Crash Claims Life of 68-Year-Old Woman in Chachoengsao
Briggsy replied to Georgealbert's topic in Central Thailand News
The video is not very clear but I am not seeing any sort of helmet there but perhaps there is a face mask. Sadly, that did not save her life. Quite extraordinary careless driving. I wonder if she was completely zoned out. -
Fight breaks out after Thai woman leaves 2 husbands for foreigner
Briggsy replied to snoop1130's topic in Isaan News
Stereotypical state of affairs even though there's many who don't want to believe it is the case. "You don't lose your girl, you just lose your place." -
I need to see an orthopaedic doctor due to persistent undiagnosed pain in one of my knees. No previous problems I would prefer Sri Racha but am happy to use Pattaya or even Bangkok if you think it is worth the trip. I previously used Phaya Thai Sri Racha for an unrelated issue. They may still have me on their records. I can post symptoms if you wish. I have prepared a simple document listing them for the doctor. Can you recommend anywhere and suggest what tests may be conducted to diagnose the problem. Thanks.

Motorcyclist Killed in Crash at Phuket's Notorious 'Danger Curve'

Another Darwin moment. Going into the corner at that speed was very poor decision making. Perhaps he had been drinking. Certainly overestimated his ability. I have owned the ADV 350. It handles absolutely fine. This is probably the 160 but same applies. It has better suspension than the PCX and Forza. The issue was not the bike, it was primarily the speed but also the line taken into the corner. You can add no helmet, jacket or even long trousers to that! -
Assuming the urine test is for amphetamines, that is a particularly high positive rate. Is it a cultural thing? i.e. Are amphetamines very popular with Chinese clubbers? In addition, I don't fully understand the link between violence between security and patrons and drug testing. Or is that just standard MO - raid the club and pee test everybody? I like the line about the patrons being oblivious to the raid. The Chinese do have a tendency to completely ignore anything outside of their language and culture as not relevant to them. But in this case, it was, certainly for 39 individuals.

Tell us about your decision to choose specifically Koh Samui. I am sure many can advise wisely.

Tell us about what you have done so far to research buying a dog in Thailand. Tell us about your decision making process. Tell us what kind of residence and where you are living. Tell us a little about yourself and your history in Thailand before starting such a potentially incendiary thread. At this point, you appear to be a troll. @StillCurious

Get stabbed, go to 7-11. Asked why stabbed, say they didn't like my jokes. This is one laid back Russian. -

For the safety of the public, this nutter needs to be locked up for a very long time. -
It all depends on how wealthy and how connected the family of the drink driver and the family of the victim are. This is key to determining the outcome. It will definitely cost the drink driver some money, more if you factor his loss on the vehicle. Assuming the family of the victim are quite poor people, I could see the drink driver avoiding prison for less than a million baht. I don't think this is right, by they way.

Family Injured After Blanket Gets Caught in Motorbike Wheel
Briggsy replied to Georgealbert's topic in Pattaya News
Sadly, this was an accident waiting to happen. If not, this time, it would have been the next. No more than 2 on a motorbike. (Not adhered to) If you can't reach the footpegs, you don't get on. (Not adhered to) Helmets for all. (Not adhered to) No loose strings, cords, straps or clothing hanging down. (Not adhered to) Protective armoured clothing. (Not adhered to) I am sure they took a lot more risks, such as speeding, that we don't know about. Result. They are now all injured. -
Thai woman shares Bolt driver watches porn throughout her ride

He sounds like he is fairly new on the sex offender learning curve. He will only get worse and his offending become more serious. He is completely unsuitable to be working as a taxi driver. He needs to face consequences now before he starts attacking women physically. -

You are best getting your kip in Laos. You may struggle to obtain kip in Thailand. The general rule is pay in the currency that is quoted whether that be dollars, baht or kip. You will usually be quoted in kip for most things. If you then say, "Can I pay in baht?" the answer will be yes but the exchange rate will be poor. There are one or two items that cannot be paid for in baht. I was not allowed to pay for the bus to Khon Kaen from the Vientiane bus station in baht, had to pay in kip. That was a hassle. So, to summarise, get some kip as soon as you can after crossing into Laos. -
Yes, I enjoyed my visit to Ubon. I went to Pha Taem National Park. I tried Tam mua, if I remember, in a park that becomes a food market in the evening in Ubon city centre. I could imagine living there.
