  1. You can only think God is not trustworthy if you think it's his duty to do your wishes. Did you ever think that giving you what you want could hurt someone else? A crude example. You're in a trade. You've invested big money in this trade. It's going south and you're facing huge losses. If you prayed for God to save your investment, that can only happen if other people lose. It's zero sum. Helping you would hurt others... yet if you prayed and lost you might question God's trustworthiness. God is not a slave to your desires. Perhaps you could give a specific example of when God was not trustworthy, from your point of view.
  2. I doubt that. You're too busy trying to rack up your post count and shagging to ever get out LOL
  3. it's a sure thing they were scamming for cash on the spot. Tell them you're happy to complete the transaction at the cop station and see what happens. There's always a lot of people like you suggesting what the law might be, but it's about policy, not law, and the current policy is that a copy of your passport will suffice. If you want to run around with your passport in your pocket, that's your choice, but mine never leaves the house (locked in safe) unless it's for the immigration office or to show at the bank.
  4. I never forget this advice from my lawyer. They mentioned that passports handed to cops have gone missing too... probably belonging to people who refused to pay.
  5. If they insisted on a cash payment on the street I'd ask them to take me to the police station so I can get a proper fine and receipt. Also an interpreter and a phone call to my lawyer. If they paid 3000 baht, they were fools. My lawyer gave me advice NEVER to hand a passport to a cop. They can be used to leverage huge "fines" and it's best to tell them the passport is at your lawyer's office. Never make it easy for them.
  6. That 7Eleven has been there for years. You should cut back on Asean Now and get out once in a while.
  7. Whoever writes these reports - it would be appreciated if you could reduce your use of adjectives and adverbs. It is unnecessary. You're reporting news, not writing a novel.
  8. How can you stop a train for a minor malfunction when trains are following on the same track at 2 - 10 minute intervals? Posting a staff member at the faulty door was the correct procedure. Holding up the whole transportation network over one faulty door would be absurd.
  9. So you can't cure the gonorrhea, but you live forever? It might be worth it LOL All bare-backers should at least read this. Drug resistant gonorrhea is a real problem globally. Multi drug-resistant gonorrhea
  10. That's like complaining about fat in ice cream, or fat in bacon. Sausages ain't health food. You eat them for the experience, not their health benefits.
  11. If a report is made that a body is found in a carpark with a suicide note next to it, murder is a possibility, and that's how it was stated in my post. It was not an assertion of fact. I don't investigate these media reports - I base my posts on what I read in these threads and links provided. Now it has come to light that he jumped from a building. That's a different story entirely, but still, there are 3 possibilities when people fall from bulidings: 1. They jumped 2. They slipped and fell 3. They were pushed Regarding suicide notes - they can be typed. That's what I would have done if I wanted to make it clear I intentionally jumped.
  12. You go first - post something useful other than one line nonsense. Back up everything you claim with links.
  13. Thanks! I read your post above after I had already replied. Strange that they left out this little fact, that he jumped. Then of course, the common question comes to mind - did he jump or was he pushed?
  14. You keep trying to back up your original wrong assessment with more nonsense. In Pattaya the Subways, MacDonalds, KFCs, Japanese, Indian, pizza restaurants and many other foreign francises are packed with foreigners taking a break from cheap Thai food.
  15. Judging by what you post on this forum, you've set the low bar for limitations of mind. No one goes to a car park to overdose - that's a ridiculous suggestion. I have no idea what building jumping has to do with a carpark - care to explain? If he jumped from a building into a carpark, that would have been reported as such. When is the last time you heard of someone going to a carpark to suicide? Murders disguised as suicides are certainly not unique. Now please, stop posting while you are shagging.
  16. I can't think of any circumstances where a person would suicide in a carpark unless he was in his own car or a rental. The story is his body was found in a carpark, not in a car. The only likely scenario is his body was dumped there. A very thorough investigation is required, and the mother is doing what any parent would do in this situation. The RTP don't care - they want this over and done with quickly. The last thing they want is a story about a young tourist being murdered on the streets of Bangkok getting out.
  17. Mental acuity, reflexes and eyesight vary with individuals, so age alone should not be a factor in the decision to drive or not. One person could be a risk at 60, another not until 80 or older.
  18. and with cbd, keep a very close eye on liver function. This is especially important for a recovering alcoholic that might have already caused extensive damage to the liver over years of alcohol abuse. Even moderately compromised liver function would not be a good starting point for cbd use. With any drug use the liver function should be closely monitored in the OP's case. Liver function tests are cheap and easy in Thailand.
  19. Yet the bombing of Hisoshima and Nagasaki did not end it. It was the Soviet declaration of war on Japan that ended it, but to save face the Japanese blamed the nukes. The events that lead to their surrender are quite complex.
  20. Yeah, and if Putin was assassinated, the chances are even higher that they'll end up with someone worse. That would be a perfect excuse for someone tougher to rise to the fore.
  21. Another common prediction is that if Putin is replaced, his successor will be even more tyrannical and the situation will get worse. Russian has had a lot worse than Putin over its checkered past.
  22. When you were 17 you thought a 19 year old was an older woman, so later on you left her for someone of your own age? LOL Your question: "do you want a 95 year old wife when you are 70?" That's not likely to happen, but the question should be: does your wife want a 55 year old husband when she's 30 or a 65 year old husband when she is 40? Apart from possible financial benefits the answer is "no thanks". I hate the break the news, but it's unlikely a female 25 years younger than you is attracted to you for your looks or vitality. Get real - you're buying a younger partner. If you start quite young with a big age gap, you'll find the gap widens as you age.
  23. The point is that love is blind. Also, the girl could be worth it AND the value of 1 million baht is relative to a person's financial status. Each case is unique. Do we criticize people spending millions on an engagement ring. What's the difference? What about people spending millions on a wedding? There are wedding dresses that cost more than $1 million.
  24. You could do us all a favour and wear a T-shirt: "I'm Bob Smith from Asean Now" so we can avoid inadvertently talking to you. I don't have a lot of time for sanctimonious, bigoted, self-righteous people who think they are better than everyone else. An attitude like that puts you beneath the people you're criticizing.
