American somtam is markedly inferior to anything served in THailand. In addition, our corruption is inept and amateurish compared to the level it has reached in the Land of Smiles.

If I had a million bucks, I would have this man's face repaired and give him something else to be happy about.

In Thailand, it really does not matter WHO "started" the fight. The foreigner is ALWAYS at fault for not accepting whatever the Thais dish out. It is the way of life here.

Thailand has been the finest mood stabilizer I have ever experienced. Very glad that I retired here.

This is what you get when there is no government intervention in the things that REALLY matter. Every Thai knows that government is there to oppress, not to help. Welfare states have lifted countries like Thailand into first-world status and I suppose that's what the elites are afraid of.

If there was ever a case that screamed for the death penalty, this is it. Disgusting and sad.

Keep your voice low and pleasant, but that doesn't include the sound truck running up and down the road extolling the virtues of a brand of WATER!!!  Be respectful of the government but don't infringe upon the right of the military to hold regular coups. Blah, blah...etc.

The men speak their language and know the culture. Most of them would choose a Thai man if they had a REAL choice.

American police are totally out of control. Much like the pack of sociopaths in the White House. Killing black people has become the main enterprise of American "law enforcement". A nascent police state.

What draws them here?  I must be missing something. The penalties are much worse here than they would be in the states. Maybe more coverage rather than more incidents.
