There is a way to protect against a thief getting into your iCloud account so that you can erase the phone before they rip you off. It's in the settings menu under "screentime." I suspect you're at more risk not using an iPhone but you're at no risk if you just don't tempt the devil. It's not like I'm doing high finance.

I used to have mobile banking apps on my phone until I read a column in the Wall Street Journal recently about how people are having their bank accounts raided by people after their iPhone is stolen. The iPhone's passcode is no obstacle as they have already acquired it prior to the theft and by the time you try and erase everything, you've been locked out of your iCloud account and Apple can't help. A couple of the victims featured had lost tens of thousands as I recall. Frightening.

Has the "Ukrainien-Fewer" reached Thailand?

You ever done laundry by hand? It's enough to make you declare war on your neighbor, commit war crimes and loot the country of its washing machines. One hopes that one day the Russian elite put Putin through the wringer. I'd love to see a Qaddafi -style end given his fear of homosexuals. -

I'm certainly no liberal but that's just the craziest, bat shootiest idea out there. Of course there's a liberal argument against child sex-trafficking. -
Nonsense it is in a fabulous place with three high end hotels close by. The place has been hammered by Covid sadly and the loss of tourist groups. It has opened up a little more in the last two months but until the Chinese and Koreans come back in similar numbers, it won't be the same. I walk home past it every night around 11pm or midnight and the foot traffic is just a fraction of three years ago. It used to be hard some nights to get a taxi in Bang Kho Laem without the driver insisting no meter because at Asiatique, it's the norm.

No, they filter the respiratory droplets and aerosols that carry the virus particles not water vapor. Water vapor is water in its gaseous state and N95 masks do not filter vapors. Those are much too small. Just think about the molar weight of ozone, much bigger than water vapor, and N95s can't filter anywhere close to that. I had to wear a respirator in a hood on the few occasions I worked with gases.

Corona "Over-Vaccination" ???
Thai Visa Member 999999 replied to swissie's topic in Health and Medicine
This is what you should be concerned about. Unless you're near 100, work in a high-risk environment and have a weakened immune system, you're likely over-vaccinated. https://www.science.org/doi/10.1126/sciimmunol.ade2798 -

There's also the Charles Schwab debit card. They refund your atm fees at the beginning of each month. It's pretty easy and free to transfer money to your CS account from an external US bank account. You don't have to hold any stocks or bonds with them to use it. -

I'm sorry I don't have any info but condolences. Just did it with my boy of 15 years and it's a real gut punch. Good luck finding something that suits you and glad your little pooch went out fast. Nothing worse than seeing your best friend suffer day after day. Take care. -
Ubon Joe, I always stay at my condo during my 90 day stays with a STV. I never file a TM30 and they seem to know where I am staying because, I assume, that's what I write on my TM6 when I pass through Passport Control. They have never asked me to file a TM30 at CW for all this time. With no TM6 now, do I need to file a TM30 when I arrive or is it not really necessary for those staying on a short-term basis? Thanks.

My friend is applying for a non O-A visa and is stuck at the upload documents stage. You have to upload "visa application" form along with your "additional application" form but where do you find the visa application form? I can't find it on the Thai DC web site anywhere for him. Thanks for your help.

Looking to Rent in BKK, between airport + good surrounding

Why don't you take a look at the property rental web sites? If you pay 20K/month, you'll have plenty of candidates and then can select given what areas best suit your criteria. I think all the web sites have a "proximity to MRT/BTS" filter to assist you. Good luck.
