He is a local man in Palm Pattana sub-district of Satun, southern Thailand. It's a wildlife preservation area and relatives are very concerned after Chaiwat had been missing for a week. Sawitri, the missing man's daughter, said her father knows his way around the area but he has health problems associated with the elderly such as diabetes and high blood pressure. He had gone foraging with a friend but they became separated. The friend had called out to no avail then left the mountain and told relatives. Of concern is that the missing man had complained of headaches to his wife before he went missing. Thirteen killed, over 30 injured, in fire at pub in Chon Buri province. Thirteen people – 9 men and 4 women – died and more than 30 were injured in a blaze in a pub in Sattahip district of Thailand’s eastern coastal province of Chon Buri early this morning (Friday). Rescue workers said that there were about 100 customers in the pub at the time of the fire, at about 1am, and most of the dead were found in the toilets and at the entrance to the Mountain B pub, adding that the entrance was also used as the exit. Police, rescue workers and about 20 fire trucks rushed to the pub, which is located in a single-storey building on a half hectare plot on the Bang Na- Trat highway in Phlu Ta Luang sub-district. A rescue worker said that it was difficult for the workers to enter the premises because there is only one way in and out, adding that there was a great deal of flammable material inside the venue. Sanook Thai Caption: Enough of the hijinks already - stop this Sanook reported on a Facebook post video that showed around ten young people fighting with guns in Bang Bua Thong, Nonthaburi. Reporters went to Tessaban Soi 7 (Soi Phat Thai) in Son Loi sub-district where the violence occurred among teens who arrived on motorcycles, three to each bike. They had been armed with guns and knives. They attacked people from a rival group in a house. One 15 year old was shot in the right cheek and taken to hospital. It happened on Wednesday at 4.45 pm. A witness reported being in a beauty salon around 4 pm when the rival group arrived on 2-3 bikes. After an initial conversation a plant pot was grabbed and a shot rang out. Police didn't arrive until an hour later. The witness said it was a frightening incident, there were many young people in the salon. The owner of the house said that young people had gathered there before going home before the other armed group arrived. They said it was the work of a pervert. They were shown around the campus accommodation by thirty year old "Tom", an assumed name, the husband of the teacher who said he found the device while cleaning the bathroom. He said that his wife moved in three months ago and he found the camera on July 27th. He initially spotted something strange and thought it was a spider's web. After some spraying and use of a broom handle he discovered a tiny camera without memory function attached to a battery. He believed it was used by someone to view his wife while she was showering. They reported the matter to the Wichianburi police but there had been no developments. Different rooms were connected by an overhead crawl space, he said. His wife was very scared and they installed eight CCTV cameras to keep watch. The director and admin of the college were not available but reporters managed to speak to the director on the phone. The director said they had been in charge for 17 years and nothing like this had ever happened. CCTV was all over the campus and it was unlikely that an outsider had come in. In addition the teacher's property was always locked up when she wasn't there. The director said they had set up a committee to investigate. Tax had not been paid on 1,400 bottles of alcohol. The first raid was at a two story house in Viphavadee Soi 22 3/1 in Chatuchak. The downstairs area of the house was used to store 1,200 bottles of liquor and wine. At the property were Wichupha and Apichet, both 32 years old. Also raided was a condo in Lad Prao Soi 94 in the Wang Thong Lang area where a further 200 bottles were being stored. Picture: Thai Rath Police said they conducted a sting after becoming aware of sales through www.siamliq.com. No tax had been paid on the liquor. Some had excise stamps, some didn't. The suspects said that they had been selling via the LINE app getting income of 400,000 to 500,000 baht a month. Checks are being made on the alcohol to determine if it is real or just non-taxed. The police said consuming such liquor is highly dangerous. Wichupha was the manageress and owner and Apichet was a deliveryman. The value of the booze was 2 million baht. The suspects have been charged with possession and selling bootleg liquor and other related offences. The deceased was the daughter of one of the drivers. Sangkha police and rescue services arrived at the Ban Lert Arun crossroads on the Sangkha to Surin Road where they found a Toyota Vigo pick-up with its front smashed in and nearby off the road an almost completely destroyed Mitsubishi car. Somjit, 43, from Surin, driving the Toyota, was taken to Surin Hospital with chest and head injuries. Two people from Surin had to be cut out of the Mitsubishi. The driver was Suphaporn, 54, who was seriously injured and was taken to Sangkha hospital then transferred to Surin Hospital. Beside her in the front passenger seat was 19 year old Suphatra, the driver's daughter. She was deceased. The media said that the accident happened in rainy and slippery conditions. Picture: Thai Rath Thai Rath reported at 1 am this morning on a devastating fire in a nightclub in Sattahip, Chonburi, central/eastern Thailand that left 13 dead and around 20 severly injured. A survivor reported seeing fire in a ceiling at Mountain B before multiple explosions were heard. Many died instantly and were consumed in the fire. Others who managed to get out were left with horrific burns. A short circuit may have been responsible. Police captain Bunsong Yingyong was the first to respond along with Phlu Ta Luang police chief Pol Col Wuthipong Somjai and the acting district chief. Picture: Daily News Twenty fire engines and firefighters and rescue services raced to the Mountain B club, a one story facility with a glass frontage on Sukhumvit -Bang Na - Trad Road. It is on three rai of land, reported Daily News. Utter chaos greeted rescuers with around twenty people with horrific blisters and burns, screaming in agony who managed to escape the inferno. 13 injured men and 8 women were given first aid at the scene before being rushed to the Queen Sirikit Naval Hospital. Thai Rath said that tackling the fire was complicated as it was fueled by sound absorbing insulation foam. It took two hours before the blaze was brought under control. The authorities sealed off the building. Inside thirteen charred bodies were found - 9 men and four women. Who they were is yet to be determined. Soon after there were many explosions one after another. Many died immediately in the explosions, he claimed, and would have been subsequently burned in the fire. After some considerable time he was loaded into a police pick-up and taken to the Muang Pattaya police station where some clothes were found to make him more respectable. Police have no idea as to his name or nationality and are appealing for help from someone who might know him to come forward. Mental health issues are suspected.
