. My brother died at 67 from a heart attack brought on by diabetes, which runs in my family with my son and aunt having it, but no one else. My brother was overweight and that likely is what hurt his health, leading to the heart attack, where he never had any problems with his heart before, as did no one else in our family. My son is lean and exercises a lot, eating healthy, yet diabetes is part of his life now. All we can do is our best and try to avoid things which are proven to hurt us, which Splenda hasn't been, at least yet. The people who continually live the longest are from the blue zones, and that's the diet I try to follow, at least as close as I can living here. Basically, Splenda hasn't show any real danger especially if not eaten in large amounts. Salt in large amounts has shown to be a danger also, as has sugar, so again it's in moderation that we should live. Some people can smoke cigars, eat bacon daily, sit watching soaps all day, and drink whiskey daily, and live to 110. Others can exercise daily, eat healthy, not smoke or drink, and die at 40 from a heart attack. I have a low body fat, resting pulse of 58, blood pressure of 115/54, and blood sugar of 88, and the only problems I've had are from lifting too much weight for too long (joints), and getting H Pylori living here which has screwed up my gut microbiome because of the meds I took to eradicate it, and will take a long time to fix. Cancer is in my family so I've done what I can to try to avoid getting it but who knows? Studies on animals have helped us greatly over the years..........https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK218274/.

Agree with the meth and what it does, but not fair to include weed, as it mostly has people act calm with it's use. Never have I seen anyone who was a weed user act this way or with any abuse whatsoever. Some people should never use drugs or alcohol as it can make them do things they wouldn't ordinarily do, but this case is different. This is a known criminal that has a record of using a knife before, and if there was ever a reason for the death penalty, this is one. This is a psychopath that needs to be removed from society permanently. The kids lost a mom and were also attacked. Pre meditated were his actions to likely rape, and saying he found a machete there will soon be proven yes or no. People who use weed are not insane, nor are all users of other drugs. That's a personal thing. Some are mentally unstable before drug use. The drugs might have them go over the edge but they are already unstable in mind.

The thing they don't realize, is that one day they will hurt someone who has connections, and the storm that will return to them will do lasting damage. There are millions of Thais living in other countries, some that are targeted by people who have had relatives and friends hurt by officials in this country. Whatever happens to people here is known by others back home. Not a good thing to treat foreigners bad in any country.

It absolutely doesn't make me wonder why you would stick up for this one, as he's just like you in the way's we've seen all along. Remember, everyone's watching who backs up who here, and knows their motives. -
As is mine. So far.

Many different opinions on the subject but eating anything in moderation isn't that harmful, and the amount of chlorine in Sucralose, Splenda isn't a worry to people as much as the effects it may have on the digestive system if consumed n large quantities................ Does Splenda Contain Chlorine and is it Unhealthy? (August 2008) It is true that Splenda is made using Chlorine, which sounds scary, but the sugar industry warns that you are actually “eating chlorine” when consuming sucralose, the chemical sold as Splenda. Plain sugar is transformed into sucralose by substituting three chlorine atoms for hydrogen, creating a substance that is not digested by the body, so it’s effectively calorie free and that’s 600 times sweeter than sugar. There is no evidence that the chlorine atoms in sucralose are any more dangerous than they are in, say sodium chloride (ordinary salt). Before giving sucralose the OK, the US Food and Drug Administration reviewed more than 110 human and animal studies demonstrating its safety...............https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/sucralose-good-or-bad#safety
