    I can tell you from a country where it was legalized nothing happened here. IT's all horse hockey but that doesn't matter - when your truth is ruled by delusion and you can pronounce outright lies as victories there is little doubt that this will be hugely successful. Well done thaigh-land.

    Hey I hope they are ok and it would be good to maybe reach out if you think it's acceptable and see how they are doing. I don't find this situation at all funny and yes it can happen to anyone. Poor guys.

    I am absolutely not in favour of this. The 2-5 pm ban on alcohol is a good primer to Thailands inane nature. Particularly when you go from a 7-11 and walk a block away and get a beer from a vendor who sells it to you when he shouldn't - wink wink nudge nudge say no more say no more...

    I think the water in Thailand is making some people even stupider. When I pointed this out recently I was accused of being an anti-vaxer. Yes, we have all moved on. WE have no mandates here, hospitalizations are minor and dropping every day and I haven't worn a mask in over a month. Life is normal here.

    We all know that but their flights have been cancelled. And when your currency drops like it has you no longer have currency.

    These guys are hooped - with their currency literally the price of toilet paper, how does one afford a flight out of thailand? Or even eat? I don't wish this on anyone.

    I can't agree more that "they are aware of it" however as people age they change their thinking patterns and tend to get in line with group thought. IT's no different in any other country. Look at university students when they start voicing their opinions. Nah, they aren't going to change. To change the way that things work it takes a generation or two at least. Just my opinion!

    Thailand is no different from China and is starting to emulate it in every way. IT's very frustrating to see but there is little that can be done. Westerners are far different from Thais in that we grew up with basic rights and freedoms. They did not so are unaccustomed to making a fuss in any real substantive way. IT's not something that anyone can change, and Thailand will go where it goes like a tanker and there will be no stopping it.

    If you're vaccinated you get a sniffle and that's it. For god's sake the Queen got it and she's as old as the hills and had no problem. Good grief people, stop worrying so much. Even the unvaccinated the effects are far less than Delta. Geez!

    I tested positive four days ago! ???? Do you know what I had for symptoms? I had 2 naps during the day, felt tired and a runny nose and a headache. It wasn't even a cold. I am 100 percent now. What a frigging joke it was! Get real kids - this thing is over.

    I am willing to bet one million dollars to anyone that they will not only not flood in but nobody will care at all. Currently live in a country where it was legalized. No extra tourism, no such thing.

    How's the gas prices everyone? Happy? Oil just jumped ten percent now. That will trickle down to... everything. The world cannot sustain the kind of inflation that we are facing here. Forget Russian tourists, that is the LEAST of their worries.

    It's very important not to attach political stereotypes to people. I agree, many russians are not fond of Putin but there is little they can do there. Their prisons and detention facilities are truly horrific. And that's where they will end up if they protest.

    I wouldn't worry about Russian tourists. The currency is basically toilet paper now, and even if they could get there they would go through the worthless currency in a heartbeat. IT's impossible to over-state how bad their currency is now.

    Well, I can only ask but a few questions: Is it the poor personal hygiene? Is it the strange odour that comes from eating their ethnic foods? Is it the pushy nature? Is it the lack of regular laundering of clothes? I just don't know if I missed something. Obviously there are differences in the stereotype that we all know ( and know!) but by and large I feel that my list is quite relevant wouldn't you all say?

    More high quality tourists? The definition of "high quality" appears to be obscured.

    You have to be really really stoned to think that cannibis tourism profitable. The first thing that you have to do is find people who want to go on holiday to get wasted. I mean, who the hell does that. It's legal here and it's no big deal. At all. Nobody cares. And there is no, I repeat no tourism from it.
