  1. nothing been done about the exploitation of kids in the last 15 yrs of traveling to and living in Thailand kids still roaming the bars late at night selling gum/flowers/fruit, typical Thailand cant see whats under their noses until it hits the international news then the Ministers are coming out of the woodwork making promises that they have no intention of keeping, just make a big song and dance until things die down
  2. They do far worse to themselves every day, constantly seeing various monks around the country engaged in sexual relationships, taking drugs. Clean up your own house and people might be more inclined to take the religion more serious
  3. Celebrating his 90 visa, stupid lad, if he came here to avoid the draft then has royally shot himself in the foot…. Might have to do that next now he is persona non grata here
  4. Met him on a hookup app! went on a date to a bar! Allowed a relative stranger to spend the night in your bed! Then surprised something untoward happens, do we expats leave our brain cells in our home countries when we come here
  5. Her feet look suspiciously large for a woman
  6. Flocking really when gbp is down to 43 baht? Chiang mai will likely kill any residents with breathing difficulties £1500 a month seems very reasonable but then need to add in the 800,000 per person for the visa which will probably be a nightmare for the family to get out of the bank when someone dies, the uk isnt great but has the national health service which is free, any inevitable age related illnesses will put a serious dent in a retirees savings
  7. Why does there always need to be a CRACKDOWN? Crime prevention and detection should be a daily occurrence. Thai police are always reactive and never proactive if you want to look into mafia start in your own police organization, working in cahoots with visa agents doesn’t help the situation
  8. From experience in the court system its a crazy system. Released and passport detained by the police they would take you to the immigration to get extension stamp, then after an initial visit to the court admin office you are given a court date and your passport is returned this is where immigration get pissed off, you have your passport back and need them to extend your visa, they are used to foreigners leaving the country now so every visit they shout at you to go home then the same thing happens for most of the 12 months probation. If the court dont want him to leave dont give him his passport back and provide court documents for his visa
  9. Targeting one foreign rider ! What about the thousands of thai riders doing the same thing on a daily basis. Certainly make him face punishment but treat him the same as all the thai riders he is mimicking
  10. Good idea in principle but this will quickly turn into a corrupt method of subsidizing and individuals police salary. The police chief keeps demanding that the public trust his officers, but that’s impossible with a different police corruption or criminality scandal every week they only way to sort this is to drastically reduce the size of the police force especially senior officers, pay the police a better salary, issue police weapons (police currently get huge discounts on guns, these will often be sold on for a profit after the holding period. I like to see every gun involved in a crime investigated to see who originally purchased it) separate agency promotion exam boards so only the youngest and brightest get promoted instead of the one with biggest pocket. Police complaints procedures, so those incompetent officers can be weeded out after a certain amounts of public complaints, stop this moved to an inactive post and terminate their employment. The police and thai people have forgotten that the police are public servants and are employed at the will of the people
  11. Wow police doing there job and it becomes newsworthy headline
  12. Publicity stunt and of zero practical policing use,
  13. Why? According to Putin Russia is not at war, its just a special operation. what about Ukrainians are they being given the same dispensation, after all it was there country that is under siege
  14. Israel are renowned for taking decisive military action against any and all perceived threats to its sovereignty or citizens, what did Hamas expect to happen? Ok they encroached onto Israeli territory caused panic and devastation for a few hours but what kind of victory have they achieved. All that is going to happen is condemnation from the rest of the world, and either the total destruction of Gazza or its occupation and annexation by Israel, and they can do it with the rest of the world thinking that Hamas brought it upon themselves
  15. Has a place. Within the government but is too sick to return to jail
  16. The guy who screwed up the cannabis regulations now giving directions on the gun laws …. God help us
  17. Too sick for detention but prime minister has already stated that he wants him as an adviser to his office, to sick for prison but healthy enough to return to politics
  18. Question 1. How many other convicted and sentenced prisoners have been treated in the Police hospital in recent years, how many of those were flown by helicopter and how many got to stay in a private room? ( i ask because a guy i know was allowed to die in the hospital wing of the prison without and special treatment) question 2. If his sentence has been cut because he is old and seriously ill why is the prime minister already talking about him having a place as a government adviser, surely if he is too sick and old to serve his sentence then he is definitely to frail to be involved in politics question 3. How is a politician who fled the country and was later convicted and sentenced on various corruption charges allowed to legally have anything to do with politics again? question 3. Why was his sentence cut? Why not let him be released under house arrest with monitoring bracelet?
  19. Should be placed in house arrest on an ankle bracelet for the full term of the 8 year imprisonment if he is so ill, bet a few days after his release he’ll be out living the high life. Thailand keep insisting that there is justice for all but still we see that rich and poor receive very different treatment
  20. Dumb as bricks, the senate will have the vote to decide on there premier choice, red shirts are even less likely to gain the votes than the move forward candidate.
  21. Hmmm and i wonder what happens while this vote is postponed indefinitely…. The general and the guy who gave the senators there jobs will remain in charge…..
  22. He created the mess yet hopes for a peaceful resolution
  23. Anyone have a deja vous feeling?
  24. Simply make it easier to get a taxi n the provinces
  25. Just make sure those selling have a business license and are paying the relevant taxes, prohibit smoking in public places, limit the amount allowed to be carried, public warning labels same as cigarettes warning of the effects of intoxication so not getting people running to emergency room thinking they are dying people need a stress relief from the daily rigors this government has priced a good time with a few beers out for most minimum wage Thais, there is a war on meth but a yaba pill can be bought for as little as 2 baht a bottle of beer comes in at 65 baht, cannabis could be used as a buffer between the two if handled correctly
