  1. Sorry if I say that but it's absurd that some foreigners living in a much cheaper country than USA or Europe have limited savings
  2. To me this tax thing is irrelevant as I only stay in Thailand less than 6 months. I won't give my money to a country that isn't mine
  3. A friend of mine left Thailand (bangkok airport) without exit stamp on passport by the immigration officer, as passport control was done automatically by passport control machine that checked the passport electronically and took photo of my friend, then the gate was opened It's the first time that happens to him. Every time he left Thailand he always get an exit stamp by the immigration officer. It's this new thing normal? 😄
  4. I'm talking about to making a border run from thailand to laos, to get a new exempt stamp, that means that people have already been in thailand. What it doesn't make sense? Thai immigration ask to see tm30 or proof of accommodation when you return to the country. A friend of mine was asked to show a tm30 and onward flight out of thailand within 60 days
  5. because thai immigration at the chiang khong border asked for it before, it was also reported on the border run websites
  6. Now It is again only 1 day trip and only have to show passport to re-enter to Thailand, no more tm30 and onward flight requested at Chiang Khong border
  7. It's possible to reach the airport at the moment or not?
  8. Do you think the situation might get better by November? There is a friend of mine that has to go to Chiang Mai airport to fly back to India
  9. He just told me he will do a new tm30 when he will go back to the same hotel... He asked that to the receptionist and no problem at all. Thank you for the answers by the way
  10. he is planning to do 30 days extension, he said he will want to stay more time to thailand
  11. A friend of mine is staying in a hotel, he has booked for one month but he needs to go to another hotel just for one night. Does it have to ask the receptionist to do tm30 again when he will go back to the first hotel that he has booked for one month?
  12. All right, it's clear now, thanks
  13. I just wanted to know if i also have to go to report my tm30 in person within 24 hours or not really. That's all
  14. Yeah, I have got this as well. Then great!
  15. all right thanks... It's also fine if i ask my landlord to give me a printout of the online tm30 registration that she has made for me for the immigration? The hotel i was before gave me a printout of it for example, not really a screenshot
  16. Just one more question. Do I have to go to report my tm30 to the immigration within 24 hour? As my landlord will only register a TM 30 for me on Saturday and immigration is closed on weekends
  17. Sorry if I go off-topic but I prefer not to open a new topic again. I would like to know if the tax rule after 6 months still apply or not every time I leave the country by land or by plane and then return If for example I stay in Thailand for 3 months and then I do a border run and then come back, does the 6 months rule taxation still valid or only if you stay here for 6 months without never exit from the country?
  18. who will give me? The apartment owner or my local immigration?
  19. ok thanks. Just one more question... Do I have to go to my local immigration office to get the tm30 receipt? Just in case for my next extension or another border run
  20. I just called the apartment owner, she told me that she will also file a tm30 online for me
  21. I am staying in a hotel right now and the owner has reported my stay to the immigration the first day that i chcecked in, he did that online. I will go to stay in an apartment in the next days and I will ask the apartment owner to file a tm30 online for the immigration. Thanks for the answers
  22. What about the tm30 receipt? I would also need it for my next extension or next border run
  23. I will move from a hotel to an apartment in the next days. Do I have to visit my local immigration office to report a tm30 or the apartment owner will report it for me? The hotel receptionist reported the current tm30 for me but i didn't visit my local immigration office. I don't have any tm30 receipt since i stay in a hotel, they only gave me the tm30 report that they made online for the immigration
  24. I will not be taxed anyway as I will leave the country before 180 days. Probably my next country is going to be Vietnam
