British Man Injured in Pattaya Road Rage Incident with Thai Driver
fredwiggy replied to Georgealbert's topic in Pattaya News
You don't have to piss off a disturbed woman to have her attack. The first time I returned early from a place I went to and she gave me the silent treatment. I asked her a few times what was wrong, and after the third time, she threw a glass bowl at me, hitting the ground in front of me and pieces of glass cut my foot. Then she got up and went to the kitchen, got a knife and came towards me. I told her that's not a good idea, and she backed off. The second time, she was sweeping the floor in her mom's house, was very angry at her mom,( a not an occasional thing), and I went over to her and asked her for a hug. She slapped me, then went to the kitchen and got a knife and came at me. This time her sister intervened and told her to stop, and she backed off. The third time we had an argument about me wanting her to speak more English to our daughter, to help her learn faster. She was already in a bad mood over something else (not me) and she got up and again did the same, and again I told her to stop. She also hit me at least 5 other times just because she has a lack of self control and goes to violence because this is what she learned from abusive parents. Also where she learned to be a covert narcissist. Abuse and neglect in childhood. I picked the wrong woman to marry here, and especially to have a child with, and it's the reason I'm still here, until I can re locate back home with my daughter. It's certainly not the LOS for many. -

When you're in a country that doesn't enforce laws much, you need to bend a little and let some things go. I could have taken the knife from her and hurt her, but I just waited until she calmed down, once with her sister getting in the middle. And we have a child together, and I was not going to just leave her like so many others do after having a child here, both locals and foreigners. There isn't anything you could have done besides what I did, besides leave, and let your child be with this kind. She's been abusive to both our child and her second one in my presence. It stopped with ours because I told her not again. It's ongoing with her second every time she lives with her, which isn't much. Did you see what happened with this Brit and Thai? If not, you can't comment who did what. It's best not to start any fights with anyone, because many people underestimate others and pay for it. Self defense is different. Just because this is the only incident I've personally seen doesn't mean I haven't seen any on the news , researched about or heard from others (which I don't fully believe unless there's evidence). It happens daily here, with guns, knives, machetes, sticks and whatever,as the link I provided shows. -
Thai woman arrested in Bangkok for pimping out girls aged 14-16

Are you MalcomB or his brother? You seem to always say the same things. Saying I post nonsense when I post facts, and neither you or him has ever proven me wrong, yet still come back time after time just to , again, troll. Thailand is unusual, much different in some thinking than other countries, and is why it's still considered behind. If you haven't noticed this, might try researching instead of replying. -

Best to research why prostitution starts, and who makes a living from it. A young person's brain isn't fully developed until the mid twenties, meaning rational decisions are harder to make then. Taking away forced sex work, there is still those that were abused as children or prodded into the trade by disturbed parents wanting money. They might know why they are hired but aren't mature enough to make that kind of decision. -

Yes I live in Thailand and was aware what goes on here long before I moved here, and have seen it proven since. A predator is someone that goes after under aged girls. The 15 year old age of consent is something a pedophile would think up. Yes, it's Thailand and still third world thinking, hopefully with the younger generations to come it will change. Things that have been accepted for decades and more doesn't mean they are right. -

I've actually never been wrong because i base my replies on facts and not assumptions. And brown nosing gets caught out and people understand why others do it. Yes, locals do read this forum. And tell me where I've gotten anything wrong, because always doesn't apply to anyone, especially me, as I mentioned earlier. It surely does for you most of the time, assuming you know anyone here or how much they know, and basing your replies on your own lack of knowledge on subjects and a barstool philosophy. -

My ex came at me three times with a knife, and I've heard it many times from others personally. I also watch the news a lot and research crimes. How many farangs have you actually seen angry, beyond normal pissed off actions? A lot exaggerate things. You weren't there , so can't comment on what went down. I've seen some very disturbed people who looked very calm beforehand, then attacked others looking the part of a madman, so that doesn't work either. Also can't comment on anyone being a "gentleman" if they hit someone and you don't know the circumstances. -

You said........."Who is to blame"? ...........He said............"The pimp and the customers, they are children.".........meaning, the pimps and customers are to blame, because, "they, the 14 to 16 year olds, are children. -

True, I'm sure most would like to see a followup where the pimp and whatever customers are caught spending a few years sleeping on a dirty floor with 100 more of the same types. -

He knows that, you missed what he meant. The pimps and customers are adults, and these are children they're selling. -

How do you know many university girls offer sex for money? Personal experience or hearsay? There is a huge human trafficking network operating in Thailand, helped along by some officials to look the other way for a bribe.Who's to blame are the scumbags that purchase these girls, along with some parents and of course the operators of the business, who's punishment should be permanent. -

I would think most are paid by parents who care or part time work , or both. There are plenty of jobs available where girls don't have to lower themselves selling their bodies. -

As does human traffickers, parents that force their daughters to work in the sex trade so they can send money back to the disturbed parents, addicted to drugs by others, then sold for profit, abusive or a molested childhood so their thinking is skewed towards sex to those who pay for same. -

Can't assume anything about anyone unless it's proven fact. I know most crime here is locals against locals, and it happens all day long, every day of the year. You can watch the daily news and see a small fraction of it. I didn't mention anything about traffic. Anyone can see the driving here is among the most dangerous on earth. And the laws on driving are much the same everywhere, although here they aren't enforced anywhere near what happens in the west. The way to adapt to driving here is to stay away from everyone as much as possible, not trusting what they might do next. -
Dog deterrent app that actually works ??
fredwiggy replied to Chivas's topic in Plants, Pets & Vets in Thailand
And its also a way to get an aggressive dog to turn on the violence. Making friends is always the best idea, as no one else is going to "train" these dogs to be friendly. If they attack, of course you can use a baton, against the one that comes at you. Then you leave as soon as possible. The pit and all other genes are all over this country but it doesn't mean they are automatically aggressive. It's taught behavior. A pit can cause more damage than most if it attacks, but any dog can bite and hurt people. -

fredwiggy replied to Chivas's topic in Plants, Pets & Vets in Thailand
Some dogs are born soi, and all they've learned is to attack others that get close. These dogs will attack people also if they enter their territory. Most dogs here don't give you a passing glance, but like everywhere, there are dogs that are vicious, mainly because this is what they've been taught, either by people or other dogs. This is what the OP means when he needs protection. -

And the brown noser award of the week goes to................Do you not know or understand what goes on here daily, all over the country, with locals stabbing, kicking, shooting, beating and mauling others, often drunk, high on drugs , often just angry with the world in Thailand? And defensive weapons, more so meaning weapons to attack, are carried all over the country in cars, under scooter seats, on tractors and on person because this is a learned behavior of cowards. Farangs are a tiny fraction of daily violence here.- 200 replies

Pattaya parents outraged after teacher attacks 12 year old boy
fredwiggy replied to snoop1130's topic in Pattaya News
One can only go by personal experience and what others have said. I myself have seen my daughters teacher hit many students with a stick when they didn't answer a question fast enough, or started acting a little goofy, as most 7 year olds do. I talked to the supervisor and she had a talk with the teacher. I saw it happen again, and was told she also hit my daughter on the butt with the stick. I again talked to the supervisor, telling her if it happens again, she would be up on charges and removed. It seems to have stopped, as I haven't noticed any other incidents when picking up my daughter, but I'm only there some of the time as she also stays with her mother. If it was a male teacher, he would have been down for the count. I do hear it happens often here, but can only speak from what I've seen. I see mothers walking around and going to clinics with their kids holding sticks, and have seen one in my village hit her son when he started acting out, so It's also parents of course that use this abusive behavior. They learned from other abusers in their childhood.
