  1. So you have WFTP visa without work permit? Is that even allowed? I thought if you will be working from Thailand it is required.
  2. Well for private company it's clear that you have to provide something. But for companies listed on stock markets financial details are publicly available. It is very nice that your company provided that though. Are you still waiting for approval? Can you please share details later what is required for the work permit application?
  3. Have someone applied for the Work-from-Thailand-Professional category? What documents are needed if the company is publicly listed on the stock market - do we still need to provide something for "Audited corporate’s annual financial statement or financial report" or that is not required? By the way the topic of this post is incorrect. It should be Long Term Resident Visa and not Retirement. It would be nice if moderators can change it because it is misleading.
  4. You will get departed stamp in your passport when you pass immigration at the airport. If you pass before midnight you will not have an overstay.
  5. As far as I know the home isolation was allowed only on some places (e.g. Bangkok) only because there were not enough beds in hospitals. It wasn't your choice if you can do it or not. Secondly, there was always double standard and foreigners were treated differently than Thais. I had friend who was taken into hospital in January this year. I just hope this ended by now.
  6. Do you have some source for this? I was in Thailand in the beginning of this year and it was definitely required back then.
  7. If you want official explanation just contact your embassy. Otherwise you better upload stamps from the longer period as I have suggested.
  8. Does it mean that when someone has Covid in Thailand they will no longer lock him up in a hospital?
  9. My understanding is that they would like to see stamps in your passport for the past 12 months prior to last international trip. Let's say the last trip was in May 2022, past 12 months would be all stamps since May 2021. It is better to upload more than less I would say.
  10. Boarding pass you usually get after check-in, which sometimes you can do online or at the airport. You should get a flight ticket with booking number which is required to check-in.
  11. In one field of the application you have to provide all stamps from the passport from past 12 months. They will clearly see that the applicant is currently in Thailand (or a different country than home country). It is not clear to me how they get the application approved if they provide all the stamps as asked. If they lie in the application they could be banned for future entries.
  12. As far as I know the new visa are not finalised yet. The conditions will be clear once it is published in the Royal Gazette. I think it is expected end of July. Until then it would be just a speculation to talk about this visa.
  13. My guess is if they extend the scheme again you will be able to make an extension. If they don't extend you won't be. But it is just a guess and of course you never know here.
  14. No I don't have a source for this. I was only reading about it as well as you. Maybe I am wrong. What did you set as a "Permanent residency / current location" in your application when you were in Thailand? Because I think based on that they assign the application to specific embassy for processing. Did you set there your home country while in Thailand?
  15. Sorry if that looks like that. I am OK just outside of Thailand atm ???? It is not there now, it was there last year in June/July. If you want to double check I would suggest to ask your embassy before applying for STV.
  16. What did you set as your location in the application? Which visa did you apply for?
  17. Why I think so? Because it is not allowed to apply for a visa while in Thailand and for some visa types (including STV) you are only allowed to apply in your home country. They can easily check your IP when you use the website and also based on the location you fill in they assign it to specific embassy. I am not sure which embassy will process your application when you choose "Location: Thailand".
  18. I am not sure why you are starting a second topic since I already replied to this in your first one. STV is a special visa and you will not be able to make an extension, unless they extend the scheme again. This was shown on my local Thai embassy website last year:
  19. I doubt it will work. Also it does not make sense to apply for STV now. You would get entry only until 30th of September.
  20. What you have suggested are good alternatives if you cannot have these new LTR visa. But in no way they are better if you can get them. That was my point. If you think they are somehow better I wanted to know why you think so. And marriage extension I ignored because you cannot have that if you are single and don't plan to marry, can you?
  21. There will be 4 groups of people which can apply for this visa. One group is high-income earners. That group definitely must have $80,000 income for the years prior to applying. If you will be applying as a high-income earner you will need that income. $100k in bank account will not be enough.
  22. Yes, I think health insurance is very useful actually. It depends on which insurance company you have and how much is the deductible. From what I was checking it is starting at $1000 for one year with about $250 deductible. It depends of course on the insurance company. Some are more expensive. There should be 4 groups of people who could use the new LTR visa. I think the 80K USD per year is condition just for one group (not all of them). Regarding taxes that is completely different subject. If I remember correctly they were saying that the income from abroad won't be taxed in Thailand (0% taxed). But we will need to wait until it is published in the Royal Gazette and all the conditions are clear.
  23. Excuse me, I don't want anything for free. This discussion is about the new LTR visa for 10 years which I think looks very good on paper if they make the conditions reasonable. You were saying that Elite is better option? Sorry but that is just nonsense. Elite might be better option only if you cannot get these new LTR visa. And even in that case I would rather go with education visa than Elite visa. What are the benefits of the Elite? I haven't heard anything useful. VIP lane at the airport? Thanks, I'll pass on that. Health insurance is not for nothing, if you don't have useless insurance company. And mandatory insurance is just for 10 months. You can get that for about $1000. How much is the Elite visa for 10 years?
  24. Seems you haven't read the full post from BritManToo and me. BitManToo was complaining about bad conditions for this visa because of health insurance. How is Elite Visa better? It is the worst options of all, just pay <deleted>load of money for nothing. Here you need to pay health insurance just for 1 year and you will get benefits from it if something happen to you. ED visa I am mentioning in my post. You have to seriously learn Thai and you need to pay for school, extensions and pass the testing. That alone will cost a lot of money and effort. Again, how is it better than this visa? And with ED visa for Muay Thai you cannot stay long term. I won't even consider that. Marriage extension? ????
  25. What are better alternatives if you are under 50 and cannot use retirement visa? I am seriously interested because I would like to relocate to Thailand and from what I have seen there are not a good options at all. METV is currently suspended in my country and that would only make 9 months with too much hassle with border runs every few months. Other possible option is education visa where you seriously have to learn Thai and you need to pay for school, extensions and pass the testing.
