  1. Actually facts as the world's over population can attest, especially with so many single parent families run by moms or grandmas. Are you still with those you slept with on night 1 or 2?
  2. There's no careful in most countries, and more so in poor countries where girls are looking more for a man to provide. Problem here is that most won't stick around, especially after a baby is born, and the biggest problem is that they aren't forced to pay child support, so that lets them go with one after another, and the babies end up with grandmas a lot of the time. Girls will never be anything but naive about men, and that has them sleeping with boys just because their friends do, or because they think he's so cute.
  3. Many men think they deserve sex because they take women on dates, and that's a boy's thinking. Dating is to get to know others, and that takes time. That's why you don't spend a lot of money on the first few dates. You want sex, you go to tinder. You want a partner, you find her in other ways. Men are the same everywhere and think women owe them, and they're wrong. No one deserves sex unless they treat a woman with respect all the time, and not think buying things gets them the right. Only a fool spends a lot of money on a woman after they've just met. Showing off has them thinking it'll be like that forever, or being too cheap does the same.
  4. Trust comes from time spent with people, and letting your guard down is how trouble starts. I didn't mean trust no one. I meant for 19 year old girls coming to Thailand, they shouldn't trust anyone because there are predators everywhere that look for victims who will trust them from the get go. It's plain stupid for a girl to trust people she doesn't know in another country. You can have a lot of fun if you travel in groups, never leave with anyone and watch your drinks and drinking if you're going to night clubs. Having a few people in life you can really trust is a blessing, but how many can you really trust in a lifetime? Friends are made over time and immediately, but trust takes time.
  5. Thailand is not safer than any other country. Might want to do research instead of guessing. Wiki is your friend. Many people live in one area, especially in the country and rarely leave their village, so they don't know what goes on all over, and the news only shows a fraction of it, although it's enough to see what goes on.If you trust no one you won't become a victim so easily. It's not about being afraid but smart.
  6. That's what happens because it would kill more tourism Problem is, as the years go by, more and more news gets out by expats to their families and friends back home and time will do a number on the country eventually. Also, things here are getting worse as far as violent crime using guns and knives.
  7. Western countries have a more developed news output. News time here is wasted on things that would never make news in the west. Crime stats are kept everywhere and are easy to research as many here only look at the news or word of mouth what happens and never hear most of what goes on here.
  8. It isn't paranoia wanting to be safe in a country not your own, especially teen girls who are targets everywhere. People take chances and sooner or later they'll pay. A woman is a lot more of a target than a man and needs to understand there are millions of bad people out there that are predators. Some Thai islands are known for tourists being targeted and better to be safe than sorry. Meeting "tons" of chicks that said they felt safe is a fraction of those that travel yearly and none of the ones who died or were raped on holidays. A woman traveling alone isn't using her head and just asking for trouble, especially when predators find out she's alone. Not trusting anyone leaves you safer period. Many people that live here don't know the extent of crime that happens, how many are trafficked and disappear every year.
  9. Yes, and all of them live right next door to other people.
  10. Never easy to know who you're sitting next to, as this man got a lot of women to help him and get in his car, so judging by looks never works..................
  11. I'm thinking in your sleep is a lot better than drowning.
  12. You've been living here long enough to know that drownings in Thailand are almost a daily thing, as parents do not teach their children how to swim in Thailand but rarely, mainly because they also don't know how. Getting drunk and going into a pond not knowing how to swim is a prelude to disaster. I won't assume he didn't know how to swim, but being drunk exacerbates bad decisions.
  13. I trust few doctors as they kill more people by over prescribing than a lot of other deaths but a competent doctor should know what he's ding as far as recommending anti depression meds for you. Did you have a pain problem, as that's one reason some SSRI"s are prescribed? People have and do get worse on the wrong anti depressants, so it's on the doctor to keep in touch with you on how things are going. Here I've noticed they don't.
  14. You have to remember Americans ancestors are from all countries worldwide, and that conglomeration of thinking has all cultures and nationalities making up what has gone on there for centuries. Included in this is the manufacture of and selling, promoting, and distribution of junk food. People have a choice if they want to eat junk food. It's not forced upon them. Your Australian food markets are promoting the junk food for profit, the same as everywhere else. Parents also are to blame...........https://www1.racgp.org.au/newsgp/clinical/report-exposes-australia’s-bad-dietary-habits
  15. Clinical depression is a serious ailment that needs treatment as soon as possible. Seasonal and environmental depression can be manageable by yourself by removing yourself from the stressors, although it could mean moving away from your location, especially if you live in the northern zones where clouds, rain and snow are common place. Some need medication for symptoms to handle their depression and many go the suicide route because they didn't get the help they need. If a doctor who's competent "pushes" medication on you, it would mean he listened to you and your symptoms, and make a judgement based on them, thinking meds might help you. A doctor isn't going to tell you to take anti depressants if you didn't tell him you were having trouble. Some SSRI's are used for chronic pain so if that was the case that would be why he suggested them.
  16. It isn't just Americans who need a role model.............https://www.aihw.gov.au/reports/overweight-obesity/overweight-and-obesity/contents/summary
  17. Good singer with a distinctive voice, thought provoking and fun lyrics people could relate to, a backing band more than adequate and lyrics sometimes raunchy like most all other rock bands because people like them.
  18. I didn't say the girls were dense, daft. Those were your words.
  19. They're not too hard to tell apart.
  20. People who gather stats and data are the same as anyone else. It's from observation. They observe, they write down data. We observe, we don't need to as it isn't our job. Both are valid. What one person sees, another can. People who drive twice as many miles see twice as many incidents of driving, and it doesn't make them biased if it's what they're seeing. If you make a judgement from a few people's driving and say all such and such are bad drivers, that isn't valid. Teenage wisdom.
  21. That's why I asked you to stop repeating things. Please stop assuming I don't know what you've been posting. I knew all about why accidents happen when I was a teenager. Things haven't changed besides more people on the roads and cell phone use, which is a main reason accidents happen in the west, and here also. I didn't dismiss anything. I know the stats and data on accidents, as I've said numerous times. If you don't read everything a person writes, it's called skimming and you miss important parts.
  22. I don't have them handy to tell you
  23. Do you mean all girls are too dense to understand they might be scammed?
