  1. And to think Thailand was wrong with a 15 year old consent. This is pedophile thinking, period. Whoever want's to put this in place is thinking about themselves and their right to molest and rape a child. I would only hope to see an exodus of women with their daughters to other countries to save them from these animals who think they own their women. Total control over another human being, much like the human traffickers who are already the lowest form of scumbag the world knows. These might take the title.
  2. Why do you feel the need to change usernames and follow others that have proven you wrong before, then with your low self esteem and narcissistic ways, can't help but coming back again and again just to argue? You act like a spoiled child, maybe the golden one, who thinks they're always right because mommy said you were the best. ......................NickyLouie said "Shame back home we have these things called : sig sauer p226". I replied............."And wishing I could carry mine here. Now all you can have is a baseball bat in your car for self defense, although a baseball bat can put down anyone if wielded by someone strong"................... Why didn't you comment on his words of "violence"? Because you're trolling me, following me around with three usernames because I proved you wrong months ago. Hardly a keyboard warrior, just someone that can defend himself and his family, and use deadly force without thinking, like all fathers and husbands should. Better you logout and not come back, as this forum is for adult thinkers.
  3. And wishing I could carry mine here. Now all you can have is a baseball bat in your car for self defense, although a baseball bat can put down anyone if wielded by someone strong.
  4. Try staying out of the conversation if you're only going to skim, then nitpick others, certain others, and not everyone. This is what I replied to since you didn't bother to do as i asked..............".I'm from the US. I've seen 6 murders over 30 years in my neighborhood there, and a gang shooting next to my house in Hartford CT 2 years ago. The US is by far the most violent country in the world, they were shooting each other and killing over mask rules during covid. one of the reasons I came here, where I have managed to live a peaceful life for 11 years".............................This is why I posted the link about violence here. Violence which is the crux of this topic. Comparing violence here to other countries is also relevant, but that escapes your thinking. I know who you are and others here do also, and using a few usernames doesn't disguise the attitude and trolling behavior. Along with the emoticons you always use. Plus the "word salad" phrase. Discussing a subject sometimes means arguing one's point against another's. Guess that also blew past you. Before you reply to someone, think first what you're going to say, because the way you and a few others here act, it makes a lot of us here think you're not an expat but a teenager that only likes to argue, or a narcissist that can't take the truth about themselves. And by the way, my ex wanted to come back all along, because I treated her better than anyone ever had before. She kidnapped my child and hid her 4 times, which is called parental kidnapping, and offense in most countries that brings jail time, but here they don't care because they don't care much about children, especially the justice system. I don't go back with a narcissist abuser that gives her children up to grandma , meaning her two previous girls, and abuses both them and I. Assuming being another one of your traits.
  5. Again, READ what others have said to me before my replies, then you'll understand how things go a little off but still relate to the topic at hand. Don't just look at my replies but at those before me I'm responding to, then you might say the same thing about them.Road rage here IS about violence here. You're making the mistake thinking you know what went down. No one here does, and can only assume.
  6. Read all the replies, from others to mine, then my replies, then you can decipher what mine meant. I'm sure others haven't been to Pattaya, yet can comment because people they know have, and the hundreds of comments on this forum shows more what goes on there. Where do I seem to think I know everything about Pattaya from my reply?
  7. The topic is about violence here. Comparing it to other countries or other violence, especially here, is relevant. I'm also answering others replies to me, which does add on to the topic. My not being to Pattaya means nothing. News travels fast. And you also weren't there, so you couldn't know who did what. You have to read every reply to know where things go, and how they relate.
  8. You're way off in that guess, as it doesn't even make the top 20. I lived in the US 62 years, 30 close to NYC, including working there and then living next to San Antonio for 32. I never saw any crime besides fights, although yes it did happen. Thailand has a higher intentional homicide rate and is slowly catching up as far as gun crime, along with mass shootings that happen here all the time...................https://securityjournaluk.com/most-dangerous-countries-in-the-world/.
  9. I felt the same way when I visited last November, and surely will when I go there this week. I was home again.
  10. Many people own the AR-15 platform, but very few own assault rifles, which are automatics. Most are hunters and target shooters, and these aren't the ones committing crimes. It's a few that get their hands on others rifles or manage to buy them themselves, and that's the laws that need to be changed, as many of them are under 21, which should be the legal age to purchase firearms. Most gun crime in the US is gang related or suicides. Thailand actually has a higher intentional homicide rate then the US, and gun crime here is closing in on the US daily. If you live in any country areas in any country, you won't see much crime anyway, besides domestic, and in countries like Thailand, you have to research to know the true stats of crime as most of it isn't going to be on the news.
  11. Road rage happens in every country, and if you look at dangerous driving countries, Thailand is much worse than most. If you don't live in the US, you don't know what goes on there. If you do, you should know more than what the news tells you.People aren't shooting each other on the roads like you think.
  12. Same here. Another mentioned it was a taxi driver so I thought there was more to the story besides him driving a car.
  13. Actually seeing how parents fight is good for any child, as it teaches them how to handle confrontations. Everyone fights with their partners, unless one is controlled and is afraid. It's how you fight that matters. Coming at someone with a weapon isn't good of course. My daughter didn't see but one of those times, and she was only 2 and was busy eating.
  14. Another mentioned it was a taxi, and I was thinking there was another story besides this one, where it said he was driving a car. You keep saying I'm always wrong, or confused, and this one time is all you go by? There is no again, so keep it to this one time and concentrate on what really matters, as it doesn't matter what he was driving but that he attacked the Brit with a weapon.
  15. I just meant that his driving or his job wasn't to blame for this encounter but his mentality. True, carrying a weapon while you're working gives you opportunities to attack patrons, but this man would do this anywhere the way he thinks.
  16. DNA rarely makes anti social people. Very rarely is a person born anti social. The first five years of a person's life are the most important. How they are treated and raised is how they go into the world. The following years are also important and consistency is what makes a person what they are. If it's an abusive or neglected childhood, they will have baggage that will follow them the rest of their lives, and it's hard to endure bad treatment and be a positive person, but not impossible. If you're treated well, that's what you'll expect from others, and are more likely to stay away from toxic people. The world has many really disturbed people because they were raised by very disturbed people and they couldn't separate from that way of thinking.
  17. It still has nothing to do with him plying his trade. If he's one to carry a weapon, that means he's one to use it anywhere. Many carry weapons here because they're cowards and many because of fear. I know what western courts do with these kinds of offenses, but that doesn't happen here with it's weak justice system and corruption.
  18. How am I being negative? I know what tourist areas are like, and what Pattaya has isn't what I'm into. I have a girlfriend in Isaan and I'm not a bar patron, and I've been to many beaches in many areas and prefer less people. I posted a link that shows what makes a world class resort. I've been to a few world class areas and they all provide much the same things. I am unbiased.
  19. The rich and famous are targets for opportunists, and also think they can do whatever they want and get away with it. Hardest thing to prosecute without real evidence, and many women don't come forward because of threats or fear of embarrassment. More and more people are supporting a woman's decision to not let this pass, as it isn't their fault when a predator attacks, but some just want to make money and accuse others who are innocent, which is despicable.
  20. What about the guards who are supplying the drugs?
  21. If the punishment fit the crimes, more people would think before they acted. Banning driving for an assault doesn't match. This wasn't about using the taxi in the crime. Some here see someone hit another in a fight, and suggest deporting, not actually seeing the confrontation and what happened. Fining many people teaches them a lesson, unless they are rich and entitled. Intentional harm against another innocent is a reason to deport, because that takes a certain mentality, and will probably happen again. Two people drunk and acting stupid earns a few days in jail and a fine, hoping it teaches them to think the next time.
  22. There's never a reason to be embarrassed by what others do. They aren't you, and the actions of a few don't put all of the same into the same category. Many Brits come here, and some do stupid things. The same goes for Swedes, Americans, Africans, Germans, and every other country that visits. Only the ignorant judges a nationality by just a few's actions.
  23. The question was is Pattaya a world class resort. Re read what I wrote. I'm unbiased and compared it to another world class area, and provided a link that explains what makes a world class resort. You take what you hear, read and see and make a decision. I knew a lot about Thailand many years before I ever came here, and after I've been here over 6 years, see what I heard and read is true. Not all opinions are false, and studies and stats have evidence. I know exactly what Trump is, long before he became president, but I never vote because he's just another politician that promises the world and delivers just some, like all the others. Will he help the common man? We'll see. On the outside is a good place, because you look at everything then decide unbiased.
  24. I have not been there and will not go, but even if it's a trashy area, dirty in some areas, has crime, gangs, drugs and drunks, it still has what some look for. New York City has almost all of what any would want in entertainment, and a lot more than Pattaya will ever have besides nice beaches, with just Coney Island there, but it's not a good place to live for many reasons. This is what one says...........https://blog.coverglassusa.com/important-aspects-of-a-luxury-resort
