Get the Non O or the extension in November?

The amnesty ends Sept 26th, so on what basis are you staying between Sept - November.

The agents usually do the 90 day reports on your behalf because the extensions are often obtained at a different Immigration office to the Province you live in.

If you move Province, file a TM30 and submit the 90 day reports yourself at the new office.

I still have a 60 day extension in the tank. Actual O visa ends in Nov some time.

Yea, I'll have to learn the ropes a bit, all this is new to me.

  2. I'm dragged into the extension visa now after always being on a non o.

Ok, so I'm 50 and going onto a retirement visa. I'm going to be using an agent.

I plan to get this visa in Nov, but by April/May I could well be moving province. I assume I should tell the agent this. will it effect things in any way? I understand the agent also does the 90 day report (whatever that is) will it matter to the agent if I am no longer in the same area as the agent? Assume I would post it to the agent for this??

Thanks for any help.  A lot of hassle for living in a country where I don't even want to be any longer!

A couple of d!<k comments so far...

Real people getting separated by a government policy - its awful, unnecessary and absolutely horrible.

Those foreigners who are married (with a marriage certificate) can apply to return, but the process is convoluted and not everyone can afford it; in many cases only business class seat are available on repatriation flights and the ASQ hotels are not cheap (>30,000 baht for 15 days).

For others, not married, there is no current route back which is outrageous.

A horrible world situation has caught people out Thailand is not easing this burden at all by forcing them to remain apart.

Still beating that same drum, then. Sounds like you're abut to burst into tears?

Yeah, if I knew they wouldn't honour what they'd previously said about being dated after the 26th I'd have left it a little longer too but don't want to point out their error/duplicity as don't want to have my card marked for my upcoming extension.

Yea, in the bigger picture of a 1 year ext a few weeks is nothing really.

    Agreed.

Sunday it was 99 baht for chicken and 129 baht for pork. Add 40 baht if you think you can finish a large serving.

Great food at superb value - as is all of the food there.

Great value. The whole of Pattaya is great value for western food. Way cheaper than every other part of Thailand, and that includes Isaan.
