  1. There are quite a few Christians that don't practice what they preach, in any ways. Trump is a world upon hi,self, and a very strange malignant narcissist, which explains a lot of what he says and does. Putin is also, and a sociopath.
  2. I never said Americans didn't have accents. I lived in the San Antonio area 32 years, and of course there is a drawl down south, and I knew this when I was a child. Boston has their own accent also.
  3. No, my cats that went outside killed as I mentioned. I'm not disputing what they do, in fact agreeing with what they're capable of because I saw it myself, and read up on the cat species as a hobby.
  4. I had indoor cats all my life until I moved here, so lazy I wasn't. Just letting them go outside to do their business keeps the house cleaner and smelling better. It has nothing to do with ego pointing out stats anyone can find online.
  5. Going from the litter box to a kitchen counter is a little different than going outside and walking through grass for awhile before coming in but I see your point. I only have one cat here who stays outside because he was born there. When I live in the states, they are fixed and are inside/outside cats so they aren't out as long to prey on animals and birds.
  6. Not banned, just kept under a modicum of control. They belong here as do the big cats. When left to over populate, even deer cause many problems.
  7. You disputed the amount of damage, so I showed where it's more than you realize. I've known what cats are capable of all my life, and being a reader of what the big cats do, small cats are just a tiny relative that does the same amount of damage and would do the same to humans if they were bigger and were hurt somehow. I did keep my cats mostly inside when I had my own home, but they were let out to do their business.
  8. The point is to show just how much depredation they do cause, and how they are the ultimate hunters, all species of cats.
  9. If you've had cats that just stay indoors, you wouldn't see what they do as hunters outside. I and all of my family and friends, who all own cats, saw this for all our years in the US. If you can keep your cats off the counters, they still walk everywhere after using the litter box, which means bacteria all over the house, which is then touched by humans and transferred to everywhere you touch. Best to let them outside.
  10. These are just some stats showing what cats do, from studies........... The United States is estimated to house a population of 60-80 million cats,[48] and they are estimated to kill 2.4 billion birds per year, making them the leading human-caused threat to the survival of bird species in the country.[49] The majority of these kills are by feral cats, rather than owned cats.[6] In California, a study found that in areas where humans feed feral cats, they will continue to hunt large numbers of native birds even without the intention of eating them. This has resulted in the disappearance of native bird species, such as the California quail (Callipepla california) and California thrasher (Toxostoma redivivum), in those areas where they once resided. In Maryland, a study showed that due to cats overhunting chipmunks, the natural prey of many raptor species, the Cooper's hawk (Accipiter cooperii) population struggled to find food and had to switch to preying on harder-to-catch songbirds, which lengthened their hunting times and increased their nestlings mortality rate.[50] In Hawaii, cats were introduced by European sailing ships that used them for pest control. They prey on songbirds and many other birds that nest on the ground and in burrows. Nestlings unable to fly are especially vulnerable. Cats successfully hunt in a variety of habitats. A study was made in endangered birds' habitats with an infrared camera to learn how much cats affected the population of birds. The study found that up to 11% of palila nests were depredated yearly. The critically endangered palila produces few eggs per year and the nestlings develop slowly, so that depredation rate could result in extinction.[51] In New York City, cats are commonly brought into businesses to combat the city's rat problem. Studies done in New York City determined that cats are not effective predators against rats and much more of a threat to other urban wildlife.[52] Research conducted at a Brooklyn waste management facility observed minimal predation on Norway rats, with only three successful or attempted kills recorded over 79 days of observation. Instead, feral cats tend to focus on smaller, easier prey such as birds and mice.[53]
  11. If you've ever owned cats, and kept them inside, you know of the litter box smell, and when they do their business there, they then scratch to bury, and walk over and jump on tables and counters where food is made. This is why we let ours outside and stopped using a at box. My daughter has two living only inside and they use the box and jump up on everything, and she's a very clean person, so has to constantly clean up. One cat pees to mark his territory because the other is a female, and he's fixed so it shouldn't happen.
  12. Yes, especially in urban areas. Or let out then let back in after they've done their business. In all my life, I've seen all of my cats come home with birds and animals. One cat who had 7 claws on each paw was a real killer. In two days, he brought home 2 full grown rabbits. Ate half of one (head side) and left the other in the back yard. This was added to many birds and rats, mice he brought home weekly. And it's not agenda driven manipulation. Wiki is right on in everything. They posts facts and are one place to go where opinions aren't used. They go by studies.
  13. This is what I knew of before, so I found it now again. It's true they will eat garbage and beg , especially in cities, but in neighborhoods, especially close to wooded areas, they will look to birds, squirrels and rabbits also...........https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cat_predation_on_wildlife.
  14. Tacos are for everyone, and most are sold to Mexicans in the San Antonio and Houston metro areas. Tamales also, although white buy them for holidays more.
  15. Much is true but having cats all of my life I've seen their hunting skills firsthand, along with other cats I didn't own. They are born killers, just like tigers, lions, cheetahs and leopards. They eat meat manly, so if they're outside, that's what they'll look for. A handout from humans is always accepted but they still will kill just for fun. I've seen my own cats jump straight up in the air to bring down a bird flying above, and kill it, although this was an inside/outside cat that was well cared for and fed daily. A tiger, lion or leopard, along with the others, kill daily to survive, and turn to humans if they're hurt, and they will hunt humans and kill them until they are themselves killed. When I lived in Texas in a subdivision out in the country (until recently, as the city moved next to it), coyotes used to come into the subdivision (I watched them while hunting next to it), to look for food. A lady heard her poodle yelp, then disappear one day, as it was taken by a coyote. If you can keep cats inside it's always best, as they'll take a huge toll on birds, along with the vermin which in itself is a good thing. My cats in Texas went outside and I saw what they were capable of doing, although they spent most of the time indoors.
  16. You can always sell tacos in Texas, especially if they're good and you have less competition. Truck stops, if they let you, are the best places in Texas, especially along the major highways. People need gas, and fresh tacos are more appealing than truck stop fare for the most part. Just like any business. Location, location, location.
  17. The smartest thing you can do is get her to move there, period. You can visit here, and rent for some months, just to see how it is, but it's not a place to be if you get bored easy, especially in Isaan. If you're making good money in the states, stay there. If you have hobbies you enjoy there, remember many aren't available here, especially in the country. If you like the beaches, Thailand has some nice ones, and that's the only place you wouldn't be bored unless you like gardening and drinking most of the time. Europe has a lot of nice things, especially food, scenery, mountains, lakes and good fishing and hunting, which are my things, but again, in the country there's not much to do, and if you don't like winter, it's long there, especially in northern areas. I lived in New Jersey and moved to Texas because the winter was too long in New Jersey. I miss it, but when I move back to Texas I can always visit anywhere in the states easily. Many Thais move to the US every year, and most never come back here because of more opportunity there.
  18. From Texas too, San Antonio area, and yes, starting a business there is also hard, even though more have more cash. Competition is fierce and you have to find something different to make any money. Everything you can think of, from coffee shops to burger places, sandwich shops to vegetable or fruit sales, has already been tried. Here, they have much less money, and one thing Thais do well, is try and figure out what will sell, and that involves one commodity no one can do without. Food or drink. There are coffee shops everywhere, and they only last if there aren't any others close. Noodle shops and vegetable sellers barely get by, as that's the usual go to to make money here. My ex tried to start a noodle shop here in our village, and although she makes good noodle soup, it didn't make any money as there already is 4 others doing the same thing who have been here a long time. Another family member tried selling meat, veggies and fish, and it stopped in a few months for the same reason. Durian was big, and still is, but so many got into it, you'll see 5 sellers right after another on a road, and they have a hard time selling out because of it. Small business fail more than succeed because of the population and the competition.
  19. The only way to avoid any problems regarding any species is keeping their numbers at a reasonable level, meaning no over population. This means spay and neuter unless you want more kittens, which most don't anyway. Cats are born killers, and they will kill even if well fed, and especially more so if left to roam unfed. In the house they are good for keeping vermin and insects down, but this means a cat littler box, which has problems. A cat does not belong on a leash, along with most dogs. If you have a yard that can contain them, that's good, but containing a cat is almost impossible. Spay and neuter is the only way, as more cats means more dead animals.
  20. If you lived there long enough, you would understand them better and see they're not all that way. Some, many in fact, are stable, family oriented and not greedy. They're usually with the smart men who won't let them go so a single one is harder to find. I find Thai women to be among the most attractive on earth, but I've seen many and been with some American ones that are killer. They're not all Karens , huge or Kardashians.
  21. And it's also hard to stop people from assuming they know anything about you, because ignorance is rampant in many.
  22. Do you know my past? No, so you can't comment on any of it. They obviously wanted me as they were with me for some time. I could have stayed with almost all of them, but our future plans didn't coincide so we went our own ways. I wasn't as good at spotting a covert narcissist then as i am now, especially after my ex here. I gave some the benefit of the doubt even though red flags were there. Better to leave sooner than later. Especially if no children are involved. If you had more than 5 or 6 girlfriends in your life, you would understand this. I treat all women very well, with love , respect and honor. Why would a woman that's attracted to this leave? Because future plans again, don't coincide. I got to know my wives better because we had children and I always try and make things work, but it takes two and both have to be on the same page. if there's abuse, neglect, cheating or mental illness, you don't stay, even if there are children. You just leave and make sure those children go with the stable parent, at least as fast as possible.
  23. GG, I've read that, along with hundreds of other books and articles on children, so I could help the ones I've had, especially because their mothers were not parents and only egg donors. And try not thinking others don't understand Chinese women and you're some kind of expert. Do you have a Chinese girlfriend or wife, or any long lasting relationships with any, or are you just on the outside reading a few stories about how they might think? Again, it's best not to assume you know me, nor anyone else here.
  24. Who says I haven't met any normal women? I've had almost 100 girlfriends, and many of them were very nice, stable women. The ones I married is what you've heard about. Those were my bad choices where I could have done a lot better with many of the girls I dated. That I had children with them is the only reason I stayed at all. Normal women aren't imaginary. They're just the jewels we hope to someday find, and you will, if you have faith and avoid toxic ones as soon as possible.
  25. Again, you need to stop commenting on things you know little to nothing about. You have not been to the US in 45 years, so your opinion means nothing. You're ass kissing of the Chinese doesn't work here, as most of us know what the China thinking is about. There are countless Chinese women who are abused and looked down upon by their men, which is the same thinking in all of Asia, mainly because of Buddhist thinking about a woman's place. A Chinese woman who moved to America is still a Chinese woman, although she's a US citizen and is smart enough to see what Trump is all about, something which many of his voters still don't see.
