Iconic Walking Street Pattaya Pic Is Now 10 Years Old!
Really nice seeing those two young, friendly ladies showing the confused, elderly man how to use the ATM in Thailand. So thoughtful.

New Champions League format 2024/25
Always strange looking at the huge, new league table. Villa starting well. Barca & Real Madrid mid-table. Milan near the bottom. Early days.

How do you pay?
Saw an article saying Thailand could be cashless by 2028. Don't believe this will happen so soon, but just interested in knowing how most people here pay for things nowadays. Shopping, taxis, apartment etc. Do you use debit cards, Promptpay etc? I personally still believe cash is king and we should always have options.

New PL football season 2024/25 ⚽️
This could be an interesting PL season title chase. 🏆 Hopefully at least 3 teams involved. City, Arsenal & Liverpool. Surely too soon for Chelsea with their defence, but maybe next season. Could Villa surprise? 🤔

3 in 1 coffee
I wonder what Kopi Luwak tastes like? Recently watched the movie, 'The Bucket List' ... yet again.

3 in 1 coffee
Okay, I've now tried a couple of others. Moccona Trio red is okay. Khao Shong Espresso green is okay. ( a little sweet & strangely smokey ) Tbh for about 4 baht a cup they're all okay. Birdy & Nescafe green are fine. Birdy & Nescafe red a little too sweet.

Blind uncle wants to come to Pattaya with us?
Could never go out alone of course. Poor guy will be tripping and falling every 20 yards. Don't leave him alone in a bar too. "Yes, sir. That's a 20 baht note!"

New PL football season 2024/25 ⚽️
Yep, they certainly got the job done in the first half. Luis Diaz knows where the back of the net is, and Darwin's goal was decent. I watched Spurs vs Brentford. Not a bad match.

UK Newspapers, or mags, Sukhumvit.?
2 great options given. Kinokuniya, Emquartier certainly does have many international magazines. Asia Books ground floor Terminal 21 is worth checking out too.

The New Manchester City Thread
Well, It's City vs Arsenal on Sunday. Gonna be a cagey, chess match affair. City to have more possession. Arsenal to miss Odegaard more than City will miss KDB. Prediction: Man City 1 Arsenal 0.

New Champions League format 2024/25
What do you think about the new format? 36 team league table. Even more games. Who are your favourites to lift the trophy? Usual suspects: Real Madrid, Barca, Bayern, Man City.

3 in 1 coffee
That Kopiko Macchiato coffee looks a little too sweet. 11 gms of sugar . That's almost 3 teaspoons. 5/7 gms is more like it for me.

3 in 1 coffee
Okay, gonna give Moccona a try. Guessing it's better than Essenso.
-
3 in 1 coffee
This is only about 3 in 1 instant coffees. (I understand it's not the best choice.) I've tried Nescafe & Birdy (red & green.) They're okay. Gonna have to give Essenso a go, but why is it more expensive?

What's the Longest Snake You've Seen, while Waltzing along City Streets in Thailand?
I've seen a number in BK over the years. Nothing big, just beautiful green ones that come up out of the drains in rainy season or out of a garden with trees. Sadly a few dead ones by the side of the road after being hit by a bike or car.

Sending a doc to UK from Thailand
I think this could be my best option. My sister can forward by Royal Mail.

Sending a doc to UK from Thailand
I just received an email reply from Thailand Post at Laksi and they said "they cannot deliver mail to a GB PO Box no" Interesting comments above saying EMS post will be given to Royal Mail, but how can I be sure.

Sending a doc to UK from Thailand
I've read that DHL, FedEx & UPS won't or can't send to a PO Box. Can EMS or regular Thailand Post?

Sending a doc to UK from Thailand
Thanks for the reply. It just concerns me that there is no street address. Not sure if EMS could send to a PO Box.

Sending a doc to UK from Thailand
I have to send a doc to UK, but I only have ... Name of Company, PO Box no 709, town name, Post code, UK. Will I be able to send by Thailand Post or EMS? I know this was asked a few years ago, but anyone had recent experience or advice. I've sent the company an e-mail and I know I could try to call and ask for a full address.

Calling UK from Thailand
Thanks for the replies and advice. In the end I visited my good friend's office in Bangkok as he said I could use his landline. Probably a good idea as I reached the help desk first. Dial 3 for .... followed by ... enter dob, enter NI (numbers only) enter your reference no, and now enter your post code. I actually got through straight away at 09:05 UK time & the call lasted 15 mins, but could have been a problem with my mobile. Spoke to a pleasant Indian guy.
