  1. I remember getting the night train from Bangkok to Chiang Mai years ago. Slow. Not International Standards. The bar was open all night, all night party. Laugh? I nearly got a round in. Arrived 6 or 7 in the morning, three sheets to. No hotel booked, so I had to go 'round to hotels and guesthouses asking if there were any rooms available. The first five or six said no, and ushered me out the door. Eventually found one with compassionate policies, had a couple of hours kip, then off to Loi Kroh road for lunchtime refreshments. Fortunately I knew at the time that these were the good old days.
  2. I've said it before, and no doubt I'll say it again. Be very happy to have been young years ago.
  3. This is an exceptional intro to a movie. 9 minutes in one shot.
  4. Can't seem to get part 2 to go in the same post, so...
  5. Some great intros on here. The Saving Private Ryan battle scene is stunning. The Matirix opening scene is excellent, notable because it took six months of training and four days to shoot. Here's another great intro, which takes the viewer by surprise when the credits come up. It's easy to forget that this is the intro.
  6. Maybe there should be an addition to the film that must be watched when getting or renewing a driving license. When on a dark/badly-lit road, don't drive hell-for-leather and hope for the best.
  7. I'd complain about those two. One looks like she's dead with makeup on, and the other looks like a man. Give me grumpy old fat women any day. I'd know where I stand.
