Quote“The suspects established a company called Thai Visa Centre, [allegedly] offering a visa-forging service for foreigners and advertising via the Internet,” Sompong said yesterday (August 4). “We tracked down their operation to a house in Soi Seri Thai 73 in Bangkok’s Khannayao district. At the house officials found several forged documents and 55 rubber stamps of sigils of different Thai government departments,” he added.
I was thinking to go there this week... And I guess some people in this forum is processing the visas with them.

A friend of mine has just received a Volunteer Visa - no WP needed
Cost was 42k for 15 months
Medical visas available for 17k for 90 days
Medical Visa? Where can I get it? Which option is better volunteer or medical visa?
Until now I only have the option of the volunteer visa 25.000 bahts for 3 months. It would count after 26th of september, so I would have visa until the last days of december.
I ask some schools, because I would study thai, and the answers were like those:
1. Unless something has changed within the last week or so that I am unaware of, it's not possible to apply for an ED visa within Thailand.
2. We don't provide an education visa program for the time being.
3. Thank you for your email, you can change inside Thailand to a student visa in Pattaya and then study in BKK. The cost to change in Pattaya for 6 months is 36000b. This is 18000b for the documents for the office, and 13000b for immigration to change inside, and then 5000b for 1 expansion for 90 days.
So, I will not pay 36.000 bahts for 3 months (until september I have the tourist visa). I'm asking some other schools. For the time I'm interested, to pay 25k volunteer visa and to study thai seems the better option until now.

That’s not true. You can get a student visa without leaving the country. If you are serious about studying Thai language, many language schools can arrange this. I am in the process of doing this now. Ask any language school in your area. Its not hard to find one that can arrange this if you try.
Can you recommend me some school? The problem for me is that in december I need to go out, and the courses I think are 6-12 months.

Did they tell you if they will keep your passport the entire time the visa is being processed (several weeks)? A friend of mine asked an agent in Pattaya and that's what they told him.
That would be a no-go for me in Thailand, being without my passport for weeks. I had always thought you get an under consideration stamp and then come back to have your visa or extension stamped into your passport.
I think they keep the passport all the process. I will tell you, I'm thinking to go there the next week.

I assume random checks by police looking for foreigners overstaying will be common after the sept 26 deadline.
I don't know if it's risky or no, but it's the only way, volunteer visa or overstay. I asked for an student visa and they told me I can't get it within Thailand, is that true? I have the answer or one school. Has anyone got an student visa paying an extra within Thailand?

So volunteer visa is only for 3 months? I doubt they will extend indefinitely.
1 year is 35.000 bahts. Too much better price 1 year than 3 months.
In my case, I only want to be until the end of december, so I will have to pay 25.000.
By the way, I copy here the last answer of one of this agencies:
"Yes, if you have tourist visa then your option will be volunteer visa
25K for 3 months
And let me clarify. If you start process now, your valid date of your visa will start after 26th September
I think you shouldn't wait until close to 26th August because the visa will take time to proceed around 1 month
So if you want to apply, we recommend you to apply as soon as possible since your visa will start after 26th September anyway"

It would be, but it's a risk to wait until that moment.

To pay 25.000 bahts.

One option is to get an education visa obviously. Some schools can help you apply for the visa inside Thailand for an extra fee.
Or, if you are a digital freelancer or run an online business, you can apply for a business visa with an umbrella company called Shelter (shelter dot global). I know several people who were able to switch their tourist visas for business visas in Bangkok, without having to leave the country.
Alternatively, if you have the funds, you can buy the Elite Visa for a 5-year stay.
Those are the only three options I am aware of.
Another option is to pay for a Volunteer Visa. I asked Thai Visa Centre and the price for 3 months is 25.000 bahts, too much. One year is 35.000.
I want to be until mid december, so I'm interested in only 3 months. I will start to ask schools if is possible a 3 months course and the Student Visa.
This time I don't risk, I think there will be no more extensions

I have a tourist visa, I read that you can apply for the student visa studying for 3 months or longer.
If I can't, I will be again in the agent market.

Hello, I have the visa until the 26th of september, and I would like to be here until mid december, so this time I will not wait until the last minute. I would like an student visa for 3 months, I want to study thai language, it's not much time but it would be an start. I found in google some option to study thai 3 months for 18.000 bahts, and then I know that I will have to pay an extra to get the student visa within the country. Any recommendation? By the way, I read some news about some eases about the student visa, will it be possible to get the student visa inside Thailand legally?

I am a tourist in Thailand, and my travel insurance ended, I am looking for a new one, looking for the better quality price option. Can I get a travel insurance of a thai company? For example Muang Thai. I don't know if they ask for a long visa or something, I have until the 26th of september and I want to get and student visa for the next months.

I live in Bangkok. Until now I only watched english movies with thai subtitles, but now I don't know how is it in a korean movie.
-
Hello, tomorrow is the opening day of a korean movie here in Thailand: Train to Busan 2: Peninsula. I want to watch it, but I don't understand thai, so I was wondering if a korean movie like this, which is quite famous, could have subtitles in english in some screenings. In google I see standar and thai dubbed, so I guess standard is thai subtitles. In that case, someone who don't speaks korean or thai can't watch the movie.

The previous visa announcement was 22 april, the 2nd friday before the deadline. I will wait till this date personally.
The previous visa amnesty announcement was 21th april at 7:30 pm moreless, it was a tuesday after the cabinet meeting. I think the next tuesday, 21th july must be the great day.

I asked if the volunteer visa arrives before the 31, and they answer me this:
"The process will take around 3-4 weeks and we can't confirm you will get it back by that time. Once we send your passport to immigration you will be ok to stay in Thailand even though the Amenesty visa is expired."
-
Do you know how long does it takes to get the volunteer visa?
Once you pay 25,000, it seems better 35,000, but my idea is to stay 3 more months, maybe four, in my case I think it does'nt deserve to pay 10.000 more bahts for an hypothetical fourth month, 10.000 bahts are 278€.

The VOLUNTEER VISA process would be as follows
(This visa does NOT allow you to WORK in Thailand!)• 3 Month Visa for Non-IMM (from TR/arrival/amnesty) - ฿25,000
• 1 Year Volunteer Visa - ฿35,000= ฿60,000 for 15 months (takes 3-4 weeks)
OR if you entered on a Non-B, ED, Non-IMM, or NON-O visa then it would be- 1 Year Volunteer Extension - ฿35,000
- Addition fee to cancel out ED or Work Permit - ฿2,000 to ฿5,000 (case by case)
= ~฿37,000 (takes 1 week)Once you already have the long term visa yearly extensions would only be ฿35,000
If you need Multiple entry its an additional ฿4,000, and a single reentry permit is ฿1,200.
We handle all requirements, and only need passport + two photos.
If you are in Bangkok, you can request us to pickup/drop off passport from you, or you may stop by our office ( g.page/thaivisacentre )
If you are outside of Bangkok you can mail passport and photos to our office by EMS (ThaiPost / Kerry).
They sent me this info. The question is, if the they don't extend again, to be 40 days in overstay is 20.000 bahts and very risky. So, it's like a lotery, maybe you pay 25.000 bahts for 3 months and the next day they announce 3 more months of amnesty hehe. My idea would be to stay until the end of october moreless.

from a friend, i just waiting for the official confirmation, but iam pretty sure its correct
Will be today the official confirmation? And who is your friend? How does he know about that?
If they confirm that, definitely I would go to celebrate.
The last amnesty was announced on a tuesday at 7 PM moreless.
I asked Richard Barrow on Twitter and he answer me:
"Hopefully there will be an announcement this week - they might be offering a new visa for a fee"
-
What is a volunteer visa? I am very interested in that 3 month visa. Where can I get? Can I get before the 31th of july?
-
Thank you, but I want to study in Bangkok, Pattaya is not an option for me.
-
I am very pessimistic, I want to be here for some more months and I don't see any chance to stay in Thailand, only overstay, I don't see any possible extension again, it's late for the student visa, and the overstay it's very risky. I have one more month of renting, and maybe I will have to leave, and if I overstay it's very risky, and I have that document, the TM30, so I am registered and maybe they could catch you because that. <deleted>!

Their branches in Silom, Lad Prao and the resort town of Hua Hin, But for ED Visa they run process at Hua Hin.I asked by Line and they answer me:
"Unfortunately, we have been informed by immigration that we are unable to process any more education visas before the amnesty expires. This means we are very sorry but it won't be possible for you to get an education visa. If the situation changes, we will get back to you. If anything changes with immigration, I will let you know. I hope you get something sorted"

i'm not sure about this, but The some language school said that they need to send your application to the Ministry of Education and it takes about 2 weeks to get your application back and then they need to go to the immigration for convert your current visa to your education visa. So it's might be possible.
i would like to say that you should contact to the language school asap for they check your passport and tell exactly details to you.Which school do you recommend? Thank u!
