So speaks a man that hasn't even seen it but as usual cant be wrong. Yes it has been painted but it's not a different shade. I'm very fussy and I would never except anything that wasn't first class.

Suggest you look at my snap again then you can come back with the top of the wing is a different shade. I think you will find it's a bend in it that make it look different. Oh by the way also look at the Bonnet/Hood that's also a different shade.

That is very astute of you Mr Trans to pick that up and from a picture!

Giving up family and country for an American hand-me-down will ultimately bring much sadness to this young man's life similar to the pitiful life of his great-great-great uncle.

    This one is different

I really hope everything turns out okay for them both and not like some of the 'this one is different' marriages here. Harry has always been very popular with the UK Public. Megan stole the show and that Kate woman did not like it at all. She probably did rub the establishment up the wrong way, realised what a complete set of <deleted> some of them are and no doubt made her feelings known.

I married a Thai 'hand me down' as someone so eloquently put it, some 18 years ago now and have had a wonderful life with her

  3. Isn't the 28th tomorrow. It is very bad when Weather Forecasters don't seem to know what will be happening just a day or so ahead.

I thought that I had read somewhere that, reservoirs being full to almost overflowing and having to release vast quantities of water on those poor people downstream has happened a few times before.

  4. So if I understand correctly.

You are under 50 years old, in Thailand now, renting everything, considering marriage at some time. But concerned that you may be asked to leave Thailand and in doing so loose everything you have invested in here.

From other posts I see that you are considering going back to the USA to sort out your future inheritance  and have even asked BritManToo if he can find you a 'Dusky Maiden'.  Not sure if that last bit can be classed as exactly bright.

Here is a way to look at things and an option. You have youth on your side but what is available here is quite often related to what you can offer. So having cleared that up.

Go back to the USA and sort out your financial affairs. Don't sell up, if there is a house involved rent it out.

Come back, buy yourself a second hand Merc or BMW. Two million baht would get you one a couple of years old and quite presentable. Don't worry about having to leave it behind as in a few short years it will be worth <deleted> all anyway.

Pay just that little bit extra and rent a nice apartment. Tend to dress smart casual and in a very short time word will get around and your phone will be 'red hot'.

Then you will have the option to replace the nightly rented 'Dusky Maiden' with the 24/7/365 one.

But choose carefully, treat her well and you could have a great life, with luck! She will want some security for her future so you will have to consider that.

Myself and my now 'Aging Asian Babe' who I married many years ago and lived with in the UK for a some years are living out the rest of our yeas here. She is an avid golfer which for me is great.

Of course it could all turn to <deleted> for you.

Thanks again. Had it checked out, and it is working well. My building technician said this bottle trap is better than the p trap. Whilst we were in the bathroom I noticed the odor was more prominent from the new wc, and as there are no visible pipes/holes, he had a look with his camera, and there were 4 unsealed parts. He had now sealed these with silicone, and so far, (5 hours later), the smell has ceased.

I found those 4 round holes in our COTTO toilet and thought that was the cause of a smell I got sometimes. I eventually sorted that smell by completely removing the toilet and then refitting using the correct COTTO Kit. Thai plumbers always seem to throw away the important very sticky seal (gasket Big in pic) as it is difficult to use and they don't think it is necessary..

The only place that I have managed to find that kit is at the COTTO shop which is not that far from Don Muang Airport. The Kit is No2 in the pic and sealing around the bowl/floor join is also very important.

They were due to land 2 and half hours ago on a cheapo airline. Any information as to whether they have actually arrived?

Arrivals show that the plane landed at 17:10hrs. I was using the app Flightradar24 and have to admit that I didn't see that plane identified. Saw all the other flights that arrived around that time though.

I've been experiencing bad odor in my bathroom as well. I'm unsure what to do and have had contractors here to check it out. They were useless. When I use the exhaust fan in that room, with the door closed, I'm convinced it draws air in thru the pipes from outside. Since there is no P trap anywhere in my system it's the only conclusion I can come to. I hate it and am considering moving to be done with it all.

Do you have a floor drain? One of mine causes a smell if I don’t top the water up every few days.

It's not trapped wind as I didn't realize that the CT Scan included an xray, Xray did not show trapped wind, I've been to the hospital today to see the Cardiologist( he said to see him first if having further problem) he is 100% certain what I am experiencing is not connected to my heart, he seems too think that Acid Relfux could be the problem, everything he asked me makes him think this is the problem(he suffers from this) he suggested that I see a Stomach Specialist today or he will prescribe some medication to see if it sorts out the problem tonight, if it continues tonight then I will have to see Stomach doctor, the other problem is finance as everything so far has been OPD now cost me over 30,000bht if I lose my savings I dont know if I could survive here just on my pension, so more worry.

I had chest pain a while back. It was eventually put down to my GERD flaring up. So I took a 2nd generation PPI for a period and also 'coated my stomach' with Antacil Gel HH...don't use more than the recommended dose though, before eating.   It sorted my pain. Also at the time of the pain I was more breathless than I normally am. Breathlessness is pretty well back to normal now, I am led to believe that I have some COPD.

I asked for a treadmill just to be on the save side. Got into stage 4 and a -ve test result. He said you did over 10Mets which is fine for a 75 year old, your problem is not heart. I had a MI and a bypass at 48 years old and a stent fitted 4 or 5 years ago.  The treadmill was done about three weeks ago and cost 1500thb at CCIT.

I had the angiogram and stent fitted at CCIT (Central Chest Institute of Thailand). It was quite a long medicated stent. I think it cost 110,000thb in total and some of that was because I used the Extra Clinic to bypass a long waiting list.

Now I understand that some government hospitals apply a two tier system ...not sure about CCIT.

Got it checked at the garage they say the newer cars with all the electronic equipment are lucky to last 2 years even with a Ctek connected and reckons lifting the bonnet up is a waste of time but I have just had a battery fitted yesterday and just lifted the bonnet...mmm will see how long this lasts.

Heat is a killer as said many times in this topic. Keeping a battery fully charged prolong it's life. Guess the garage is a battery seller.

This is only 3km from home. Would like to know the details of how it leaked but no gossip at the moment.

It appears that there is no planning for this type of event even though there are many ice factories in the area but luckily this one was not in a fully residential location. From what I hear the "authorities" did not know how to deal with it.

I am somewhat surprised, even in Thailand, that each Ice factory does not some sort of emergency procedure for an ammonia leak. It is a very bad gas to have leakage. If you can't shut off the leakage then the only alternative is to spray a huge amount of water until the tank is empty and I read that several fire engines attended, and of course evacuate the area.

If the Officials, assume they mean those who came with the fire engines, as quoted above only had to wear protective clothing and not breathing apparatus then it can't have been much of a leak. That seems to be confirmed by those taking advantage of a photo opportunity! But wonder if they considered that the leak could have got worse at any time and quickly.

You are right, you need to know what happened and also what procedures will now be checked there and at other plants....Ammonia is 'kin dangerous.

Yeah I purchased a BMW late last year, did not rate it to be honest and promptly sold it... was a 2002 fitted with an SR20 engine.

Come on the OP was talking about a new car "How do you know when picking up a new car on the day that your getting the most recent 2020 model". You are talking about basically an 18 an year old car. Absolutely no comparison whatsoever between a new model and an eighteen year old one.

Normally we 'live and learn', so as we get older hope not to buy things, which after a very short time realise we wish we hadn't.

Might try color sanding and buffing, but if it's clear coat it might be tough. Tri a spot under the hood errr bonnet first...

It is not normal to have clear coat under the hood errr bonnet.

Clear coat thickness is normally determined by measuring the 'paint' thickness on a panel and the subtracting the measured 'paint' thickness under the bonnet/hood.

    Don't sand!

You will need a DA Polisher and suitable pads and polish 'compound'. Really best to take it to someone who knows ie a detailer. I can recommend you one, a friend, who place is on Vibhavadi Rangsit Road.
