OP, if your currently in Bangkok try and obtain extension at MTT few days prior to Dec 25.
If you book into Bangkok hotel check if they will give you copy of TM30.
You might not even need the TM30. Some people have been asked for one at MTT and some not. As usual not much consistency.
So you recommend to book a hotel in Bangkok to get a TM30? I live in a condo but I don't have any TM30. How long need the booking in the hotel? Do you recommend some hotel?
Ok, but maybe I don't need the TM30, how soon before December 25 could I go to immigration? I would like to secure as soon as possible.
Thank you!

Many of the agents use KK office.
The OP should check in passport which office his stamp was issued.
He could then have hotel do a TM30 in Bangkok if wishing to obtain extension at MTT.
Mmmmm, I paid an agent for a medical visa, and it says there Kalasin Inmigration, need to go to Kalasin if I want a 60 days extension?
Actually I don't know if this is a medical visa or no, here the screens:

I pray God it's our lastMy favorite christmas song, no doubt. I love The Pogues! Shane McGowan is a genious, or at least he was. Now there is a documental about him produced for Johnny Depp and directed by Julien Temple, I want to watch, in San Sebastian film festival won the audience award.
Now this lyrics are censored in the BBC.

Can you explain me better? What is exactly the affidavit? An embassy letter is not an option for me, so if they ask for that I can't.
I can go to my country without any problem.
I don't understand why there was not this option in september. Because I remember the options were get a new visa, or the 30 days extension in some cases.

My last time in inmigration was in april, for a 30 days extension in the tourist visa, just before they extended again the visa amnesty. Do you mean that office? It's in Bangkok in the north, in Lak Si.

Hello, I'm a little lost, I have a medical visa until the 25th of december and I don't know which options I have now. I was thinking to pay 25k for a non imm 3 months visa, that was the price some months ago, I don't know now if is the same or less.
But now I read some people have 60 days covid visa extensions, and they are thinking to extend again, that option is new for me. Can I buy in an agency that visa extension? If the answer is yes, I would like to know moreless the price. Because, I understand that kind of visa extension is when you can't go to your country, etc... In my case I can go without any problem.
I'm thinking to go tomorrow to Thai Visa Centre, but I would like to have some good information before.
By the way, to pay 18k for the 3 months medical visa was not a good business. They extended one more month in the end of september (out of date, you know). And afer that it seems there is this 60 days covid visa extension. 3 months ago I did not read nothing about that.
Thanks in advance.

I was just going to say that SCB tends to be very difficult and officious but I see that you managed to open an account with Kungsri. I assume this includes an ATM card?
Yes, it includes the atm card.

Thank you for the answers! Finally I opened a bank account in Krungsri in On Nut. It was not easy, but with the help of a thai friend I made it, we were in the bank more than 2 hours. The key was the 1 year condo contract, because I don't have work permit, and my visa ends in the end of december, but finally they accept to open the account.

I need to open a thai bank account, as soon as possible, I have some important reasons for that, it's a long story.
How can I get one? Trying and trying, maybe? I'm here now with a medical visa until the end of december, I'm going to buy a Non IMM for 3 more months, but I need this thai bank in the next 2 weeks. I don't have work permit, but I have a one year contract for the condo, can I get a thai bank account with that?
I went today in On Nut to a Krungsri Bank, the girl ask me for a work permit, and I told her I don't have one, she put an strange face. I told her, I have money, I have visa until the end of the year and I'm going to have a new visa, and I have a condo contract for one year, she told me come with the contract and we will see.
Any advise?

I see Truemove is more expensive, has better coverage?
I want to confirm, if I buy one of this data plans, is unlimited internet without restrictions? I mean, the speed will not be slower when you reach some certain amount of GBs. Is good enough for Netflix?
Thank you.

Which codes? It's better with the codes or Lazada?

No.
It's always fast? I'm very surprised because the price of one year it's similar to one month. I have a friend who pays for unlimited internet in the phone more than 1000 bahts every month.
I need to share the internet of the phone to the laptop and to the TV with Netflix, it's ok with this kind of data plan?

When it says unlimited, I guess when you reach a certain amount of gbs the speed will be slower... is that so?

Thai Visa Centre offered me Volunteer Visa 3 months 25k and one year 35k, that was 2 months ago. But maybe now is more expensive.

I'm awaiting for a 3 months medical visa, I paid to this agency in the first week of september, I told them I want the date of the visa close to the 26th, but tomorrow it's 21 so I will contact them. I hope everything goes well.

They offered me a medical visa 90 days for 18k, I talked with a swedish guy who goes there and he told me it's reliable. They told me it needs 10-14 business days, so if I want to start the 90 days close to the 26th of september I would need to go in the first week of september. I want to be here until the 26th of december, so I need some days of overstay, is that a problem? For example if I get the 90 days the 25th of september, the overstay would be only two days, but if the day of the stamp is the 21th of september, it would be 6 days. In that case, which is the best option? To pay the fine in the airport the day of my flight? To go to an inmigration office before that? Could they investigate me? Ask me for medical documentation?

I asked 6 schools and the replies were like those:
"Unless something has changed within the last week or so that I am unaware of, it's not possible to apply for an ED visa within Thailand. You'll be required to leave the country. However there may be alternative options within Pattaya, last I heard immigration were attempting to work something out in this province. You'd be best advised to consider this branch if at all possible. You could contact our school there once you're ready and they may be able to assist you."
"Thank you for your email, you can change inside Thailand to a student visa in Pattaya and then study in BKK. The cost to change in Pattaya for 6 months is 36000b. This is 18000b for the documents for the office, and 13000b for immigration to change inside, and then 5000b for 1 expansion for 90 days. You pay a deposit of 10000b, deductible off the 18000b to start the process. If you want to study in BKK you must talk to them about the study cost. We would need to check your passport for the visa entry so if you could send me a copy of the first page and the visa page that would be helpful. If you are in BKK you can apply by email, or come to Pattaya and fill the forms out. As far as I am aware it is perfectly legal to get a ED visa through a language school. It requires some extra fee, but it is available nation wide at many legitimate schools and openly advertised. It was not typically done in pre-covid times, but I have never read anything stating it is illegal.
It's illegal, because legally you need to go to a thai embassy outside Thailand. You pay the extra fee because that. I would like to know about schools where I can pay that extra fee for the ED visa within Thailand. As I said until now I only have the 36k "offer".

If you did not apply for the 30-day extension after you entered Thailand on your Tourist Visa, you are still entitled to it.
It is NOT the same as the 30-day extension you could get at the beginning of the Amnesty on the basis of an Embassy statement.
I applied, but I paid the 1900 bahts too early, the amnesty started 10 days before my 30 days extension.

I don't have too much info, I'm 40, and they told me I need to go to a thai embassy outside Thailand, or the other option would be to pay 36k in Pattaya for 6 months ED Visa. I think in this forum there are people who got the visa within Thailand, I would like to know how and where.

If you are married to a thai national or have a thai dependant child, you can apply for the 60-day extension of stay for reason of family visit.
If you did not yet use it you can apply for a 30-day extension of stay which your Tourist Visa entitles you to.
When you have a thai dependant child you can also apply for the 90-day Non Imm O Visa for that reason and extend that later into a 1-year extension of stay (no financials needed).
>> Also an ED Visa might be an option (but I have no info on that).
Thank you.
I'm not married.
I used the 30 days extension, actually I did not use because I extended my visa too early, and after that started the amnesty, but it counts like used.
No have thai dependant child.
ED Visa legally you need to go outside Thailand.
I only see illegal options:
Pay an agent for a visa within Thailand.
Overstay. This option I don't like.

Ok, I don't want to start a new topic about the same.
I'm in tourist visa until the 26th of september, I need 3 more months of visa. I was thinking in the volunteer visa for 25k in Thai Visa Centre, today they were arrested. They offered me 6 months student visa for 36k, but is too expensive and I only need 3 months. I read something about medical visa.
I need help, if I want to stay until december, which is my best option?
By the way, I would study thai, starting now until december, I asked a lot of schools and nothing, only the option of 36k.
Can I extend a medical Visa for 30 days?
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits

Aha, I supposed it. So I paid for a medical visa 3 months, and they give me an extension of stay 3 months.
Does this suppose some kind of problem for an extension of 60 days?
