  1. They're Bluescope franchised stores, specifically created by Bluescope to serve as a public facing store-front for their products. Bluescope is not business of making (roller-forming) or selling roofs. They process and coat "raw" metal sheet and then sell it in huge rolls to roller-forming shops whose business is to deal with end customers. The Bluescope-franchised shop is the closest you can get to the manufacturer.
  2. An example of Bluescope Zacs product name print on the inner side of flashings:
  3. All of your material length is covered with foam? How about roof ends? The foam layer should stop at least 20 cm from roof's drip edges. And how about flashings? The are normally made from the same material.
  4. Every Bluescope franchised store sources its material directly from the Bluescope-owned coating factory.
  5. I think the manufacturer of ST-40-760PU specifically states in their product description that the material used is Bluescope, but I could be wrong. And If ST-40-760PU is not made out of Bluescope then what's the point of buying an "inferior" product if it's made out of a main material of unknown origin without a warranty??? While there are many Bluescope franchised stores positioned all over the country offering the real deal backed by a warranty?
  6. ST-40-760PU is the model number of their product - it has nothing to do with Bluescope's product designation.
  7. Can you elaborate more on your material thickness and also exact material? @Encid plans on getting Bluescope (I'd assume Colorbond) and if you've gotten the same material then it should carry warranty. Did you get Bluescope Colorbond branded steel (the logo stamped on the underneath) or some other Chinese or Korean metal sheet? It's not clear from your post what you mean by saying that your supplier has stated that there's no guarantee for your metal as it would be the case with Colorbond. Does it imply that your material is not sourced from Bluescope? Bluescope produced coated metal sheet comes in two versions: Colorbond and Zacs. Colorbond is warranted for 30 years and Zacs for 10-12. Both come in a variety of thicknesses, e.g. Zacs:
  8. On the attached label or in firmware settings?
  9. I should have asked them for the same thing during my install. Couldn't anticipate a potential problem later on about router substitution.
  10. Thank you. If there's no change with my current ISP then I'll switch to another provider that offers a specific BYOD service.
  11. That would be nice to have that info but we haven't received any setup credentials during the service setup. It was the tech who brought and then installed the ONT and router. And that was it.
  12. That was my expectation but to my surprise they've refused to share my PPPoE credentials. I wonder if it's just the local office problem as in them being clueless. I think I might need to go up the chain to verify.
  13. At the local office they've refused to disclose my PPPoE username and password.
  14. The ONT and router are in separate boxes. I want to get rid of the ISP provided, bare-bone router and replace it with a separately purchased, fully featured unit that allows wifi separation etc.
  15. My router's serial number didn't work as a user login. Their customized firmware has the bridge option removed. Did your ISP offer a replacement router free of charge?
  16. We have a pretty good fiber service around here, where ISPs provide both ONT boxes and routers as a package. I wanted to upgrade to a better router box by buying my own. To my surprise my local ISP office responded with "can not due that". My understanding is that I can not just connect my own router to the existing ONT box and get service since it is been preset with a login. Any experience on setting your own router? Thank you
  17. 3 wires plus another one on the opposite side. We also have non-solar street lights attached to some poles.
  18. It could also be a case of changing their mind on the initial design after the plan and its budget has been finalized, which is super common in residential construction.
  19. OK. I see 3 vertically arranged wires, the top one - uninsulated.
  20. And he's entitled to his opinion.... Gutters are optional in the areas of very low precipitation. Was he specifically referred to those areas?
  21. As seen on high voltage lines? Consumer voltage poles around here have 3 wires positioned at the same height:
  22. Is there an easy way to identify the local system by looking at utility poles?
  23. I don't really remember details on the first two. Just remember that it wasn't cheap since I'm located a good few hours away from the shop. And it would definitely be even much more expensive if ordering from Bangkok. The first two were re-roofs that's why I was aware of details at the time. The third one was done on a new build by the builder - not much of costs visibility there. I'll have another mini-project coming up where I plan to install a PU insulated roof on a carport and also use the same material for walls of the built-in storage shed. That material will be sourced from a local non-franchisee that sells PU insulated non-Bluescope metal. I expect free delivery.
