Bangkok to have "different looking Zebras" - but will people stop?

It's changing in the UK. Cyclists are being prioritised over everything whether that be cars or pedestrians. More pedestrians are killed or seriously injured year on year by cyclists riding on footpaths where councils have designated narrow footpaths as 'mixed areas'. Police have been instructed to ignore cyclists riding on footpaths even then they are not 'designated mixed' -
Bangkok to have "different looking Zebras" - but will people stop?

Known as 'Belisha Beacons' in the UK the equivalent in Thailand would be the flashing amber traffic light seen at light controlled pedestrian crossings where the red and the green light have been disabled. In Christmas 2019 when I last visited Pattaya there was such a crossing on 2nd road the traffic lights had been damaged so the amber was set to flashing. I was there for a month the lights were not repaired and drivers totally ignored the crossing and the flashing amber light -

Brit 'dumped' in Thailand after his flight home is cancelled
RobU replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Just had my flight in November from Stanstead to Swampy with Emirates cancelled. I rang their helpline and they rescheduled me for same day, same time but from Heathrow. I originally went with Stanstead because the flight from Heathrow was more expensive but they didn't charge me any extra and Heathrow is much more convenient. -
1. Increase the amount fined for traffic violations to reflect the true wealth of vehicle owners 2. Actually stop and arrest the perpetrators 3. Collect the fines. (the money collected could be used to fund overtime or bonuses for police) 4. Confiscate vehicles (including motorbikes) of drivers that drive dangerously or carelessly and crush them (the vehicles not the drivers.......on the other hand????) 5. Give lorry and bus drivers Tachographs so they cannot drive for longer than a specific amount of time per 24 hour period 6. Fine drivers and employers a hefty amount for going over that time I guarantee the roads (and footpaths) will be safer within 6 months Yawn... but that's wishful thinking, nothing's gonna change????

Unfortunately castration doesn't always work. The Adrenal Glands also produce testosterone and can ramp up production after castration. Also for many of these paedophiles what they do is habitual and often satisfies a need for control of victims which has little to do with sex. They perhaps may not rape but they would find some other method of sexual molestation and control of vulnerable children. The only way to stop them is keep them in prison or execute them

It isn't the physical exertion it is the constant abnormal repetition of the exact same exercise which causes the problem. As someone else said it could be that the synovial membrane had become inflamed (Extremely painful) which is relieved by surgery or the meniscus cartilage of the knee became torn and had to be removed by menisectomy. The meniscus is usually damaged in athletes who train too hard running and doing repeated 'stand ups' such as this to increase leg strength.

Tomato flu not yet in Thailand, but being monitored
RobU replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Latest news a new style of vaccine has been developed from sun dried Tomatoes (SDTV) Anti Vaxxers are up in arms stating that it hasn't been tested and they don't know what the long term side effects are and people who have been vaccinated could become allergic to Thailand within days. Other vaccines are being developed from Plum tomatoes and Beef tomatoes but are not as well advanced as the SDT Vaccine The Plum and Beef vaccine (PBV) deleloped in the traditional way of dropping them in hot water and peeling before processing requires 2 shots at least 12 weeks apart (one in the beefy bits and one in the plums). Whereas the SDTV vaccine only requires one shot in the sun dried wrinkly prunes that call themselves expats. -
Suvarnabhumi Airport about to implement a faster passenger departure system
RobU replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
According to Emirates FAQ's there is only 1 Terminal at Swampy Airport but there are 7 concourses (ABCDEFG) within that terminal. There is no such place as Terminal 4 this article is extremely confusing and seems to be someones flight of fancy. ('Flight of Fancy'....... Geddit, I'm so witty innit) -

As far as I am aware Zebra Crossings are not light controlled. Light controlled crossings may have stripes but they are not zebra crossings -
Enforcement of Thailand’s new safety belt law pending edict from police
RobU replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
In the UK the police decide which laws they will enforce. If they consider it too much trouble they will simply ignore the incident. A small example is riding a bike on the footpath is against the law and It is illegal in the UK to ride a private eScooter in public areas but the police don't enforce it. In my own home town of Hull cyclists and eScooters regularly ride on the footpath past the front of the main police station and nothing is done about it. It is also illegal to have sex with a minor under 16 yet gooming gangs in Rotherham were ignored for years and no complaint was followed up until the media exposed the scandal. -
What I meant by simile was similar but not exact, I get your point about the US Constitution. The sub law is effectively an amendment to the original law providing further clarification these are clauses, appendices or codices. It is simply a name for a set of words which amend or clarify the law sub law is as good as any

Have you actually read it? It is most definitely about Thailand, comparing Thailand now with the UK of the 50's and 60's. How the UK changed poor safety habits of the type that currently exist in Thailand using TV public service adverts (PSA's). We rarely see such PSA's in the UK because the message got through. In fact the last round of PSA's was to instruct us to imprison ourselves and keep away from friends because of COVID.

Growing concerns about sleep called Coronasomnia

Using a mobile phone, tablet or computer before you try to go to sleep actually stops you sleeping. All computer and mobile phone screens emit 'Blue Light' which stimulate you into wakefulness -
Growing concerns about sleep called Coronasomnia
RobU replied to webfact's topic in COVID-19 Coronavirus
I'm in the UK I have had 3 vaccinations and never had Covid no symptoms whatsoever but what you describe happening now at night is happening to me too. I think it is the result of the 'Fear Covid' campaign which creates a framework where having flu like symptoms triggers fear and the sleeplessness associated with being frightened and worried.
