I support the same club and yes everyone knows who it is so its silly not to mention his name. He cannot be punished for something he hasn't been charged with though and it shouldn't be down to the club to punish him for something he hasn't been charged with either. He should have retained full anonymity (at the same level as the accuser) and no-one should know who it is at this stage. Once his name was made public they should have sold him to a Saudi club really. That fact that didn't happen makes me assume that the club believe he has a good case to prove his innocence over this as I doubt they would tarnish their own reputation if he did not.

I've heard this argument before.
