Europe makes quite a good progress with its vaccination campaigns, and it will open soon for vaccinated tourists without any restrictions.

    Why?

Because on the one hand it becomes more and more clear that vaccinated people pose very little risk anymore for others. Numbers from Israel that the risk to infect others is reduce for more than 90%. So far, this seems to be the case even for the mutants.

On the other hand, these countries understand how important tourism is for their economy and also for the freedom of their people.

It's a good decision if Thailand does the same. Thailand people need the income from tourism. And vaccinated people neither pose a risk to Thais as high as unvaccinated locals pose a risk among each other, nor do infected people pose a relevant risk for vaccinated tourists anymore.

A rare case of a logical decision in Thailand, if this decision really will be made.

Here we go............ ME ME ME ME ME ME

"I am vaccinated and so I have a 90% less chance of killing people by spreading the virus to others.........so ME ME ME, I should be able to travel the world and infect people (sorry to you 10%) and potentially kill them as I have a vaccine............"

This is the pure hypocrisy.........I see it all the time now.

People who were screaming for lockdowns and masks.......now they have their jab demanding they can go anywhere as they are vaccinated and the risk to them is now very low...........what about the 10% you can infect and kill ?

    Pure pure hypocrisy.

Actually, vaccinated tourists won't care if the local population are vaccinated, and neither will these incoming tourists present any biological threat to the local population.

It would, of course, be good if the local population are vaccinated, but it has no bearing on the recommencement of mass tourism. The key factor is that all the incoming tourists are verifiably fully-innoculated.

You do realise that Vaccinated people can get the virus, can carry the virus, can spread the virus and can die from the virus.

There is no vaccine which is 100%

I am unaware of any documented cases of a vaccinated individual infecting someone else.

The figures in my original post are from official UK Government data, following tens of millions of jabs and subsequent infections in the UK.

There are lots of cases of vaccinated people going on to get Covid infections.......its there, if you want to find it.

Same story with any vaccine, but no one runs around shouting “You can still transmit flu/measles/smallpox if you’re vaccinated!!”

I can’t be bothered to type out the whole thing again, so I’ll link my thoughts on people squawking “yOu CaN sTiLl TrAnSmIt If YoU’rE vAcCiNaTeD” as it seems to be the latest resolve of the anti-vax/denier crowd.

So..............if you can still get the virus and transmit the virus when vaccinated............then treat everyone the same.

14 days mandatory quarantine for all    OR     no quarantine for all

    Simple.

  5. All countries around the world WILL PROMOTE DOMESTIC TOURISM.

They need the dollars flowing into their own economy.

So China will ensure that if you go abroad you must quarantine on return for 14 days and have an "anal" probe for the PCR test.  This acts as a means to prevent "external tourism".

TAT is promoting domestic tourism while fantasising that international tourists are coming....they will not.

Every country in the world will keep restrictions in place, to some extent, to try to keep people in country and spending money in country and not spending money in other countries.   Those restrictions might be quarantine, self-isolation, multiple testing on return etc...  all sorts of restrictions and cost add ons to keep people from travelling overseas and keep them spending money at home.

  6. I am travelling now.  I have been travelling for the whole of 2020 and 2021 (so far).  I dont need a vaccine passport.  Some places I do quarantine and others not.

A vaccine passport does NOT MEAN YOU ARE NOT carrying the virus.   So what does it do ???????????

A vaccine passport does not mean you will not get the virus.  So what does it do ??????????

Supporters will say there is less chance, yes thats correct.  But there is not ZERO chance............  A vaccine passport cannot and will not guarantee 100% that you are not carrying or will not get the virus or one of its mutations.  Therefore it serves no purpose.

How many people contract and die of TB per year in the world and in Thailand......and yet....there is no requirement for a TB Vaccine Passport ????

  7. With the AZ vaccine you get a slightly higher chance of CVT blood clots than with other vaccines.

However, with Pfizer and Moderna you get a massively higher chance of PVT blood clots than with the AZ vaccine.

Strange how the "paid for media" is madly spouting the CVT slightly increase risk, while completely ignoring the massive reduction in PVT risk............. wonder why ?

Something to do with AZ vaccine not making profits ?

  8. I see the "vaccinated" people are still demanding they are special and can travel and the world should open up for them now......... LOL.

The hypocrisy of some of them.  Demanding lockdowns........now they have had a jab they want an end to lockdowns for them only.........

To put this into perspective........if you filled a place with 200 people and 80% of them were vaccinated, then the chance of someone in the 20% unvaccinated people getting Covid from a Vaccinated person is 30%.

The vaccine lovers are trying to suggest they are now completely "clean" and cannot possibly carry virus or infect anyone else.

    That is TOTAL NONSENSE.

I had to look that up.  Sounds like a old wives tale.  They're very backwards in Denmark.  Probably think you need to use wooden shoes while administering the vaccine, too.

Seriously, "aspiration" of an injection is NOT a modern medical practice. ????

However.........when in recent history has so many tens of millions of intra-muscular vaccinations been done is such a short time ?

The level of side effects seen now - is actually on the same level as potential intra-muscular injections going wrong due to aspiration not being carried out.  There are a number of people where the potential to inject into the blood, instead of the muscle is of the same level as seen with side effects now.

The WHO guide to vaccination does not state aspiration is needed or not needed..........they avoid the subject.

Seriously, for the extra 2 seconds it takes to aspirate................why is this not being done as standard practise to ENSURE every injection is into muscle only....and none goes in the bloodstream ????????????

More to the point which one gets banned for the 0.0000001% blood clots ?

Interesting study in Denmark.........they believe some af the side effect problems are coming from the intramuscular injections not being aspirated.

Intramuscular injections should be aspirated to ensure it goes into the muscle, not the blood stream.

However, around the world this is not being done........

  12. So if we use the Sinovac vaccine and your figures above.

Sinovac is around 70% efficacy ......

You state say up to 50% of vaccinated people who then go on to get Covid - do not spread it.

So.......100,000 vaccinated tourists come in to Thailand.

30,000 of them could catch ,carry Covid 19.

Of that 30,000 - 50% of them could spread it.

So in 100,000 vaccinated Chinese tourists there are 15,000 that could be spreading Covid-19.

  13. Conjecture.....................

    LOL

Do you know what EFFICAFACY results are ????

When they say Pfizer is 95% effective..........it means 5% of the vaccinated people get COVID.

When they say Sinovac is 70% effective.....it means 30% of the vaccinated people get COVID.

    THAT IS SCIENTIFIC PROOF.

Being vaccinated is no 100% guarantee you will not get, cannot carry and thus SPREAD.......Covid.

All we are seeing now its vaccinated people who jumped the queue now demanding they should have complete freedom - sorry - no.  Vaccinated or not you can still carry and spread the virus !!!!!!!!!

Fully vaccinated against COVID-19? So, what can you safely do? - Harvard Health Blog - Harvard Health Publishing

.......Can I see family and friends who don’t yet have the vaccine, and socialize without my mask if I am fully vaccinated?

The risk that you’ll develop COVID-19 is low if you are vaccinated and attend a gathering indoors with others who are not vaccinated. However, please be aware that you can potentially spread the virus to others. Vaccination does not completely shield you from becoming infected with the virus; it just lessens symptoms and severity of disease. So, it’s possible that you could have no symptoms or only very mild symptoms, and still pass the virus to your family and friends who are not yet vaccinated................

Where do you get this junk from?

Even the worlds finest scientists do not have an absolute answer to whether or not vaccinated people infect others, but they are saying that current testing and investigation appears to provide a much lower risk, however investigation is on going and assessment is being carried out on every registered vaccine brand.

Whilst one notes that you allude to the word COULD it has to be said that unless “and one doubts it “ you are of a seriously greater scientific ability than the worlds finest one suggests that you stop spouting FAKE NEWS and you allow the scientists to carry on with the sterling work they do without being undermined by the likes of you.

If you have absolute 100% corroborated proof that what you say is true I will stand corrected, but not before you show everyone here who reads Thai visa the scientific documents to back up your aspertions.

The vaccines do not have 100% efficacy.

It is common knowledge to anyone with a brain that vaccinated people can catch, carry and spread the virus.

Most vaccines will only claim to protect the person themselves from getting severe disease. It does not stop you getting the virus, carrying it or spreading it.

We need to open up the world to travel with no quarantine right? So long as people are vaccinated then this is the only way, or have I missed your point?

Vaccination is not a passport to travel, as vaccinated or not you could be carrying and spreading the virus.

Quarantine is needed for all passengers, and PCR test negative.

Vaccinated or not does not make any difference to the spread of the disease................ in fact, letting vaccinated people travel without PCR testing and no quarantine will increase the spread.

  17. ..................Though he was at pains to point out that being vaccinated did not necessarily mean you coundn't get the virus just that serious consequences were much reduced. ........................

EXACTLY............being vaccinated does not mean you cannot catch it, have it, spread it............if the point of border restrictions is to stop spread........then a vaccine passport is MEANINGLESS !!!!!!!!!!!!

    Total and utter BS.

Really??? So vaccinated means squat ...still have to do 10 nights quarantine. What a lot of bs.

Vaccines have an efficacy rate of between 60% to 95%

So yes..........you can still catch and carry and spread the virus even if you had the vaccine.

Over 90% of the worlds population has managed not to catch Covid so far..............thats a 90% effective rate of having no vaccine.

So yes, fully vaccinated you can still have and spread the virus.

So why should someone vaccinated be treated differently to someone not vaccinated ?
