typical Nation rehash of old news regurgitated by their puppets (and muppets lol)..

Is this what is called a Thai pension?  My wife has been getting the 600thb/month since she was 60, I won't say how many years! And she tells me it will go up to 700thb/month if/when she reaches 70.

Is this what the nation is on about? If so why are they saying it is a new allowance? Or is it really something new?

Either way anyone who hasn't already registered better hurry up.

If it really is new then we will have it and give it to someone who really needs it.

    Where are you physically located?

Where is your friend physically located?

Are you struggling with the DS-82, Section 13?

If so, I would ask the friend for ANY contact...

    https://www.us-passport-service-guide.com/what-emergency-contacts-are-acceptable-on-the-application-form.html

Thanks ... both in Thailand ... anyway now she has given me her daughters address in the US. Just have to start again filling the form in.

  3. For a friend ....So I am filling out the 'by mail' application form. I get to who shall we contact in an emergency and it will only allow US States!! So stuck...guess I will have to ask her for someone in the US as I can't see a work around.

So some US person on ThaiVisa must have applied to renew their US Passport recently...how did you do it please?   tks

  4. I can only help you by saying ... for grass areas that are always in the shade eg under tree coverage etc you need what is commonly known as Malay grass. It is not a very attractive grass in my opinion but many think different.

I think they blank off the EGR valve which is supposed to result in a little more power.

As far as I know this was never a thing in the US and not many diesel hot rodders

I have EGR SS blanking plates for a D-Max 3Ltr..sorry it won’t make it smoke...anyone want them

  7. You will find that many of the large transport companies use Condition Monitoring and strip engines down to examine for wear to decide Oil Change frequency for their fleet. 50,000 miles is not uncommon.  However for those like us best to stick to the manufactures recommendation.

  8. Our lawn has been neglected recently. Not only does it have quite a few weeds now but also a large patch of clover. So the guy has started pulling out the clover, see pic. Now I don't know if what he is doing is for the best or not. In the UK you could buy Clover Killer. Is there anything available in Thailand like that and also are there any selective weed killers available.

It does look like I may have to replace some turf where the clover is. The weeds can be pulled up after it has rained so not really such a big problem as the clover.

    Any suggestions please.

While I am all for clean energy, EVs are not the answer since their carbon footprint, once everything taken into account, is probably larger than the one of a regular car.

The first issue, of course, is: how is the electricity used to power the cars produced?

With coal (in Thailand)...thank you very much!

Then there is the massive pollution generated by the making of the batteries (extraction of lithium or other rare element) and their discarding.

As far as transportation is concerned, a better plan would be to facilitate and encourage as much as possible the use of public transport (metro, train, bus...) and hybrid cars.

Not the latest figures but ....
