Are you bitter about western women?
JensenZ replied to Cornish Pasty's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
You're commenting on "judgment and moral compass", when all you talk about is "banging" Caucasian women (guessing that's what you mean). Where's your moral compass when you treat women as sex objects to bang? You don't have to like women to bang them, just as you don't need to like prostitutes for a bang. You're also quite ignorant about the difference between Utopia (Thailand) and whatever <deleted>hole you're from. I'm 66, so my days of "banging" attractive young Caucasian women are long past unless I visit a local brothel in Farangland and pay through the nose. -
Thailand’s Losing Its Edge — Is Vietnam the Next Real Deal?

Funny this, funny that. The only thing I find amusing is that you're making comments without any evidence to support them. The Thai baht fluctuates against all other currencies, but it's not the reason why tourists aren't coming. For 2024, Thailand was the 8th most visited country in the world, with 39.8 million tourists. Numbers were down by 2.7% in the first quarter of this year, with a steep decline in May. You might focus on other reasons for the decline. The weather might be one reason, as May-June was the worst, wettest weather I've ever seen in Thailand for 20 years (for this time of year). Tourists are able to read weather reports, and no one wants to visit a country where it is raining heavily every day. Then take a look at what has been going on in the world since Trump's "Liberation Day" on April 2. A lot of economies are suffering. There's a lot of geopolitical tension and serious wars brewing. -
I take care family. Are bargirls really good mothers?
JensenZ replied to MalcolmB's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
You've spent full days in gentlemen's clubs and other bars to tally how often the girls are going on jobs? How do you get time to post? You've got a problem and should seek help. You can't judge the general bar girl population by the prettiest girls. On average, girls are making very little money. For every "prettiest girl", there are hundreds of low earners. But your suggestion that the prettiest girls are doing 4-6 per day is hogwash. The high-demand girls are looking for big spenders, not frequent turnover. What is obvious is that you have a vivid imagination. -

I'll focus on the Thai baht. Take a look at the USD/THB chart, and you'll see the THB is trading at about the average price for the last 14 years (against the USD). People visit Thailand from all over the world, and some currencies have done better against the baht historically, but it's not a reason not to visit Thailand. -
I take care family. Are bargirls really good mothers?
JensenZ replied to MalcolmB's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Anyone who thinks most of these girls have rented to thousands has not been to Thailand and doesn't have a clue. If you visit Pattaya, where a large number of girls are for hire, it's obvious that most of these girls have a very hard time reaching one rental a month if they are lucky. The customer-to-girl ratio is very low, especially now in the low season, and the competition is steep. It's not a good way for most to make money. Most of them are just trying to get some drink commission, and most end up leaving and going back to their provinces due to a lack of business and "no money". The only reason the place is loaded with girls is that so many come to try, and most fail. They hear about the success stories and want to try for themselves to win the jackpot. It's quite sad to see how they struggle to make money. If expats and tourists stopped thinking with their penises and used their brains, they would know what really goes on. -

It's quite a dumb question. They are not kept women. Most had children before they entered bar service and took on the work in a desperate struggle to support their children AND their family. Most are uneducated and don't have many options, and often they are pushed into this work by their parents. Whatever you may think of them as SINGLE mothers, did you not consider how good the fathers are? The men who p*ssed off and left the mother with all the responsibilities. -

Thailand’s Losing Its Edge — Is Vietnam the Next Real Deal?

I'd never been to parks before, but last week I visited Pattaya Park. It cost 500 for me and 300 each for my 4 Thai guests to ride in the cable car. You can get the Thai price if you present a Thai driver's licence. At the Sanctuary of Truth, the Thai people were charged the same as foreigners - 500 baht. I think expats and tourists are looking at this the wrong way around. The locals should get a discount when visiting tourist attractions, as they do in many international tourist locations. -

Could it be you've been in Thailand too long and you've lost your smile? I don't go around smiling at people, so I don't care if other people are smiling or not; however, I'm living outside of the tourist area at the moment, and people are friendly enough. I only see a tourist or foreigner a few times a week. The locals smile quite a bit. -

Yes, it does. What other countries call people who obtained citizenship is irrelevant. -
Yes, I took note of the full cream option. Will have to try it.
-
Yes, that is cheap, but I was critiquing the NZ full cream milk powder, not low-fat options. I wanted to taste the difference between full cream Meiji and the NZ product another member suggested, and it was a lot more expensive than your Richie brand. The difference, mixed at full strength and the Meiji milk was not worth the bother. I only buy full-cream milk, but I see that there are a lot of options available now that were not available about a year ago.
-
I bought some a while ago and tested it. It doesn't taste the same as the fresh Meiji, but it is just as good. I enjoyed it. I was surprised. Powdered milk technology has come a long way since I last tasted powdered milk, many years ago. ... however, as much as I enjoyed it, I also enjoy fresh milk, so I won't be switching to it. It's too much hassle ordering it and mixing it, for very little cost benefit.

225 baht for 5 litres - same price everywhere, except Friendship, which charges 225.25.
-
Which was a big mistake, because there was some accountability.

Given your constant complaints about Trump, it's clear that you want your predictions to come true. However, why not wait and see what happens, and enjoy your retirement in Thailand? Whatever happens will happen, and there's nothing you can do about it. I predict you are wrong, but you'll never run out of other reasons to whine about Trump.

My GF's mortgage was 2200 for 5 years, but it recently went up to 3400, and she will refinance. The condo has 2 bedrooms and is quite livable; in fact, I'm living in it at the moment. I had to do a bit of renovation and buy some new appliances and furniture. I don't know if it's an advantage or a disadvantage, but I never see tourists or foreigners in this area, and it's only 2km from the beach and 5km from Central Pattaya. It's quite a change for me as I lived in the heart of the tourist area in Pattaya for nearly 20 years. There is no support - she has no family to support, and she doesn't have children, and she works full time, and even owns a car. Come on, guys, you should be smart enough to know if a girl is really into you or she's playing you for cash... unless you're a newbie. The good ones don't just fall into your lap - it takes a big effort to find what you're looking for if you know what you're looking for... and you could spend (I call it invest) quite a bit of money along the way too, but it can be fun if you have the right attitude. Tip for the day: You won't find them in beer bars, gogo bars, or in massage shops, and even on the dating apps, a large percentage are freelancers and work in bars. Tip #2: I go for non-English speakers who don't have experience with other foreign men.

Report True Network Outage Due to Power Failure, Compensation Announced

I got the SMS, but I don't need the compensatory gift. Who needs 10 GB to use in 24 hours, and who needs to make calls these days? -
I hear nothing about diabetes. Here's some basic information, which is worth exploring: AI overview: "Diabetics may need to urinate more frequently than non-diabetics, potentially multiple times a day, due to the body's attempt to eliminate excess glucose in the urine. While a normal person may urinate 4-7 times a day, a diabetic may urinate more than 10 times. This increased frequency can be a sign of diabetes or other conditions, like high blood pressure or kidney issues"

I've been here for 20 years, and haven't noticed any difference at all... in fact, there have been people on here who have been whining about the decline of the Thai smile for the last 20 years I've been on this forum. Having said that, worrying about how much people are smiling at you is quite weird. I prefer no smile to fake smiles, and don't care too much if people smile or not.

Tourism Tourism Shock: Thailand's Visitor Numbers See Alarming Plunge
JensenZ replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I visited the Sanctuary of Truth in late January, which was crowded. They cherry-pick a photo with few people in it, near losing time or opening time, perhaps. -
