  1. Europe reduced their wave due in part closing down their economies.

India had a lockdown for a few weeks back in March then opened back up. Everything is fully open there.

Also why the European and American may have their 'we have rights brigrade' - India is just total chaos with no public health service.

Is there anything they are implementing that other countries could learn from ?

  2. The UK have fudged the books a tad by eliminating anyone passing away from Covid after 28 days. Yet the question remains, why are they still suffering from such catastrophic numbers?

Even in the first wave, they suffered badly. Now onto the second wave, compared to many countries with equal covid numbers, they are still seeing masses dying.

What on earth is going on here?

How on earth have these Asian countries like Singapore, or Arab countries like UAE managed to have such small numbers of deaths despite huge covid infections per 100,000 people?

  3. What's going on in India ? Few months ago they were hitting nearly 100,000 cases a day. Figures have now dropped by nearly 50%.

Testing is very high - so it can't be a case of saying they just aren't testing. They have really ramped up the testing.

How on earth have they achieved this? Anyone whose been to India knows how awful and chaotic the countries health care system is.

Presently there rates per 100,000 are now lower than most European countries.

Yet again another dingbat conveniently disregarding the 13% rise in the Baht over the last 5 years.

Which means a fall in the Pound will be even worst.

Do you ackowledge that the vote caused a 20% fall in the value of the pound? If you are denial by this FACT then there is no hope to even have a conversation.

Then all major forecasters are saying the Pound will collapse another 20% (minimum) - even a forced collapase to keep exports competative.

And you are okay with this ?

eventually, everyone will copy sweden and move on

as it was a year ago, but its bitter and humiliating

for politicians around the world to admit they committed high treason on their own country, so its going to take quite some time yet

SWEDEN - needleslyy killed more people than it's neighbouring countries like Norway, Denmark by a country mile.

SWEDEN - one of the highest death rates in the world.

SWEDEN - whose economy is wrecked, a fall of GDP by 10% on par with the worst hit countries because people are too afraid too come out and low consumer confidence.

SWEDEN - who has one big city with a population of 900,000 but a huge land mass. Compared to London with a population close to 10 million.

SWEDEN - who government has massive low approval ratings and have no chance of staying in power.

SWEDEN - where it is estimated only 25% of their population have the virus and thus no herd immunity.

SWEDEN - who believed in herd immunity, but the WHO are now saying immunity may only last 6 months to a year. Will Sweden repeat the herd immunity concept next year?

SWEDEN - who closed down schools, shut down bars, and many shops voluntarily closed as people were not coming.

    DON'T BE LIKE SWEDEN.

I love these financial experts. I had somebody telling me the pound would be worth half what it is today...

    Still waiting.....

Moodys and the Bank of England are predicting a 20% fall in the Pound if there is a no deal Brexit.

I was getting 55 Baht to the pound weeks before Brexit. I am lucky if i get 40 now. That's more than 20% fall.

Another 20% and you are looking at 30 Baht to the pound. But hey those fish !

  7. You have 3 types of people involved in the Brexit debate

    1) Those that are hardcore racist and xenophobe. For them Brexit was keeping foreigners out, they had little understanding of anything else.

    2) The pretend interlectual folk, who claimed it was for economic reasons but in reality it was because they hated foreigners.

    3) Those who love fish. And are prepared to wreck the economy for the love of fish.

Hey, you don't understand, Brexit is NOT about buying a house and letting the previous owners carry on using the shed....It is about our land, waters, laws etc ruled by ourselves.

If you are the type that buckles, that is up to you chap..

But if you are renting that shed out - so you can get some extra money so you can take a few trips to Thailand a year then you go do that.

Otherwise you have an empty shed. Because as soon as we have tarrifs on that fish, we aren't exporting them to the EU anymore.

    You must really love fish.

It isn't about fish, it is about OUR WATERS..........????

What do you do in these waters? GET THE HELL OUT OF TOWN. We're not talking a coastline that resembles the Maldives, it's a dump.

You have a coastline. You go sunbathe. You may get on a paddle boat and go 100 meters out in the horrendous windy coastline we have.

It's always THE PRINCIPLE isn't it. "THAT CRAPPPY POLLUTED SEA IS OURS AND ALL THE NETS AND PLASTIC IN IT BELONG TO US, DOWN WITH HITLER" nonsense they now spout (ironny being when they march they love to do the nazi salute). But oh we will lose Northern Ireland - YA KNOW THAT LITTLE LAND MASS.

Oh you want the fish that make up 0.05% of our economy, and you want to sell it back to the EU, that will ironcially have tariffs placed on them - meaning we will wreck our tiny fishing industry.

Not only that we wreck our economy. But oh we'll have cute little fish.

  10. MAC makeup makes up more of economy than bloody fish.

Worst still the little fish we catch in the UK, we ship to Europe anyways.

Fish make up 0.05% of our economy.

Get the hell out of town with this nonsense.

As for state subsidies - it's almost laughable. The UK government over the course of the last 50 years has been one of the lowest state subsidised countries in the world. Compared to Germany or France the UK subsidises companies about 60% less. Again, it's a completely bizarre notion.

Rishi Sunak, the UK chancellor, said him sitting in a office was no way he could delegate which companies to subsidise. Yet we are meant to believe Dominic Cummings has a plan to subsidize robotos, etc - GET THE HELL OUT OF TOWN.

Supposed trade deal with the US will be over if Biden wins - especially if we break the Ireland deal.

If we break the agreement we signed up for Northern Ireland we are even more screwed with the US and EU.

These xenophobes should be happy they have cut out of free movement. Now they are obsessed with fish. They won't stop till the whole economy has collapsed and we turn in to Khemer Rouge Cambodia, attempting to grow our own crops and become self sufficient.

    Ridiculous.

I sit with these immigrants in Thailand who feel they are shielded from any hurt. Yet the UK Pound will fall close to 20% more if there is no deal. Ridiculous !!!!

I still see no upsides to all this madness. Granted we have stopped immigration, and i'd say to at least 95% of those who voted Brexit that was the main issue. Now we got that. Now what - what do we hope to achieve?
