Sounds like a baseless rumor to me.

What would be different between it and the other options due to corvid 19?

Exactly what would the other options be. Not really rhetorical either is it, I chuckle a little whenever I hear rumors like this because I just did mine like that with no issues a less than month ago. Immigration might ask questions about any possible inconsistent deposit dates. I had a few early deposits because of weekends and US holidays but it was no problem with immigration I just showed them my calendar of US holidays and weekends and they called and checked with their headquarters and it was fine. Monthly income is no problem at immigration it never was. These rumors have started simply because immigration will ask questions and carefully review each deposit but as long as you’re within the rules of “monthly” income you’ll be fine, I was earlier this month when I got my stamp. They also accepted my pension letters as supporting documents and they included them with my bank paperwork.

I am sure the allow online and mailed in reporting.

This the address shown on their website. http://pathumthani.imm.police.go.th/index1.htm

No. 159, Village No. 7, Suan Pepper Subdistrict,

Mueang Pathum Thani District, Pathum Thani Province, Postal Code 12000

I don’t have to worry about reporting again till June. I always report in person because I live in the city. But what guidance if any has immigration put out about in person reporting? If they have not put anything out yet I’m sure we’ll be hearing something soon.

Curfew if implemented, and enforced by who???? Police ????, Army???? if it was implemented by either of these I would lock down and self isolate out of sight.

It said no curfew in place so I guess my wife’s sister was wrong. I thought I read no curfew in place I’ll check again. My wife’s sister was saying something about that today.

I'm pretty sure it will be jimn, but that isn't a problem for me.  I need to be back at work for mid-May and am more than happy to wait it out here until then.  Elsewhere today TV is reporting that those with WP's will not be barred from entry, but I am yet to find anything official about that.

Apparently according to my Australian friend he only got a two week extension because no one knows and now they just reported that the borders are now closed!!! It hopefully will not last more than 30 days as I believe they said so far.

I don't see any info at those links that shows the geographic breakdown of CV cases in Thailand.

The geographic breakdown info for Thailand is in the Thai Enquirer link I posted above.

Well he or was it you I don’t remember was asking for information and that was the closest thing to what was asked that I know I have for you. Because it’s current tracking information on COVID 19 from the United States Embassy as of yesterday. Sorry if that’s not enough. Lol, please fill out a comment card and let me know how I may serve you better next time ???? just kidding and just trying to help.

Just do it!  I am totally stressed out  at the moment.  I just got a call confirming my suspicions.....the battery in my laptop is dead!  The computer shop in PhiChit says they cannot get a new battery...despite the fact it is an Asus model that has sold in the many millions, and dozens of sellers on Aliexpress have listed replacement batterie's for this model.  It is devastating news.  Maybe if I  am lucky I can buy one on Lazada, install it myself and stop using this horrible OPPO phone to surf TV forum.

Ok, I’m pretty sure YouTube is approved by ThaiVisa but if I’m wrong please accept my apology and please feel free to remove this if I am forgetting any rule. I just wanna be careful because I don’t want to violate any rules or even discuss any rules because I saw a message earlier about that. So I am pretty sure this is ok but if not I understand if it get removed but I don’t see anything wrong with it.

Anyway check out this movie clip lol, does this remind anyone of anyone watching the news at home scared? I know this was me yesterday lol.

Check out this guy watching the news lol ????. ME WATCHING CNN ????

I hope everything gets better for you. Well, this is because we’re stuck watching CNN for now but NHK World Japan is a good news source less politics more news in all seriousness. But half jokingly me watching CNN ????. Humor is very important in times like these.

  9. Is a little bit of humor allowed to post? What about posting a comical YouTube video from a movie clip that satirizes all of us watching the news scared? Am I allowed to post something like that? It’s actually funny and it lightens people up in this mess so I don’t see why not. But I should probably ask before I post it. I’m afraid to post anything funny. I don’t see any thing wrong with humor in times like these.

Are YouTube videos allowed? I have something that’ll make everyone chuckle a little.

  10. They’ve already announced in the United States that the numbers are still coming in so of course the numbers are still going to probably get higher in coming days just simply because they are probably still counting infections so it’s no reason to be further alarmed. Plus after a month of self quarantine and social distancing which for the most part people seem to be doing it so hopefully by next month we’ll start seeing these numbers get lower. Because people are seriously taking action reaction unfortunately proactive would have been nice in a certain place but at least they are reacting well and dealing with the situation well and most governments are also doing a good job so far of reacting and trying to salvage the world economy and the entire world order. They’re still in control and the world is still going and we’ll get through this. We’ve seen things like 9-11, and the world has been through worse so in the year 2020 we have the skills, the technology, and the know how to beat this thing. It’s bad but it’s NOT the end of the world. The government seems to be reacting quite well so far and doing the right things so it’ll be ok.

  11. I wouldn’t worry about the power company too much yet they’re still working I just saw them on the 21st working on our street because we had a power outage after we had lightning strike the power lines outside in fact I actually saw the lightening strike out the window! It hit the power box on the telephone pole and it exploded like a bomb. But they fixed it pretty quick so far so good the world is still moving.

Either the chickens are on strike or they've been given the lock-down order by big daddy.

Went out to buy a tray of eggs this morning, dark side pattaya, local shops-none, big market on Soi CountryClub-none, KhaoTalo market-one small stand nearly sold out and selling at 50% inflated prices.

Otherwise, markets not very busy, many shops closed, not all that much traffic, some people wearing coffee filters on their face, others not.

I just had Foodpanda deliver some awesome breakfast eggs over easy and boiled eggs for me. No problem here.

Does anyone know can a thai with a fit to fly still fly into bangkok...ie have they closed the airport

I would expect potential airport closures to happen possibly soon especially after reading what the US Embassy said about if you’re gonna go go now while flights are still available. So have a plan and a plan in case you are stuck in transit like our friend from the states is probably gonna end up. If you don’t have to travel then you probably shouldn’t.

The airport is still open currently but who knows how long it’ll stay open at this point. Starting tomorrow the country is going into emergency mode. I would expect potential airport closures especially after reading what the US Embassy said about if you’re gonna go go now while flights are still available.

  15. My wife’s sister says there’s a 7PM curfew in Korat but I have not heard anything officially yet about any curfews from any official sources yet. So this is UNCONFIRMED just what my wife’s sister said but I honestly wouldn’t be surprised at all if there is. I believe the lockdown begins tomorrow so she’s probably just hearing stuff like most of us probably are. Honestly if there’s not an official curfew yet you know that’s coming.

    Where?

No where yet. I think some people are spreading rumors. I think he was trying to suggest that the police were taking money to let people pass but that’s false. No road blocks yet that I’m aware of none have been reported yet but I’m concerned that might be coming. But I just heard it on the news and they do have the power to shutdown everything for a month so I’m canceling our little short road trip to the mountains next week. Enough said on that after what I just heard on the news.

I am getting angry at some of the comments, are all Foreigners complete numpties or do they not have the ability to read. We have all seen what is happening across the Globe , hoping like hell that it will not happen here, but in truth those that can THINK , knew all along it was going to happen , many thought and planned but an awful lot did nothing and now ask idiotic and pointless questions , about Immigration for example, when any man would have checked weeks ago if he thought he would have a problem, it is down to us not THEM to make sure we abide by the rules .Are all those complaining so bloody dense they cannot think or act.

Sorry sympathy is for the really ill and very old who rely on others, not most on here who I am sure are reasonably healthy but seem unable to think.

    Yeah foreigners
