Abusing him for his behaviour was just one aspect. No issue with that. But of course then the racist worms come out of the woodwork to pollute the thread and their posts get removed. So unless you read all of the posts at the time, you would have no idea. Of course some posters here know what went on, but are simply being disingenuous.

I don't need to try again. There is a reason why the thread was closed and that was because of racist remarks. They were removed from view by Admin. So the ones that are left are not going to show what went on. Many racist posts have been removed from this thread too. I don't see any claiming that he was discriminated against because he is black; but I saw many references to 'woke' and 'take the knee' which has absolutely nothing to do with this situation, other than dirty racists trying to get a kick in.

Lies. No one came on and said it was about race; others than the racists here who abused him for being black.
But not one post suggesting that he was being discriminated against during the incident. The ONLY comments about his race were from the dirty racists here.

I'm not internet savvy so please bear with me.
Have been having quite a few power cuts lately.
From 0800hrs to 0018hrs tomorrow.
I've been reading about the AIS 1 years sim cards on here for my tablet.
Looking for a decent speed and unlimited.
A search on Lazada brings up loads of options.
Can anyone advise if something like this would be OK?
TIA.
No, it isn't. Why not simply choose from the existing links in this very thread?

Meaning that a Wise transaction, (had the money gone through BKK bank) would not have had a 350Baht deduction? Or another reason perhaps? I've always rated rationalfx and am doing some test remittances from UK to the KIngdom to check which is the most favourable.....................
That is correct. No correspondent bank fee with WISE.

I agree my UK bank has one fee for sending money it is £20 no matter the amount, and the BKB charge is max 500 TB, a one off large sum I would defiantly use my UK bank.

Your signature says it all.
Sorry ????
You too appear to have missed the point. But you are 'defiant' about it. ???? Sorry again ????

I used rationalfx (to my knowledge, a similar set up to Wise) to send some money to a Siam Commercial account last week. In the passbook there was no record of any charges, but the net amount shown was different than the net amount amount sent by rationalfx. The recipient went to the bank and the cashier gave them a print out. It showed that the money arrived in the country at Bangkok bank and they had charged 350b and the local Siam branch had charged 100b and there was some other 10b charge.................................
Then it isn't a similar set up.

There are many users on this site that are compelled to start "name calling", "insulting" or "swearing" at others when a thought or opinion is different than their own. I read your other reply to me, and your method is different than mine, but I surely won't verbally attack you for it being different. Sharing information is how cognitive learning works.
Perhaps you are referring to the phrase 'more fool you'. It's a saying:
QuoteMore fool you: means you are showing a lack of judgement
That is a generally accepted definition.
You, by definition, are doing exactly that.
Spreading the wrong information. It's not about opinions; it's about facts. People here do not need erroneous opinions. They need facts.
There was no insult; simply the statement of fact. The fact that you have overreacted somewhat; speaks to your own level of intelligence.
If you want to stay ignorant(by your statement that it is not up for debate) that is up to you. But I will not stand by and allow you to misinform. That's the point here. People ask for/need advice, notwithstanding the erroneous 'opinions'.

Allow me to assist you... I'm talking about the date I last transferred money (which is going to be different) than whatever day you pulled this up. You stick to your method, and I'll stick to mine. And YES, I did in fact look at your precious WISE transfer as a rate comparison on the date of MY transfer. Your precious WISE rate today is no different than what I prefer to use. I also don't like linking my checking account to anything other than BANK to BANK transfers for ANYTHING. $40 USD (pocket change for me) is not included in my transfer calculation, it's my peace of mind and security. It's MY personal preference and not up for debate with you or anyone else, period!
If it is not up for debate, then I suggest that you don't post it as advice! As otherwise there is the possibility that others will think your statements correct and possibly follow your erroneous 'suggestions'.
Once again, the graphs you show there are not related to anything to do with your bank transfer.
Some of us are intelligent enough to note the details. You wrote (BB); which relates to Bangkok Bank. An intelligent person will know there are two main possibilities: Send in Baht(definitely not the "actual daily rate") or sending home currency for the Thai bank to do the exchange.
Since you mentioned Bangkok Bank, their exchange rates are published, under 'TT
Buying Rates', multiple times per day.https://www.bangkokbank.com/en/Personal/Other-Services/View-Rates/Foreign-Exchange-Rates
So those are the rates by which you will be bound....unless it is not a bank to bank transfer.
Better for you to not shout so strongly about your intelligence in this case. As I stated, you will only be convincing others of your erroneous opinions as best.
Now have a pleasant day, as opposed to arguing and still getting it wrong.

It has been reported widely that this is not the case, and in fact it is One meal every 2 Days
Migrant workers are not being tested, and in fact the Health Workers have been barred from the Workers camps. ( read Prisons )
I was going to write much the same thing, but add the word 'stinking'. Plus if what you write is actually true regarding two days, then they are treated even worse than criminals.

The rate(s) I see and use as a comparison aren't much different than those using my method of transfer, so I'm not losing... Simply said, I won't consider 100 baht either way as a loss/gain.
Allow me to assist you:
This is today's rate if your US$25,000 was settled on this day: 32.76
This is WISE's rate today: 32.9300; obtaining 818,194.26 after fees.
Bank transfer 819,000 minus your stated 1817.08 baht in fees, equalling: 817,182.92.
Not a huge difference, but 1000 baht is not 100 baht.

If you think the difference is 100 baht between bank transfers and Wise, then more fool you. You are looking at the wrong rates. Remember this is a thread about a 2,000,000 baht transfer. Not US$500.

You want a Lenovo product????? My 6 month old Lenovo laptop has been back 4 times for repair so far,, the costs of which have exceeded the original purchase price.. When I asked the retailer about the warranty, I received the usual blank stare. I am now collecting empty bottles to cash in to buy myself a nice axe, Im going to make the next repairs myself.
Though I might add that if you have allowed the repairs to be done outside an official service centre, you might have already voided your warranty.

Why would you waste time with the retailer when you can register the warranty directly with Lenovo and get the repairs done under warranty?
I registered my warranty and extended it to 3 years on-site. So I don't even have to leave my home to get it fixed(if necessary). Spent approx.2000 baht on the extension.

Take note of the steps to be taken if you need confirmation of it being a foreign transfer.

I have never seen a specific charge posted in my BB bankbook. I recently transferred 25k USD from Chase Bank in America and received the "actual daily rate" for that day for a fee of $40 USD charged by Chase.
The "actual daily rate" is not the full mid-market rate, unlike the rate used by WISE. So you lose out there. Hard to believe there are still people here that don't seem to know this, after all the information that is posted.

No. You can transfer into any account; however, if you want to have your Thai bank retain the funds in your home currency, then you'd need to transfer into a foreign currency account you already have set up.
Would note (adding or repeating some):
(1) Schwab charges $15.00 for a SWIFT wire transfer to a Thai bank.
(2) Always transfer in your home currency....you'll get the daily bank rate the moment the funds arrive at your Thai bank. From the US, you can choose to transfer in Thai baht but they do the conversion in the US and it's generally a fair amount lower (that's a lot of money if you're transferring a large sum).
(3) Thai banks charge 500 baht to receive the transfer. Some banks (like mine....Siam Commercial Bank) somewhat hide that fee (e.g., it doesn't show up on anything but I know that's the fee). I presume all Thai banks charge the same 500 baht (at least Bangkok Bank does).
(4) I remain dumbfounded as to why people use Wise or any other similar service when generally their fees are much larger than what one's home bank will charge for a SWIFT transfer (typically, a US bank fee for a SWIFT international wire is $40 to $80). And, if the private service sends in Thai baht, you often get a slightly lower rate than what your Thai bank will provide. But, if you don't have a home country bank account from which to transfer the funds, then I suppose you have no choice but to use a private service.

Perhaps you should look at the illustration that I produced earlier. Don't remain in ignorance; otherwise you will only continue to spread it.

Mostly Netflix, through the AIS set-box.
It worked with the old TV..
Okay that is something else. You are confusing the TV as a source with the Set top box as a source.
The idea was to get surround sound from the TV up and running first,; otherwise you are complicating the issue.
Get TV surround sound up and running and then we can look at the set top box.

Well I'm a little bummed. Can't seem to make this work. I can get the AV to work, but not with the surround.
Optical from AIS set-box to AV works, but the set-box box does not seem to have any settings for sound.
Optical from TV to AV works, but no surround
TV does not have earphone jack, so I can't us the RCA ports
TV has pass-through, but it only works with HDMI ARC
Open to suggestions.
If I can't get this going I may start shopping new AV receivers...
I missed this. So you actually get sound, just not surround sound. What source are you using for Surround? DVD Player? TV content?

He isn't going back. There is no gang. I see many of these types now around Pattaya. No income, collecting plastic and sleeping in the bushes.
It seems there are a few here just jumping at the opportunity to Bait and Troll. Sad, but those are some of the kinds of people that inhabit our planet.

I am no fan of BestB.....but most of the comments here are just pathetic.
Common decency tells you to not kick a man when he is down. You can see the quality of the posters shine through, as they see it as the perfect opportunity to get a kick in.
When someone bares their soul; that is not the time to attack. Your parents must be so proud of what they produced...
I would most definitely trust him above most of the anonymous, blameless keyboard warriors posting here. An honest man above people pretending to be as pure as the driven snow.

Pattaya: Immigration go after US man who refused to wear mask at Taco Bell - he's fined and repentant
in Pattaya News

Sorry what is the view with which you disagree? That there were no racist comments or that no one stated that he was arrested or even targeted on video because he was black.
If there is a post that suggests that he was targeted for not wearing a mask because he was black, then quote or link to it. No need to request that someone trawls through a thread to find it. I say it didn't happen and you say it did, so post the evidence.
I posted on the thread, so I am confident in my statement. In fact my post on that thread is the most 'Liked'. You go back and see.
But there were posts calling him a Black 'this and that' that were removed and you know it. But no posts claiming the he was discriminated against by bystanders or anyone involved at the time would need to be removed, so they should still be there. Show me.
