  1. well, because chiang mai immigration wants an update of tm30 even if you go to stay in a hotel for just 1 night but then you return to the same address ( my friend's house in this case)
  2. in the worst case scenario can he just visit the immigration office to re-update the current tm30 just showing the lease agreement, copy and tabien baan of the owner's house?
  3. I am asking for a friend of mine. So, he is on under consideration and he has to visit the local immigration again around the end of march to get the final stamp. He is staying in a house and he has a 1 year lease agreement and he has the tm30 already registered to the immigration system, but he likes to go to hotels for 1 night sometimes. It's not a problem? Can he do that without having to risk issues to get the final stamp after the under consideration period? He just wants to avoid that hotels might update his tm30, he wants to keep the current tm30 that he registered with the lease agreement of the house he is staying right now
  4. Well, I only bring my new passport and after a few weeks they even let me increase the daily transaction limit to 2 million THB, probably because I have Thai bank account since almost 9 years. No stress at all
  5. why bring also the old passport? The banks already have the old passport number in their system. I just bring my new passport with the new visa stamp and the bank book. It took them 5 minutes
  6. Does thai immigration still give free visa exemption 60 days?
  7. I've entered Thailand only 2 times on 2025. The first time with a tourist e-visa and the second time with a border run 60 days exemption stamp. I don't think I've a long history of staying. There are people that are even doing more than 3 border bounce. Me only one on 2025. I don't see what's the reason to have issues to return to Thailand with another tourist e-visa after I've been out of the country since 2/3 months
  8. However, I have never had a problem when I entered Thailand with a tourist e-visa. And I've never been asked to show 20000 bath cash. I think there is no need to use the safe entry if you are coming back to Thailand with a tourist visa granted from the embassy
  9. Yes, I'm also considering the 6 month METV It's recommended to use the safe entry service if you come back with a tourist e-visa? Does it make sense or not really? Just to avoid possible issues
  10. With these endless new rules, if you come back to Thailand by air with a tourist e-visa, should you be able to do 2 land border crossing in a calendar year to get 60 days exemption stamps?🤔 - it's recommended to bring 20k bath cash at this time if you are coming with a tourist e-visa or is still rarely ask if you come with a visa?
  11. Like this I'm losing the feeling to come to Thailand again. It's too stressful everywhere! It's only about money now, I don't like it anymore
  12. I left Thailand one month ago and I'm planning to come back around January 2026. I wanted to apply for another tourist e-visa online but they ask for a bank statement for at least 3 months and I just don't want to wait all this time as I didn't think to leave some money inside my Thai bank account before. So I will probably just fly to Thailand without a visa and get a 60 days exemption stamp at the airport. To avoid the risk of being denied, it would be safer if I use a safe entry service before landing? Should my plan work? I have had one tourist visa on 2025 +30 days extension and one border run with 60 days exemption stamp + 30 days extension
  13. it's because thais don't have the skills on how to drive. They can even kill you and don't care. Most of thais are always drunk
  14. by air. Should it be fine if i show a ticket out of thailand within 60 days, 20,000 thb cash and hotel address details? I want to apply for an ED visa or DTV after 60 days exemption + 30 days extension. That's my plan
  15. 2026 everything will be reset and no need to apply for a tourist e-visa, that's great haha. I'm waiting for the countdown then
  16. how do you show funds? Bringing 10,000 thb cash? I would enter via air, not from a border bounce
  17. What are the requirements for the 60 days exemption if you decide to come back to Thailand via air on 2026? Do the same rules still apply or has something changed?
  18. I can also apply for DTV 5 years, no problem at all
  19. It's not with a university. I'll use a visa agency. It's learning Thai language with a group class. DTV is also on my mind. It would be possible to obtain a second ED visa in this case? What do you think?
  20. Just want to know if it could be possible to apply for a second ED visa. I've had the first one on 2020
  21. So, I have been out of Thailand since the beginning of November 2025 and I am planning to come back in the new year 2026. Is it possible to apply for the third SETV while I am in my country? Will the Thai embassy accept another request of SETV? When would it be the best time to come back? I have already applied for 2 SETV between 2024 and 2025. What's my options after my e-visa will finish? Ok I can extend 30 days more at my local immigration and then I could do a border crossing to get 60 days visa exemption (if immigration might not change the rules). But I am thinking about one year ed visa as I want to change my country of residence
  22. I stay less than 180 days per year. No problem for me in any case
  23. give it them the time, gonna change the rules again, as always
