It would be interesting to calculate the economic cost of traffic accidents over 1 year in Thailand. The powers that be probably don't care. The infamous, Intrinsically corrupt and lazy police are partly responsible for not enforcing the road laws on a continuous basis, especially when it comes to motorcyclists who ride their bikes like headless chickens.

Who are they kidding? An air marshall, In a pickup, seven years later!!! Come on! Why now, anyway? What about the conclusions of the investigators at the time? This would be laughable if it weren't so tragic. They are really making it worse: a typical TIT circus!

The two witnesses are probably bogus. First, where were they all this time et why do they show up now? How come nobody else saw that the cop swerved suddenly in front of the car and what about the speed discrepancy : from 170 to 70km/h? They are really taking the Thai people for morons!  That panel is just for show. One can only hope the Thai people won't let go.

Simply disgusting but not surprising in a country where corruption is embedded in the social fabric.

What a shame that a government headed by a general is not able to do what it takes to reduce the number of road victims: it says a lot about its dedication and its capacity to have laws enforced, except against those who dare criticize it. Everyday enforcement is all it would take, with hefty fines, prison terms and confiscation of vehicles on the spot: if systematically applied, these measures would go a long way but of course you would need a clean, efficient and responsible police force. 
Why did general Happiness give up on reforming the police? What was he afraid of?

Anything will do to re-elect the red-toupeed conman, even turning to external powers. The GOP has become a cesspool of traitors.  However, what goes around always comes around, sooner or later, in one form or another. 

One can only feel sorry for this poor handicapped man but one cannot help wondering how he could fall for such a scam! On the other hand, when one see how many love scams are perpetrated by Nigerians (with the help of locals) in this country and the amount of money naive Thai women send to their “boyfriends” one stops wondering.
