  1. Just would like to know if someone can confirm that? A friend of mine has submitted a TM 30 at Chiang Mai immigration the day he is arrived to Thailand but after a few weeks he travelled to pattaya for 5 days, he stayed in a hotel over there. He is going to go back to Chiang Mai next week, to the same address submitted on the TM 30 receipt. The staff that registered the TM 30 for him said that is not necessary to submit a new TM 30 if you travel to another city in Thailand and you go back to Chiang Mai to the previous address. He will need the TM 30 receipt to extend his tourist visa of 30 days more and then he will do a few border bounce. Does Chiang Mai immigration updated this rule about TM 30?
  2. Yes, pattaya is a crazy place right now. Full of strange and old fat foreigners. Full of Indians and arrogant russians. Personally I wouldn't travel to pattaya more than a week. One last thing my friend said, that it is noisy so much and they always build or fix something, everywhere you go
  3. A friend of mine came back to Thailand and after almost 2 weeks that he is over there he said that locals are more racist and rude. He also saw that Thais don't have good education and they don't have any type of skills. Bolt taxi drivers don't even look at your face when they bring you somewhere. There are so much scammers, especially in pattaya!. He is feeling like there is more racism now and people are crazy about money. He still like Thailand by the way but he is also looking at other options, Vietnam and other south east Asian country
  4. But there is any issues if you don't cancel an extension based upon marriage. You can get other type of extension, no problem
  5. Why waste time to go the immigration office to cancel it? Just leave the country prior the valid date of your extension and it will be automatically canceled. Easy Unless you want to do a border bounce, then yes, it should be canceled at the immigration office prior to do a border bounce
  6. However, the e-visa website says that you can't make an online payment if you are applying at the thai embassy in vientiane. So i think you must go to pay for the visa in person
  7. That's awesome then, I could easily use a statement from my wise saving account! Thanks for the info!
  8. Ok great. But what about the bank statement? It's also accepted wise statement or revolut? A Thai bank statement is also accepted? If for example I'd like to apply for a tourist visa in Laos
  9. I don't think it can be difficult to apply for a tourist visa and show only 20000 THB in a bank account. It's a little money
  10. It's always about money. Thai embassies need money. Easy to understand. By the way, let's say the 60 days exemption will drop to 30 days again and so I would prefer to apply for a tourist visa outside Thailand, for example I would need to apply for it in my country or in another Asian country (for example Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos) can I also show 20,000 THB in my Thai bank account or it must be shown on my foreign bank account only? I have wise and revolut as a foreign savings account Can I walk in to the Thai embassy to apply or is only possible to apply on the e-visa website? It's my id card or passport accepted as proof of residence if for example I'm applying for a tourist visa while I'm in Laos?
  11. It was my best time in thailand during this covid pandemic. No traffic jam, not much noisy and drunk people, very quiet! Good if they make close all the borders and airports again. Can get extensions to remain in the country haha
  12. A friend of mine likes to come to Thailand since 2016. He just came back to Thailand after staying out of the country for almost 6 months, the immigration officer just asked him how long he is going to stay in Thailand and what he do here. After he answered he got the stamp. It only took a few minutes, no problem at all By the way, if I was in your situation i would probably use the safe entry service just to be safer. Pay more money but no entry issues at least. All good and no stress 👍
  13. sorry to say that but it's absurd that in 2025 some people do not even have an old smartphone
  14. This is not the case if you were on extension based upon marriage but you didn't cancel it the day of divorce. You can apply for another type of extension, for example retirement extension, even if you didn't cancel the previous extension based upon marriage A friend of mine had an extension based upon marriage but he got divorced and exited Thailand without cancel the extension at the immigration office. He came back with a tourist visa and then he applied for a retirement extension. No issues at all
  15. So this is a case only for education and work extensions? No problem if you want to apply for marriage extension or retirement extensions?
  16. But if the education extension is expired he can apply for other type of visa and extensions. Like in the case of marriage visas or retirement visa. When it's expired is automatically invalid anyway Or maybe it is a different case for education visa/extensions? It must be cancelled before applying for other type of visas or extensions?
  17. Not true. A friend of mine was married to a Thai but he got divorced and he remained in Thailand without cancel the extension based upon marriage. He left the country before the expiration of the extension and months later he got other type of visa and extension with no issues at all
  18. Just exit the country and then come back again. Many foreigners are paying visa agencies just to get a DTV to stay long term
  19. A friend of mine told me that you should add the last country that bring you to thailand on the country where you boarded. Immigration don't care if you have started to fly from your country of origin. So if you have a layover to another airport, just add the connecting flight that will bring you to thailand
  20. I always knew that is better to avoid extending DTV at immigration office. The best thing is to do a border bounce or just fly to another asian country and then come back. Easy easy! No stress
