I am waiting for a new Covid variant that only affects vaccinated people - then watch them squirm.

Currently there is no evidence that the vaccine stops the spread of the virus.  There is no evidence that the vaccines do not cause long term damage (as you have to wait a long time first).  There is no evidence that they will work against new variants to come next week, next month, in 6 months, in 12 months..........

Basically - nobody knows what the future holds.  And that is as true as it gets.

China is selling and exporting vaccine all over the world................

BUT in China......hardly anyone is getting vaccinated.  At current rates China will reach herd immunity from vaccination in 6 years time......so around 2027.

Why ???????????  Why are they not vaccinating their own people in any great rush......in fact.....super slowly.

Very suspicious........and of course..........for Thailand targeting vaccinated tourists.........your not going to find many in China.

Its becoming a matter of fact.

Many countries are now introducing travel bans.........as in.......you cannot leave.  Australia style.

UK soon will require an on line declaration to be filled in of why you need to travel, which will be checked at check in.  Freedom of movement is being clamped down on.

So even if Thailand makes any changes for entry, soon nobody will be allowed to travel in anyway.

Fake negative certs.........soon to be no doubt fake vaccine certs...........

Mandatory 14 day quarantine needed to be kept in place until 2022 at the earliest.

Covid variants will explode this year..........vaccination is not a guarantee you cannot carry and spread the virus.

Typical.............businessman in trouble wants profit over caring about peoples lives....................

Disgraceful.

If you look back at Spanish Flu.....the first wave did not kill so many people.  The countries that took a lot of cases in the first wave that year did not get affected so badly by the more deadly second wave the following year.  

The countries and areas that missed the first wave in the first year were hammered in the second wave in the second year.

If Covid follows the same path.......then in 2021 autumn a really deadly variant will be coming out  - and those who have not had it or been vaccinated will be at high risk - healthy or not, old or young, underlying disease or not.

Countries like Thailand will be extremely at risk if this happens with Covid as it did with Spanish Flu. Countries like the USA and UK will be well placed with so many people having immunity from the 2020 version with so many cases

There is no way that tourism will return to any real level in 2021..........and every country is going to be fighting for those tourists to visit them.  Thailand has upset many foreigners and with high prices and strong baht its going to really suffer. 

Tourism as it was before........might not return until 2024 or 2025.

The issue is of course the "restart"............... 

Its going to be like an old car thats been left in the garage far too long.

When they arrive tourists will be confronted with.......everything being mostly closed, places deserted, no atmosphere and massive overpricing as people try to make a quick buck.

I have been holidaying in Europe in 2020.....and it surprised me how cheap it was compared to Thailand. Better quality and lower price.

Going to take at least three years to restart and get back to where it was - maybe never.  Question is..........will you be willing to have a crappy overpriced rip off holiday to be part of the "restart" ????   Prices will be high and service low until mass tourism is back in full swing, and that will take years.........

The past couple of years also left a nasty "Thai anti-foreigner" feeling in most peoples mouths............and a lot of people have lost respect for Thailand and lost the desire to spend money and time in Thailand anymore.  As can be seen from the STV scheme...........only those trapped into living in Thailand with property or family have been coming..........and most of them if they were not trapped would never have gone back.  

Thailand has lost its shine............its image for foreigners has been tarnished by those in power..........and many have "fallen out of love" with Thailand and the "nostalgia" is now just that........there is no desire.  I believe a very big shock is ahead for Thailand and tourism will never again be what it was........they have killed the goose that laid the golden eggs.

Can you not get that into your heads........all you "vaccination certificate" freaks.

I will tell you what will likely happen.

In every country they will vaccinate the over 60 year olds and all at risk sick people.

Once they have done this the chance of Covid killing anyone will fall to less than the flu.

At that point they will suddenly say "Ok......lockdowns over.........no need..........not dangerous anymore...........off you go".

Billions of people under 60 will then say "<deleted>........you've locked us down for 2 years and now you say its all over dont worry anymore.........because you have vaccinated all the over 60's and sick people only..................."

The moment you have all the over 60's and sick people vaccinated the IFR will fall well below normal flu.  It will become a joke, all those vaccinated will demand lockdowns lifted as they are vaccinated and should not have to be locked down anymore. 

All the not vaccinated under 60's will scream how dare all these old vaccinated people now want lockdowns ended when they were the ones demanding lockdowns before they had the jab.

All will be a massive mess.............. lots of arguments, lots of finger pointing.............welcome to 2021.

There seems to be a staggering amount of posts from people who dont travel and have been sat in their homes for the past year.

I travel a lot, am still travelling now.

Why do you think so many people are turning up in Quarantine around the world and infected with Covid.......even though they have a PCR negative certificate ???????????

Answer :   A technician carries out the test.  Its 1 on 1.  Nobody supervises.  If you are in a government testing station......they WILL put the swab on your tonsils and rub it on your tonsils for a good 5 to 10 seconds and then up your nose, to the rear and wiggle it around for 10 seconds.

If you go to a private clinic..........and you need to travel so you need a negative PCR......some technicians will touch your throat with the swab for half a second then rub it just inside the nostril for half a second and test over..........this pretty much guarantees a negative PCR test even if you are positive.

So the whole system is open to abuse.........and why so many "negative PCR tested people" end up being tested on arrival and are positive.

So thats why PCR testing fails...........

Vaccine certification will also fail, as it is open to abuse...........the moment any private hospitals start selling vaccines then the system fails, and anyone can, via paying money, get a certificate to say they are vaccinated.

If you have a certificate from "PiBar Surgery" in Nakhon Nowhere how does Itialian border control know its real or fake ?  Or did you have the vaccine or not ? Did you just pay for the vaccine but not have it as you dont want it......but got the certificate and the doctor kept the vaccine to sell to the next person ?  A lot of anit-vax people may do just that.....pay for it......but tell the nurse no thanks, dont want it.....you keep it.........just give me the certificate on my medical record I had the jab.

Are we going to video record all jabs as proof with an observer and witness ????

Come on..........the whole system will be totally abused which is why App Developers are keen to promote their Apps.........but governments are not interested in this "vaccine certified" system.

So now all tourists can refuse to pay for medical treatment as they are insured ???????
