Blow snot into their handkerchief then stick it in their pocket!?! How revolting! I blow my snot on to the ground.

OK, I see the misunderstanding. I thought that when the poster said, 'wearing a mask in this region of the world IS normal and has been for decades long before Covid.' that the poster was referring to Thailand or even Asia as a whole. But you refer to Bangkok, Chiang Mai during the burning season and Korea and China. Got it.

Cultural Misunderstanding or Cultural Incompatibilty?
Thujone replied to sqwakvfr's topic in Chiang Mai
The point some, even many people make is that if somebody makes a return visit to a restaurant where they haven't tipped, repulsive additions may be made to your food as punishment. But, as I said, this could be an urban myth. -
I'm enjoying being able to stroll around maskless. Back to normal.

I just took the test and apparently my mental age is 32, I'm over-worried, (though I've no idea what I'm over-worried about), and was born in 1990. Curiously, 32 was one of my best ages, but I don't remember having a worry for any of it.

I've always found shaking hands to be a revolting tradition. Fortunately nobody has wanted to shake my hand for years. The fluorescent green mankini and socks with sandals look works perfectly to dissuade hand-shakers.

I'm extremely happy I was young years ago. Makes it worth being an old fart now. As for my average age? I can't remember...

I read an article that serotonin production decreases with age. Serotonin is a hormone that works as a mood stabiliser, and promotes wellbeing and happiness. A diet of fiber-rich plant foods with meat and fat in moderation can help with serotonin production. Exercise is also helpful. So try swinging your beer gut from the barstool, eat healthily and exercise and maybe, like me, you wont notice how much things cost, but just buy them because you enjoy them.

The NHS is only funded by income tax. It is also funded by other taxes such as corporation taxes and VAT. -

This from the current GOV.UK website. 'If you are a UK national living abroad and are returning to live in the UK, you will be able to use the NHS for your healthcare. You will need to complete a GMS1 form to register with a GP near your home. Anyone in England can register with a GP surgery. It's free to register. You do not need proof of address or immigration status, ID or an NHS number.' -

They aren't treating everybody for free. They are paid from NHS funds. The NHS is funded from taxation. Those who use the NHS services aren't required to pay extra for the use of those services. The payment has been covered from the foresaid taxation. -

The theory is that the farts are on a repeat visit, not on the untipped visit. -

'well if you're silly enough to not leave a tip when it's expected/mandatory eg. USA then you deserve everything you get.' So you agree that not leaving a tip deserves a fart on your fondue next visit. Ok. Got it. (Not sure what that's got to do with me not having life experience...)
