  1. Labor, because without them, there is no artist promoting. Getting mega rich from songs is ridiculous, and always has been. There are many artists that are mediocre musicians yet are millionaires because people will buy anything, and pay for it. And there are artists that are much better musicians than some and are living like the rest of us.
  2. You and others you know might have caught Covid but didn't know it, or were just carriers. Most people aren't affected anyway. That vaccines caused cancer that fast is ludicrous. Vaccines don't prevent catching it, just from getting very sick or dying. Fact is, most of the people who died weren't vaccinated.
  3. It's one of my favorite dishes, and I've had it many ways before i came here and while here. Long beans, onions, chili and no chili, basil and krapow seasonings.

Yes, but he has taken revenge on some
  5. They set speed limits for a reason. They have figured out the safe speed one can travel on a certain road in dry conditions. In wet conditions of course you need to reduce speed. It's not a follower mentality if you are driving safely, both for you and your passengers, and the others on the road. I speed, a little over the limit, mostly when others aren't close to me. Pretty much I'm keeping up with the other drivers on the road, as many here speed also, but I'm not going much over the set limit, and I won't when it's raining, both for my own maneuvering, and the fact I know many others here aren't good drivers. And those tickets you are throwing away might come back to you, as they are in the system and when you go to register the care, they can come up where you have to pay the fines first.
  6. Many in the music business make way too much money just for singing and playing songs. Musicians play music because they like to play, to entertain others with their talents, but it shouldn't lead to millions. They should play because they like to play, as it used to be. That's the promoters who have made it that way. People who set up concerts, meaning the workers, electricians, roadies, and such, deserve pay because without them the musician would have to promote themselves, and that costs money. They are the backbone that keeps the musicians going. The concerts cost a lot of money to pay the backers, the venues and the artists themselves, but they don't deserve millions for just a few songs and an hour or so of playing. Tickets should cost a lot less, and more would go, and more would sell out, and if you include the food served, more would buy if those prices would go down also. Same goes for actors and movies.
  7. It always deadens the tastes of food if you use more than a chili or two. They are so used to adding more here that they lose the true flavors, and subtle tastes of other condiments that are added. Too much chili will also hurt your stomach, as it has for not only me, but many here I've talked to, including my ex's family and now girlfriend. She can't stop adding it, even though it hurts her insides, and diarrhea is rampant here, from all the chili added. This is but one of many links that tells more.........https://www.eatthis.com/news-ugly-dangers-spicy-foods/
  8. It's Pad Krapow. You can use chicken, beef, or pork, minced or in pieces. My girlfriend cooks it a variety of ways, as do I, and the restaurant right next to where she lives makes it, and it looks exactly like the picture.

Taken one down can also mean getting the sh*ts, as many can testify if they visited Mexico and didn't heed the warnings. I never said killed. And slow motion suicide is what millions do when they don't follow a healthy lifestyle.
  10. fredwiggy replied to blackshadow's topic in Pattaya
True, but it's slow motion suicide, whereas drinking bad water will hit you immediately. It's always best to use the large water jugs which are filtered water and cheap insurance. Water has taken many people down in many countries.

  12. Thanks to the replies about getting a UPS. I was thinking about that when I first moved here but let it go until now. That's on my Christmas list for myself now!
  13. This wasn't an attack. This was a common sense reply. Vaccines have proven to save millions of lives over the centuries. I don't have a "type", and you didn't vaccinate because of other people, because you can still carry Covid and spread it, even though it might not hurt you. I'm myself, and do things that seem like sensible things. I got a vaccine because I didn't want to take a chance of being one of the healthy individuals that died, as I have no ailments I know of, and exercise and eat healthy all the time. No one knows if they would have been a victim if they didn't vaccinate, so let it lie. You have your opinion, and all I did was let you know what the truth was. Healthy people have died from Covid. I'm sure, being a person that exercises, that you knew this already. It has nothing to do with anger on my part. Vaccines are to protect you, and me, personally. Not others. It's up to you if you don't want a vaccine. I have a good friend that hasn't, as far as I know, gotten one, even though i tried to convince him otherwise, as i didn't want to see him die.

I have been wondering for quite awhile if any others have been having this kind of problem. Almost every day, without fail, the power will shut off for just a couple of seconds. Then I have to reboot my computer, which isn't fun, waiting for everything to load, and sometimes I will be typing something and the power will go off, and I'll lose what I typed. Also, the power will go off randomly just about once a week, for a few hours. I do know when they are working on something, because I'll be the one who calls them and asks. When I lived in Texas, the power might go off twice or three times a year, and usually during a storm. Here, it's daily, for a second or two, and weekly for hours. I know this isn't normal, but nothing's ever done. I asked my ex how long this has been happening, because I've seen it for the 6 years I've been living here, and she said many years. I live in southern Sisaket province, so I'm wondering if others in other areas, who use PEA, are having this trouble. I will be going to talk with them again, as I tried telling them at the local office and they didn't say much besides I don't know.
  15. You might want to tell that to the hundreds of healthy doctors and nurses who died from exposure before vaccines came along. Most people either don't get Covid or don't know they have it. I'm as healthy as you, having trained for over 50 years and kept a healthy diet for longer, and I didn't take the chance of being a statistic, preferring to be here as long as possible, both for myself and my family. It wasn't just obese and those with pre existing conditions that died.
  16. Locals deserve more money than they make, and this isn't a problem if they actually stay until the child is grown.
  17. For every sarcasm there's an element of truth. The only thing I agree with is that those who voted for Trump don't really know him for what he is, which includes half of my own family. Trying to sound like Liam Neeson in Taken isn't scary to anyone, especially those who are actually trained in combat. I understand the Viking mentality, and chose the US football team because of it, but it doesn't work in this day and age. You act like them, you share a room with a bunch of other sweaty, weak talkers.
  18. I suppose you think it's okay for actors, sports figures and the like to make as much money as they do for part time entertainment? That thinking is exactly why they get paid so much. None of them deserves the millions they get paid while others who contribute more than a pop song that just falls into line with the other millions made before don't get paid enough for their contributions to society. Cut back their salaries, along with he prices of food at the venues, and more can afford their part time entertainment. Nothing wrong with music, as I'm into it as much or more than anyone alive, which also makes my comment more understandable because I know what goes into the concerts and the workers surrounding them. Do you think these spoiled actors deserve 20 million for a few lines in a film? If you argue the point, that shows you're just another one of the sheep that enables these super rich to get where they are. Remember, it IS just part time entertainment, and not contributing anything more to society. And how can you say he is contributing nothing to society, nor anyone else you don't actually know? If he's helping children get through life, that's a much more worthwhile contribution than another soulless pop song.
  19. I've eaten it for many years before I even thought about coming here, and in the US, it tastes as good or better than here, mainly because the chefs are from here in those US restaurants. One chili, Mai Pet, is enough to have a good taste and some spice. The Thais have been adding more and more chilis over the generations where the subtle tastes of some food are lost to too much heat. They add without even tasting, because someone back when said more was better. It's not. Too much heat reduces your ability to taste the subtle flavors of food.
  20. Eaten it hundreds of times, both here and long before I moved here. Everyone I know eats it here, and most of my friends have back home also. Tell them Mai Pet if you don't like it too hot.

  22. Exactly. It isn't how big but how sensitive to touch. The bigger, the less sensitive. Big boobs are for boys. A man takes a woman as she is and doesn't feel the need to change her. Studies have been made where it found out the poorer the man, the bigger propensity for big boobs. Many men have mommy issues, which relates to the breast. The giver of life. Less than 50% of men like bigger boobs. These and many more reasons psychological.
  23. You are picking and choosing, as all of us do. I always wear a seat belt, although I didn't for a long time, until I moved to Texas and it was a law they enforced. Now I wear it because if I had an accident, especially here where the risks are high with all the incompetent drivers, I'd want to stay in the car, if by chance it flipped. Not wearing a seat belt in the US has risks not only for you, but for others. If you get into an accident, and aren't wearing a seat belt, and you die, that person can be charged with manslaughter. If your children aren't wearing one,, you can be charged also. Many rules are there to protect us from ourselves, and also to protect others from our irresponsibility. Drinking while driving, or just before, can hurt or kill not only us, but others. Not having insurance will ensure we will pay out of pocket for a long time, including a fine. Most everyone speeds, because they don't like the restrictions, but speed limits are there for a reason. Some roads are downright dangerous to drive, especially at night. Speed is the main reason people die on roads. Driving a tad over the speed limit isn't that bad, unless you are in a school zone. Legislators make the rules, taking into account professionals who theorize what speeds are safe in all conditions. Many of us download things in torrents, which are illegal and take from the profits of artists. Rules are there to protect others, and picking and choosing is what most do, because we are all rebels and do things that we think are right for us, even though they can affect others.
