I am off to Savannakhet on Mon to do the same as you, get the 90 non o type immi visa ( not an extension), Below is a screen shot from another poster who did this on 12th Jan at Savannakhet. The text at the bottom reads that the 400k did not need seasoning,just had to be in the bank on day of application. When I get back Wed/Thurs I will post a quick update if there are any new requirements for this visa.

There is a ticket booth in Mor Chit on its own ,,, decent buses to Korat and not very busy... used them a few times ... no complaints about the service...

Go onto onwardticket.com , you can get them there. Prices start at about $12 (non refundable) but it gives a confirmed booking that can be checked with the airline for anyone who wants to look into the booking. But be aware some will only hold for 48 hours. But you will get a confirmation email from the airline and you can download a genuine ticket for attaching to your e visa application. If you do a google search for onward tickets there are quite a few companies doing them.. Hope this helps.

I am going to Savannakhet next week to get a non imm o type multi entry visa based on marriage, I have the 400k in a Thai bank, but it has only been there for a couple of weeks... I thought it only had to be seasoned if you were getting an extension.. not the original non o ... or am I missing something here....

Thanks guy's for the replies, I will probably go down the multiple entry non o (marriage) route. I will check out the paperwork needed for this. Is this available in 1 visit to Savannakhet or is it an overnight then pick up the next day job...

9th Feb, I know this will probably be long enough for me before I am off to work. But the reason I want the marriage extension is because I will be in and out of Thailand due to work, and to save grief on future visits throughout the year, if i can get the visa then I could just get a multiple entry permit and problem solved...

I perhaps should have mentioned I will be due to go back to work on or around 4/5 of Feb (my bad).

Hello, I am a UK citizen and entered Thailand on the 30 day visa on arrival, I have just extended it for another 30 days. My question is would I be able to obtain an extension by marriage at Savannakhet. I was unable to enter on any other type of visa due to conditions at work ( no internet). If I can get the visa, do I have to provide all the usual paperwork eg, photos, google maps, new kor raw 2, bank statements etc. I have the required 400k in the bank, but it is NOT seasoned. If anyone could help me out on this issue I would be very grateful, also any hints or tips for getting a visa at Savannakhet, like nearby hotels, best times to go etc. Many thanks in advance.

I always take colour... they might then tell you black and white is OK for next time...but just to be on the safe side and not waste a journey for a few extra baht I would just take colour ones... they can be very picky there on a bad day...( or a good day)...

If you look at the video you can also see the motor bike rider lift his left hand off of the handlebars ... looks like he was waving to someone when he should have been checking all around him... and that taxi looked to be going very rapidly.... two eejits trying to occupy the same bit of road at the same time..... and this is the result... oh well

Hello All, Sorry for hijacking the thread but I am entering Thailand on a 30 day visa exempt (UK citizen) and want to sort out my marriage visa at Savannakhet but I have a couple of questions that I would be grateful if somebody could help me with.. 1... 400k has only in Thai bank for 1 month 2... I only have the 30 day visa I entered Thailand on ( could not get 90 day non o as I was away working and had no internet) I have had the non o marriage extension for the last 8 years but it expired in June. Given the two points above does anyone out there think I will still be able to get a 1 year multi entry visa or will immigration refuse me.... Many thanks in advance....
