typical Nation rehash of old news regurgitated by their puppets (and muppets lol)..
Is this what is called a Thai pension? My wife has been getting the 600thb/month since she was 60, I won't say how many years! And she tells me it will go up to 700thb/month if/when she reaches 70.
Is this what the nation is on about? If so why are they saying it is a new allowance? Or is it really something new?
Either way anyone who hasn't already registered better hurry up.
If it really is new then we will have it and give it to someone who really needs it.

Are you struggling with the DS-82, Section 13?
If so, I would ask the friend for ANY contact...
Thanks ... both in Thailand ... anyway now she has given me her daughters address in the US. Just have to start again filling the form in.

I can only help you by saying ... for grass areas that are always in the shade eg under tree coverage etc you need what is commonly known as Malay grass. It is not a very attractive grass in my opinion but many think different.

We are in Cha am. Staying in a hotel which I would call is on Beach Road not that far from the ICalm hotel and Pacific Sovereign hotel
Our hotel doesn’t have sky sports.
Can anyone recommend the nearest sports bar or whatever where I might watch the race please...tks -
You will find that many of the large transport companies use Condition Monitoring and strip engines down to examine for wear to decide Oil Change frequency for their fleet. 50,000 miles is not uncommon. However for those like us best to stick to the manufactures recommendation.

Our lawn has been neglected recently. Not only does it have quite a few weeds now but also a large patch of clover. So the guy has started pulling out the clover, see pic. Now I don't know if what he is doing is for the best or not. In the UK you could buy Clover Killer. Is there anything available in Thailand like that and also are there any selective weed killers available.
It does look like I may have to replace some turf where the clover is. The weeds can be pulled up after it has rained so not really such a big problem as the clover.
Any suggestions please.

No regrets...took VSS in 1993 aged 48. A few months later did contract work full time for GEC Alston.
Received index linked pension when age 50.
Continued with Alston and later with their client and later still reduced my hours. Finished in 2005 completely
Got married in 2002 and she came straightaway to live in UK.
Spent time golf..gym..travel etc
2007 came to live full time in Thailand and doing the same things.
I enjoyed working in the Electrical Supply Industry but don’t miss it at all. The biggest thing that I miss about the UK is sitting in the garden of a pub having lunch.

If you left to get a new visa, not even sure you could come back (even if you could, 14 days quarantine). Best if you can pay I think.

If they ensured that the government handouts went to the people who are really in need, it would be a very good start.
Same same, siphoned off before it gets to them, or they are not capable of claiming without a lot of assistance which they don’t get

While I am all for clean energy, EVs are not the answer since their carbon footprint, once everything taken into account, is probably larger than the one of a regular car.
The first issue, of course, is: how is the electricity used to power the cars produced?
With coal (in Thailand)...thank you very much!
Then there is the massive pollution generated by the making of the batteries (extraction of lithium or other rare element) and their discarding.
As far as transportation is concerned, a better plan would be to facilitate and encourage as much as possible the use of public transport (metro, train, bus...) and hybrid cars.
Not the latest figures but ....

It appears that they will issue a 1.5year bond at 6.5% pa BB+. and div paid every three months.
MIDA are a big company but I read this may be refinancing earlier bond issue.
Anyone have any more information please... this rate appears to be twice what other bond issues are offering at the moment.

Thanks guys. Have now completed the form and printed, also printed the check sheet along with a list of what to do next and given all to her. It has changed as in the past you made an appointment to go to the embassy.
