Yes a passport photo, extension visa form and form landlord signs about stay available from immigration office, plus copy of incoming stamp on visa and passport. No covid details. Plus wear a mask!

You'll need copies and forms. Visit to check and for 3 baht get copies there and try for 3 pm when not busy. Otherwise expect a wait.....

I compared the 2 you mentioned and others and find Remitly the best as they don't increase their fee depending on how much, plus it's in your bank in minutes. Your exchange rate is weaker but less delay, depending on your need, as rates vary every day.

I know it was a few months back but it like operates limited hours like 10 am to 4 pm. Flights arriving outside this and passengers get ripped for 200 baht even though their meter. Strange there's a sign at DM says report any meter taxis charging set rates. I looked for someone else to share 200 fee and luckily our hotels not far apart

I presume mini bus to border from Hat Yai bus station? I did check that out for something to do as stayed at train station motel and a motel closer to airport before heading to Singapore who now require a fee to enter. I was in transit.

I have said here before in July I did this. No covid issues just have a copy of vacs handy. I stayed at Udon caught a 11 baht train at 7am to Nong and 100 baht taxi to border checkpoint. By 8 am border open and I was over and back in an hour and cheap mini buses run regularly back to Udon near checkpoint. Buses into Laos like 20 baht one way, 30 baht back. I got asked where I was staying in Laos, but said I was in Laos one day but not overnight. I did have e visa into Laos paid and copy before I arrived Laos. Best option for less hastle. Flew to Udon from DM. Taxis to and from airport Udon 200 baht.

There was a post earlier this year a business "Meesuk" were doing it from Bangkok. Price 3500.

Is this airport with proximity to Pattaya currently used by any airlines? Air Asia flew there from KL awhile back. Was an alternative to DM. They began with a few daily's but eventually one. Probably none now.

Delivery drivers and motor bike taxis returning to their post everyday are dangerous. About time they got hefty fines as well.

I used to rely on WU from Australia to Thailand and had many years of success. Had to change account a few times as uncertainty receiver being Thai. Now have Thai bank account I use remitly. Gave up on WU even though usually best exchange rate but takes up to a day and longer over weekend. Remitly if you specify account, exchange rate not so good but for 100 baht or alternative, it's in account within 5 minutes. Delay once was Thai bank but a few hours not a day or longer with WU.

I weighed up KL but you still have an overnight stay if you're not staying in Bangkok prior to flight to get an early flight from DM and back same day. Train in and out KL if you stay not free.

Typical rhetoric from IO. Why this and why that and why long queues. Surely passport history is on their screen. Delays just cause frustration, but relief, once through, to go collect baggage while it goes round and round for someone else to collect by mistake.

I went to Laos, via staying overnight, after a flight to Udon. A train leaves in the morning around 7am cost 11 baht to nong Khai. I could have walked to border but a tuk tuk came for about 50 baht. It cost 30 baht bus to and from border. I dealt with how many days in Laos, to which I replied one day. Being same day IO both sides frowned but move me on. I was back in Nong Khai within an hour, lucky to be near departure times on both sides. A mini van leaves for Udon near border near 7/11. Cost from memory maybe, 200 baht. Maybe 500. Flight from DM around 1000 both ways with air Asia. Better than hours in mini van or bus. Motel 500 baht. Taxi to and from airport 200 baht. Before 5 pm bus to Udon 80 baht. I stayed in Udon 3 nights with uncertainty if need stay Vientiane one night. Not many either side at border. Border Thai opens 8 am and after an hour train was open on arrival. But go Udon one day and stay one night to catch early train and be back in time following day for arvo flight back to DM second day. Better than 5000 baht. Bus from Pattaya to DM 180 baht. Best BTS DM to BKK and bus from BKK to Pattaya 130 baht. Buses from Mo Chit only 2 hourly. Every hour from Suvarnabhumi to Pattaya.

Somebody posted here Meesuk, whoever they are, do border runs from Bangkok for 3500 baht.

As you leave DM airport head to regular train station. Via some paths down a road a few hundred metres to enter DM BTS from far side. Alternative where taxis drop off for train station there's an entrance a few hundred metres prior. I chose the A1 but Buses to Pattaya from Mo Chit only 2 hourly ATM. Maybe the walk to the DM BTS then to Suvarnabhumi quicker.

Oh the rhetoric from IO. Must be struggling for convo at home. Go through the motions and move on to next person in line. Any wonder there's snake queues. Where are robots when you need them!
