Trump found guilty of 34 counts of falsifying business records
Walker88 replied to webfact's topic in World News
Actually, he's right. Georgia is one State where officials did exactly as he noted, though the felon still lost the State and the State went 2 for 2 re Dem Senators. They also added a law that said no one can provide water to anyone standing in line to vote. Water is something useful when all the polling places in your area are closed and that necessitates standing in line for hours. Still, real American patriots endure hours in line to vote against the now-convicted felon and for candidates who believe in US ideals like democracy. Texas removed drop boxes for mail in votes anywhere near where the population is predominantly Black. Seems rather anti-democratic, which is another way of saying Republican. -

He does not need me to stick up for him, but I feel compelled to say not only is he American, he is a rather successful entrepreneur. Rather is an understatement. Think mid 12 figure net worth. In dollars. That kind of dosh can provide for a comfortable lifestyle. The felon wishes he had that kind of wealth. As for Harvard, while there are some grads who do not like convicted felons as Presidents, perhaps you are unaware that it also churned out Jared, Bannon, Cruz and Tom Cotton. I don't think any of them qualifies as an anti-felon (although Jared might be now that the Saudis have taken care of his future). -

Apparently I am a blasphemer according to his chosen faith, because I do not believe a convicted felon, a guy who tried to halt the peaceful transfer of power, and a guy who recklessly jeopardized national security by stealing troves of classified documents, has any business being President. That guy stalks me as if my vote alone will carry 5 swing states. Let me just state for the record (and his peace of mind), I am not now, nor have I ever been, a party to a Fake Elector Scheme. The felon cannot say the same thing. Each of us is entitled to our opinion, and we each get one vote this November. Just one. -

And lest we forget, the felon took out a full page ad in the NYT to demand the execution of the Central Park Five (all Black men). The felon held his ground, still demanding execution, even after DNA evidence exonerated all five men. The same guy whining about "UNFAIR" after having gone through the actual judicial process and been found guilty by a jury of his peers demanded five Black men be executed for a crime they did not even commit. To rational people, THAT would seem UNFAIR, besides being racist. -

It comes as no surprise that the felon's base is doubling down and sticking with him, despite 34 felony convictions so far, with more to come if the trials ever see the light of day. They cannot be saved, though some were likely culled from the herd when they took up the stable genius' Lysol Covid cure. Who are those people...the kind who sometimes wear the "I'd Rather Be Russian than Democrat", or "He can Grab My Pussy" t-shirts, or who wear a Camp Auschwitz sweatshirt to an insurrection? Well, from the felon's rallies, we know he owns QAnon, those people who are convinced Hillary Clinton, Tom Hanks and others kidnap, rape, roast and eat babies. The Q's banners and other paraphrenalia are ubiquitous at his rallies. One certainly has to question their sanity and intelligence, though in America neither is a requirement to be allowed to cast a vote. And although one member has accused me of being a Neo Nazi simply because of the number that was on my university football jersey (88, which unbeknownst to me is supposedly a NN symbol, owing to H being the 8th letter of the alphabet), it does seem the felon owns---I should say PROUDLY owns---the Neo Nazi demographic. Recall those tikitorcher marchers in Charlottesville a few years back. They're the folks who went to that city to protest the removal of statues to men who fought to protect their 'right' to hold other human beings in bondage. During a nighttime march, torches ablaze, they chanted "Jew will not replace us!". The felon referred to them later as "some very fine people". Slavery advocates and antisemites as very fine people? A year or two ago the felon invited Holocaust denier Nick Fuentes to dinner at the felon's country club. Holocaust denying was an outrage in the 1940s; in 2024 it is criminal (at least in Germany). Would you like more French Fries, Nick? I bet he, too, is a "very fine person". Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think President Biden ever sent out an invite to Nick Fuentes for a State Dinner at the White House. How about white supremacist and Neo Nazi Richard Spencer? A felon supporter all the way. Former Imperial Wizard of the KKK David Duke? He endorsed the felon in both 2016 and 2020, and although he has yet to make public his 2024 choice, Larry Hogan has a better chance of being the felon's ticket-mate than Biden has of getting Duke's endorsement. It would be a difficult search trying to find miscreants and societal low lifes who are NOT supporters of the felon. -

The whiny little anti-Democracy brats competing on Veepstakes Island, and fearful of getting 'voted off' if not unctuously sycophantic enough, have been such a kick the past few days. From "Little Marco" (the convicted felon gave him that nickname) to the guy whose father was in on the JFK assassination (a claim from the convicted felon), they also seem to be trying to compete for an Oscar, though they all make Daryl Hannah look like Kate Hepburn. After watching a roundup of all their groveling, it struck me that they're like the B-List Hollywood actress, pulled over by a cop for drunk driving, who screams "Don't you know who I am!" Total lack of personal pride also seems to be a necessary qualification to be allowed to remain in the Veepstakes Island bungalow. Leave your self-respect at the bamboo door and don't change out of your grass skirt! The late night comedian Jimmy Kimmel noted a moment from a show back during the primary season in 2016 where his guest was Ted Cruz. Cruz had been told by the felon that "your wife is ugly"...as well as "you and she are owned by Goldman Sachs" (for whom Cruz' wife worked). Cruz had also been featured as part of the infamous Pecker deal between the National Enquirer and the convicted felon, where the tabloid had run an article claiming Cruz' dad was a co-conspirator in the JFK assassination. Kimmel asked Cruz what he thought of his opponent in the primary, to which Cruz responded, "If I got in my car and saw him (the convicted felon) in my back-up camera, I'm not sure which pedal I would push". Now Cruz is vying for (another Kimmel quote) "lip space on the guy's pimply arse" Gives a whole new meaning to the phrase "the pride goeth before the fall". -

May HAVE, not may of. Geez. Perhaps you did not notice the silly post you responded to was removed. That guy thinks he has profiled me by making assumptions based on the number on my university football shirt. That is simply bizarre. He doesn't even know my ethnic makeup, and he puts me out as some white supremacist. THAT is funny. As for you, you seem to make up stuff as you go along, like "legend" "dismissed" "desk jockey" '"boast" etc. None came from me, either express or implied. In a long ago thread I first noted my former association as an agency case officer, also sometimes called field officer or ops officer. It was pertinent to that thread, and as I am totally anonymous, plus resigned not undercover, I am free to mention it as I please. I did my job. Out there. Against the terror target primarily. I was not dismissed, but chose to leave to pursue another career, and because my position put family at risk. I lost friends to terror while we were both in the field. That happens, no boo hoo, but I cannot stomach a never served draft dodger who calls such people "suckers and losers", as Gen Kelly has attested. Point out a single boast I made. Point out ANYTHING that suggests I think I'm sort sort of legend. You cannot. That's your attempt at trolling. Your reasons for doing that are yours, but they do not say much good about your level of personal confidence or the level of your insecurity. Yes, I do not like the convicted felon. I am an actual patriot, not someone who thinks humping the flag fools anyone other than fools. I don't like loser crybabies who tried to subvert democracy and the very ideals on which the US was founded. I don't like guys who are reckless and wildly cavalier with the nations secrets, and who risk exposure of the very people with whom I recruited and handled as a case officer in the agency. Those brave people are owed our total support, as their lives and the lives of their families are literally at risk. You wrote earlier about 'real men'. Do you even have the slightest clue what that means? To the Mods: I apologize if this goes against Forum rules. I would be grateful if you would allow it. I would hope I have the right to respond to such silliness. If not, I accept your decision. -

Facts make no sense? That was my list, from UE numbers to growth, etc. The numbers are all taken from USG websites such as Dept of Labor, Dept of Commerce, BLS, BEA, OMB, etc. I answered your question in another post. -

Didn't forget about Covid. Fortunately, I didn't take his advice for injecting Lysol ! Even before Covid his record was mediocre. Covid, and his mishandling of it, made it a disaster. Obama's job growth and stock market performance dwarfed his, even before Covid. Just because he continually claimed "best ever' doesn't make it anymore factural than him claiming he's, like, a really stable genius. As for inflation, not sure how much economics you've studied, but what do you think would be the result of printing $25,000 for every man, woman and child in the US? One doesn't need a Nobel in Econ to guess the answer is "Inflation". An $8,400,000,000,000 all-in addition to the National debt is equal to that $25,000. -

This always seem to be forgotten, both on this Forum and by many Americans (though I assume the ones who forget are in the lower economic strata and lack the skills to offer value in the modern, tech economy) When the convicted felon entered office: 4.8% unemployment growing GDP $19 trillion National Debt When he left: 6.8% unemployment a Recession $27.5 trillion in National Debt First President since Herbert Hoover to leave office with fewer Americans employed than when entering office Rising trade deficit with China As for Biden, he inherited all that ^ American Carnage, but so far: *Highest GDP growth since the late 1990s *More job creation than under any POTUS ever *27 straight months of UE below 4%, something not seen since the 1960s *An Infrastructure Bill passed that is repairing roads, bridges, commo, airports, rails, etc. *Chips Act which resulted in first new chip plants in the US in 40 years *More oil production than ever by any country, with 9000 approved drilling leases waiting for someone to take them *800,000 newe manufacturing jobs *Lower prescription drug prices *Falling trade deficit with China -

Not sure if your comment falls into the category of "offensive" per the Forum rules. The mods will decide. (Not to be pedantic, but "of" is not a verb nor part of any verb construct. "must have" is correct, not "must of") Whenever these threads come up, I always try to ask the convicted felon's supporters to explain or rationalize such things as: *why he stole all those documents and what use a country club owner has for TS, SCI, SAP, SITK, Codeword, HCS and RD documents? (Yes, it's the patriot in me that is outraged by that idiotic recklessness) *how---even a claimed former Navy guy---could support a guy whose own Chief of Staff and a General who lost a son in Iraq said called the service members who died "suckers and losers"? I assume you were never in harm's way, so have no concept about what it's like to see a friend or colleague killed. *Why the convicted felon called his people to DC for the 6th Jan, told them to march to the Capitol and fight like hell, when all that was happening was a pro forma certification of his election loss? And now, since so many of his supporters are claiming 'weaponization', why it was okay for him to order his AG Barr to 'arrest and jail Biden and his family' shortly before the 2020 election? https://www.newsweek.com/donald-trump-calls-ag-barr-indict-joe-biden-26-days-until-election-1537518 -

So many Americans are working in the booming Biden economy, maybe they just don't have time to act like silly sycophants. The recovery from the massive 6.8% unemployment and the Recession left behind by the convicted felon is fading into just a bad memory. Oh, and the teenager won't be voting, so his excitement is meaningless. -

Oh yes...ONE WORD in a long hate-filled speech that clearly was intended to foment the very activity that followed. You still cannot answer WHY he called them to DC, what purpose they had marching to the Capitol, nor why he sat idle listening to chants to hang his Vice President. Oh, and why did he tell security to remove the metal detectors (which would identify those armed)? "They're not here to hurt me", he said. I guess it's no problem if someone carried weapons to the Capitol? Most people know why he did what he did. Fortunately he failed. Fortunately his VP followed the oath of office. -

The joke is, he could be sentenced to home detention, but that would qualify as 'cruel and unusual punishment'...for his 3rd wife. Merchan could also sentence the convicted felon to a number of hours of community service. Perhaps picking up garbage, like that left at one of his recent rallies: -

Look like he's got the brain-addled CTE crowd. Hardly an endorsement about which one should be proud. Still, they're not a majority, and today isn't Nov 6th, so it's a little early for any sort of victory lap. Keeping the convicted felon out of jail is probably best for Dems, since giving the convicted felon's increasingly bizarre statement air time can only benefit Joe. That presser the felon gave...WOW! One could almost hear the marbles knocking around up there. Congo jails? Oh my! As Jimmy Kimmel joked, the guy has so many screws loose Boeing is doing a recall. -

Never seen a Camp Auschwitz sweatshirt at a Biden rally. Did see that on the Mall at the convicted felon's rally on 6 January 2021. The 'very fine people' marching in Charlottesville and chanting "Jews will not replace us" were not HRC voters, and were there because they were offended that statues representing men who favored slavery were being taken down. So it seems slavery supporters and Jew haters are firmly on the convicted felon's supporter list. Maybe you can tell us what Holocaust Denier Nick Fuentes had for dinner when he dined at Mar-a-Lago with the country club's owner? How about whom NeoNazi Richard Spencer supports? Whom did David Duke, former Imperial Wizard of the KKK endorse in both 2016 and 2020? -

I guess if Biden wants to 'win support' by being more like the convicted felon, he can order AG Garland to arrest the convicted felon and his family and jail them, as the convicted felon told AG Barr to do re Biden and his family two weeks before the 2020 election. That kind of, sort of, maybe could be construed---with a bit of poetic license---as "weaponization", but since the US' own infallible Pope, Mother Teresa and Nelson Mandela thrown into one did it in 2020, it must be okay. So how much of the inflow will go to his campaign, and how much will be shifted to paying his legal bills and fines? I suspect Todd Blanche will owe Elon a lunch or two. Oh, and how many votes do Elon and Peter Thiel get? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think one. -

So I guess he REALLY Tweeted for them to come to DC saying "It'll be WILD!", and told them to "march to the Capitol" and "fight like hell" and "you'll never get your country back being weak", and "if Mike Pence does the right thing (sic)",,, were really just advice because the Capitol was having special sales on decorative logo'd coffee mugs and key chains? And why did he sit idle watching the violence on TV for 187 minutes, doing nothing and not calling out the National Guard---which he had sole authority to do? Why did he sit idle despite everyone watching around the world hearing "Hang Mike Pence!" and with the erected gallows visible for all to see? I do not expect a rational answer, so consider this just rhetorical. -

Go read---if it's still available online---Roger Ailes Business Plan for Fox. It is more cynical than I could be on my best day. It's no wonder they 'crush the competition'. They were specifically created to go after the low brow demographic. That is how Ailes sold the idea to Murdoch. Society's lesser lights were unable to understand news geared toward a more bright and educated demographic, so one orchestrated for simplicity would likely gather the entire low brow demographic. Individually they don't represent an attractive demo for advertisers, but collectively they do. I have heard, perhaps it's apocryphal, that one original tagline consideration was, "New For the Rest of Us". That is deliciously cynical. Ailes was 100% correct. -

I think I know where you're going with that. Of course, there was absolutely nothing to protest; he lost. Bigly. The day was merely the formal certification of his loss. Fortunately his VP had the courage and decency to abide by his oath of office, even if more than a hundred Repubs did not. Here's some fun: go listen to his Mall speech. For every time he says "peacefully", take a sip of water (one time). For every time he says "fight" or something equally aggressive, take a shot of Tequila. Unless you have a liver the size of a blue whale, best to have medical supervision. -

I did time on Wall Street, and he was considered a punchline to jokes. I also had many friends at Deutsche Bank who shared 'out of school' intel on him, his financial position, and his sources of funding. I wasn't cynical enough about my fellow citizens. I didn't think a career conman could fool them so easily. I have read enough history to know how conmen and autocrats operate, and how people one would think had zero charisma can draw in the forlorn and weak simply by telling them what they want/need to hear, and telling them everything bad is someone else' fault. I just assumed the people in the US were more clever. I was dead wrong. Re DB, think SIVs: (Special Investment Vehicles), carried OBS, where certain HNW individuals give DB funds to loan to clients of their choosing. Both sides know who the other is, including their nationality. It came as zero surprise to me that his AG, when the Mueller probe began, prohibited Mueller's team from looking into anything financial. I knew that of which the AG/Administration was afraid. -

Then you must have great "guns" (biceps). Those legal tomes are heavy. I appreciate your calm demeanor and factual input. You are much more even handed than I can be. It outrages me that someone can try to subvert democracy for purely selfish reasons, foment the sort of national disgrace that was 6 Jan 2021, and face absolutely no consequences (so far), plus be in a position (if he wins) to have it tossed out forever. My sense of fairness and patriotism prevent me from looking at that with anything less than total disgust. Also, that he jeopardized both national security and the identities of some truly brave people who cooperate as foreign clandestine intelligence assets is equally reprehensible....yet the same thing applies as stated in my first para: no consequences so far and a victory means he can wash it away---as well as do it again. I have repeatedly stated that if his supporters---private and elected---are okay with his documents theft, are they willing to publish every last document and send tomes bound in Moroccan leather to Putin, Xi, Kim, the mullahs of Iran, and whomever is the new leader of al Qaeda? If not, then he must face consequences for his actions.
