Lets wait for response from other countries who also could offer similar visas and what their requirements will be, Thais may soften requirements after they see that this simply doesnt work out.

When i read all posts before this news, half of folks here was blaming Thai government for ruining economy for not opening for foreign tourists when they saw that most of 100k will be chinese they changed opinion, most of people which i will not mention are claiming that this is bad move, so i believe many are politicians here i believe in those moments they would be best choice to lead Thailand through recession and Covid-19 era. ????????????

After dual pricing now foreigners will go to jail if they leave bad review of hotel online? Wow great way to promote Tourism welcome to land of fake smiles where you cannot do anythung except spending your money and f*** off back to your country, what will happen in next year is Thailand will beg for tourists to come back but nobody aint coming back than Thailand can make dual pricing for their own citizens and send them to jail over a bad review. And btw we will see hiw many visitors will actually wanted to visit that same hotel after make this drama or show on all domestic and foffshore news, they dig a hole themselve now they just have to jump in it.

So actually what you offering to so called tourists? 14 day quarantine? I would really love to pay few thousand euros just to come see beautiful Thailand hotels and 14 day Quarantine spend... Thanks

It was an unexpected finding and the takeaway isn't about dengue per se. The authors emphasized the potential “immunological cross-reactivity” between DENV serotypes (dengue antibodies) and SARS-CoV-2. The benefit may have been from a prior dengue infection or a dengue vaccine. The takeaway is that other vaccines might be useful until such time as a SARS Cov-2 specific vaccine was available. It was also suggested that the yellow fever and zika virus vaccines might offer a similar benefit.
My interpretation: Vaccines can and do help. They can sometimes offer unexpected benefits.
More study is required.
Ofcourse just put the all Vaccines into the body one of 10 might be useful but 9 from 10 will ruin your immune system or even worse. Thats why for example people who are taking Flu Vaccine and they didnt had bigger problems before if next year they dont take the vaccine if they get sick from ordinary influenza it tend to be much harsher symptoms and longer ecovery, so is vaccine working yes in 50% of cases until you repeating shots every year, however if you stop taking it it makes you much worse, that the Vaccine for dengue helps against Covid-19? Is a BS

I think most of people who would want return they could make some kind of a deal with their embassy, i am sure of that my friend was in similar situation and they actually managed to make agreement for monthly installments for airplane ticket to return home, so yes foreigner on short term visas had plenty of time to organise with their embassies returning to home country thats why in the first place embassies will not give more than 1 letter for 1 extension, everybody who want go back can go back. Excuses like i dont want go back my country because of too many covid cases and there is no flights is lame excuse for those who cannot make longterm visas, so now half of pwople here are blaming thai government for not give another amnesty just abusing the system.

Definetely would be better for Thailand for give extensions 1900thb every month for people who are still here and cannot go back, i got letter from consulate that i will get only one time and what after??

Because is easier for Chinese to come to Thailand, if you look around USA, Europe, Australia all of them need longhaul flights while for China this isnt the case.

Under the Anglo-Thai peace treaty signed in 1946, they are not allowed to build a canal without permission from the British Government....along with the fact it would offer the resurgents in the South advantages, it isn't going to happen...
Hong Kong was also given under the treaty until 2047, Chinese dont respect any treaty and they will sure not respect above mentioned also, they will force out this canal one way or another.

Ofcourse zero cases is more important than 10 million potential unemployed people. Follow Xi Jinping nothing new for a quiet few times, just take the Chinese vaccine when they make. And please Thai government stop making excuses because you if you would really believed that Phuket model would work you would apply it, you realized that nobody is stupid enough to be 2 weeks in quarantine pay 5k euro for return ticket and 30k+ thb for quarantine room. Stop lying to yourself.

Actually the government thought that tourism is neverending income of money, they became even more strict on foreigners, many rules they changed, the numbers were starting to drop even before Covid-19 they didnt do anything to fined solution they were counting on hordes and masses of Chinese and Indians to saving their tourism sector.
Now Chinese are making large pool parties in Wuhan spitting into the face of rest of the world.
The prices on Real estate, hotel businesses significantly dropped i expect before 2030 that it will not be Thailand anymore but Chiland, and all money will go back to mother China only peanuts like taxes will stay to the government.

91% of Thai people, really? Is this 91% of the rich elite or 91% of those who lost their jobs and dont have for eat? Thats why so many people are saying that they are hungry yet they will export the rice right? Is important that the rich elite gets richer

So looking at the latest figures, would you call having 6090 new cases in one day "within manageable limits" and an acceptable level for your healthcare resources?
Would you call a total of more than 5,000,000 (5 million) "within manageable limits" and an acceptable level for your healthcare resources?
And just to wander slightly off topic, from the BBC News:-
"The postponement of tens of thousands of hospital procedures is putting the lives of people with long-term heart conditions at risk, according to the British Heart Foundation. The coronavirus pandemic has created a backlog which would only get larger as patients waited for care, it said."
(The UK has had 308,413 cases, and 46,413 deaths, which is why I say that similarly to the USA, it IS NOT under control, it IS NOT "within manageable limits" and IS NOT "within an acceptable level for their health resources", hence the number of operations/procedures that have been put "on the back burner" as a result.)
I m sorry my friend, but if you go to Croatia to holidays people are relaxed, they follow the protocols and yes the Pandemic is so far under control, the same situation is in Slovenia, same they guy above said under control means you dont break hospital capacity. What is happening in India, Brazil, USA i dont know but i dont believe China numbers either, most of football leagues in Europe they managed to bring to an end, sport, economy, resumed which is most important.

We will see the numbers when your pleasant Chinese hordes are let back in. And yes if you look European countries they opened borders inside the EU Schengen zone they saved alot of jobs especially in Tourism sector. And as you can see Italy, Germany, France the countries with population similar as Thailand have runned economy and have 1-2 deaths per day reported so you want to say everyone is social distancing in Euroe now? I see a lot of tourists travelling all around Europe. So Yinn your country is already preparing measures to let big Chinese numbers back in and than you will see the real picture.

So the people who are working in Thailand, are married in Thailand, living as retirees in Thailand will have to go 14 days quarantine, and have insurance covering 100.000$, while Chinese hordes will go as tourists with probably one PCR test before departure from China and one before e tering China well done Thailand, it is obvious that the government is in real trouble, the economy is in big trouble, you dont do that if you are not desperate.

Desperation for cash flow at all costs.
Flight prices will never return to pre Covid, maybe a good thing.
This travelling halway around the world for a 10 day holiday is not helping our planet
Easily could say same for cars most of people use their car for 100m trip. It is not the 10 day traveling around half world but is mentality of humans.

Only Communist regime supporters can believe the numbers from CCP they are masters for covering numbers since day 1 of outbreak, the less Chinese i see in my country the better, as far as Thailand is concerned they will blame on foreigners all cases but Chinese will never guilty nobody blame them for bring Covid-19 to Thailand but "dirty foreigners" were blamed for that.

Nothing new in Thailand, the rich people get away with everything.

People are arguing about who manipuletes who in the end the 1% are manipulate the 99% of us. The Wolf of Wall street was good insight about whats happening all around the world and is no secret that in every country in the world the 1% of elite are controlling everything. If you are rich and smart take it, if you are not can complain all lifetime nothing will change who made CCP to be a member of WTO is known who. Everyone can blame Trump but guess what even if Biden wins what will change? Nothing the game will go on.
