  1. Not inclined to believe either, been on both ends of the stick, lost track of how many beers ive drunk but also had my bill padded on more than one occasion. But never assaulted the staff i just talk with my wallet and never frequent the bar again and share the experience with my friends so they stop using the place as well
  2. Will be same as weed legalization, wait for people to invest then change their mind when new government comes to power
  3. Both pm and deputy pm need heads banging together Deputy pm for its deregulation without proper laws to back its use, he let it become a free for all and has caused many to doubt it legitimate use, worse still he encouraged millions if not billions of investment to only have his party partner try to get it made illegal again pm must have been sampling some of the weed he is against if he think he can easily close pandora’s box again after 2 years of freedom compenSation needs to be forthcoming if its criminalized again and civil action against former minister of health for dereliction of duty rushing it through to gain election votes plus when it was decriminalized all those who were serving time for possession were released from jail and records expunged will they be recalled to jail and their criminal record reinstated
  4. This is not japan, those antics over here ill likely get you killed
  5. When are police and immigration bosses going to start the good guys in bad guys out within their own organizations
  6. They haven’t agreed to it, they just signed an agreement to talk about it in future meetings
  7. Step 1 arrest all immigration officers working in cahoots with visa agencies
  8. So no innocent until proven guilty for foreigners in Phuket, by all mean investigate and prosecute but why revoke there visa if they are to remain in the country to face charges.
  9. Safeguarding tourism while risking the health of tourists by allowing them to travel to the region? Enjoy your holiday heres some free face masks
  10. Maybe a good option instead of medical insurance for expats. If you are seriously ill, commit a minor crime resulting in a short custodial sentence then complain of ill health and demand the same medical imprisonment and treatment as Thaksin (because all prisoners are treated the same apparently) then get free treatment paid for by the state
  11. The horse was on edge and the owner immediately recognized it as a sign of sexual ass So horse is stressed and his first assumption is my horse has been sexually abused,
  12. Slow month because they are giving the 2 swiss guys much more than the 2 minutes of fame and last week story was a British guy coming and saying never wanted to leave.
  13. Who in there right mind would build a casino in Thailand all that investment money and then the next government come in and decide gambling is a blight on Thailand and make it illegal again, just look at the weed situation
  14. After all that its not even his own property but a rented one, how can they revoke his visa if he still has charges pending, either drop the charges and revoke his visa or keep his visa active while the case is under long drawn out legal process
  15. All he needs now is a medical condition (which under thai law is not allowed to be known apparently, then jobs a good un and spend whole sentence in Police hospital)
  16. Sorry ladyboys of Thailand, sex work isn't on the list of protected jobs
  17. Thats without looking at businesses established just to enable a foreigner to buy property, they turn that stone and people are going to lose their homes
  18. How is this newsworthy? Hundreds of people do this every day unfortunately most will return home with their tail between their legs. I give it 4 months and few trips to immigration before those rose tinted glasses are slapped off his face. Said he was working as a receptionist for £11 an hour so bet he wasn’t get vast amounts of money saved, doesn’t mention after university so not sure he has a degree (good luck getting a long term teaching job where you can settle down and have a family without one) having a British passport and language means nothing anymore unlike 15 years ago when it was a rarity and guaranteed you a job. Thailand is much cheaper than the Uk but the typical salary here is less as well (unless you have certain skills and qualifications in demand, not really screaming out for receptionists last time i checked recruitment websites) wish him luck but think he is for a rude awakening when reality sets in, AseanNow thought this was news worthy lets see if they can do a follow in the next 4 months when his visa expires and then again in 12 months if he is still here
  19. If its ok for hospitals, restaurants, national parks then why cant a foreigner have a similar policy?
  20. Is this the new justice system for ladyboys, they get caught stealing and foreigners are allowed to create a mob and attack them
  21. Stupid and deserves punishment but cmon Thailand demonstrations!! You have far bigger things to worry about, rape murder, drugs, child abuse even the ex prime minister who was actually sentenced to 8 years in jail and is now free without spending 24 hours behind bars didnt get this many protesters
  22. Will be thoroughly reviewed by the cabinet before implementation! Hold on am I missing something ? Isn't one of the current cabinet namely the Deputy Prime Minister responsible for the whole debacle of decriminalizing weed in the first place… after he encouraged investors is he going to be held liable
  23. Ok not the best idea but id be more concerned about the guy who rode past then turned around then located himself in a good position to be able to film, every dodgy thing a foreigner does will negatively effect the image of Thailand.. half the stuff thats goes on in Thailand daily that the news doesn’t publish would be disastrous for the country if it was reported in English
  24. This will blow up in her face when she actually travels to Thailand next, her passport will set off alarms
  25. What about sugar and product containing excess amounts of sugar? We all know the risks of smoking and alcohol but these hidden sugars in our foods kill more people each year than cigarettes and booze added together
