No, I don't agree. It's already known and confirmed by now than "Omicron" , although spreads about 3x faster , is much less dangerous and less able to send people in hospital in ICU or to death though...so, if clever and logic (but are they ...;- ?) , they shoud reinstall the test and go procedure quickly, also, the incubation of the omicron is muc shorter than the previous variants (sometimes just a few days), and is not worse on vaccinating people than a cold of a few days....

I have to agree, My Thai wife, my son and myself are all just getting over a dose of the "Omicron" and all 3 of us have had no more than normal flu symptoms, both my wife and myself have had 3 jabs and my 14 year old has had the mandatory 1.

Cough, runny nose and 38 degree fever which was sorted with paracetamol.

The media from all countries should be ashamed of themselves for initiating mas hysteria when there is no major problem.

All the deaths that are now being reported are all saying that they had tested positive for COVID within 28 days, what has happened to the people who have passed with natural causes, ie; Heart attacks, Flu and Strokes, are they not dying anymore.

  2. After my wife had lived in the U.K. for 5 years and all the brain regeneration I had done to remove the fact that Thailand is not the only country in the world that produces food I got her to try Basmati rice, and now in her 15th year she won't eat Thai rice she say's it's too sticky.

I call that a WIN WIN!! Please don't get me wrong I like Thai food, but I.M.O. Thai rice is awful.

  3. Here's a question?

I have been fully vaccinated and so has my Thai wife, we are now just waiting for our boosters, my son who is over 12 years old and has dual nationality has only had 1 vaccination as is the mandate by the British government, I am lead to believe that Thai children are required to have 2 doses of the vaccine in Thailand, So the question is, is my son fully vaccinated with 1 dose or does he need 2 doses to enter, when or if I return. ????????

I agree, you don't need another rt-pcr after getting one 72 hours, b4 take off, but someone is going to make money out of these tests, the taxi to the hotel and the hotel will probably have above normal rates, when you leave the hotel they give you a portable test kit as well included in the package, which seems like a well planned money grabbing exercise.

My friend paid 12000 Bhat for a taxi(provided by the hotel) from BK MIQ hotel to Sakhon Nakhon, where he lives, he was lucky to get back and never flinched he was just happy to get home

12000, for a taxi seems a little excessive to me, but what do I know.

  5. Can somebody help, my mother in-law is in her mid 80's and in relatively good health, but she has started having a few problems walking to the shop as her knees have begun to give up on her, as we live on a slight incline I thought of buying her a mobility scooter just save her old knees.

Can I buy one in Thailand? I have checked Lazada but can't find anything about mobility scooters.

    Would appreciate any help!

I don’t know about other EU countries but The Netherlands considers Thailand still a safe country. A Thai or foreigner (regardless of vaccination status) in Thailand can visit The Netherlands for any purpose. No tests before or after flights are required, nor any quarantine or isolation necessary.

That is as Amazing as Amazing Thailand. Thailand on the Netherlands green list and yet the U.K. who have administered over 40 million vaccines to it's population are still under quarantine rules, ?????

  7. While watching  Sky News in London Sunday Evening I was surprised to see a report about the Phuket Sandbox, makes me wonder how much the T.A.T. had to put in the Brown envelope it gave to the reporter Ms Robbins to run the story and try and get some Brits to come for a 2 week DESERTED Island stay. ???? Oh! it didn't mention there was no alcohol, that will certainly remove the probability of many if any Brits coming.

    R.I.P. Tourism Thailand.

  8. For what it's worth, if I had to stay in Phuket for seven nights and then be free to travel I would consider booking but the change to 14 nights for fully vaccinated tourists is BS, you have been able to arrive in Thailand for many months now without vaccine and stay in quarantine is BKK for 15 nights and then you are free, SO! why on earth do you need to be fully vaccinated and then still have Island quarantine for 14 nights and PCR tests, $100,000 insurance, just hoops and more hoops.

Not for me yet, family will have to get used to Zooming for a few months longer.
