Thailand and our favourite ???? have maintained they have the virus under control, yet the powers that be keep feeding the masses B.S. to make them scared sh==less.

These ???? should just drop all these restrictions and money making scams and welcome back the tourists all and sundry who have had a test and are not infected, there is a caveat however the French woman in Samui, but you can bet your all your worldly goods she did not contract CV19 in Thailand, it will have been dormant in her system for more than the 2 weeks she spent in the over priced prison, before being activated by her first alcoholic drink or contact with the outside world.

Just drop all the quarantine the stupidly excessive insurance which must tourist will have cover of anyway through their travel insurance and start rebuilding the defunct tourist industry that has already cost in excess of 1.57 Billion.

Sorry should have read 1.57 TRILLION and not Billion

  3. No right minded tourists will agree to any form of quarantine, I would imagine though they would be quite happy to do a test on arrival if they only have to wait upto 30 mins or so for a result. The government does not need to worry about the well healed tourists, cos they are all going to "Sandals" in the Bahama's where they will get quality for there Buck. ????️ ???????? And not have to fight the Chinese for the Prawns. ????

  4. In the late 80's while working in Malaysia I travelled from K.L to Singapore by train, I must admit as it was quite cheap at the time I upgraded to first class, I found it a great experience and always promised myself that I would do Singapore to Bangkok one day when I retired and had the time.

I have never been on a train in Thailand yet but since reading that they have no beer onboard I don't think I will be taking the 3 day trip any time soon. ????

  5. Sorry all you doubters, the reality is this, when you check-in at any airport for any flight you are added to the flight manifest, shortly before take-off the manifest is up loaded to a system which can be and IS accessed by arriving country's immigration and ground handlers.

this information includes all you travel itinerary even down to the number of the container and position in the hold that your bag is located.

I hope this clears up any confusion and puts an end to stupidity. ( I doubt that )

Im starting to think that this is an elaborate way to increase car sales.  After all, why else would one of the largest per capita police forces be completely absent from the roads?

Not new car sales, the insurance company's just fix the old ones put them back on a second hand car sales forecourt, then another idiot buy's them and has another accident because of poor driving ability and un-road worthy vehicles.

You dont have to be the owner, you can basically quarantine where you live

    • Evidence of long-term residence in Thailand such as hotel reservation, rental contract in traveller’s name or that of family members residing in Thailand or title deed of a purchased unit.

Yellow Book, that a lot of people on here say is useless, plus a Pink I.D. card might not go a-miss. ( Things that may help)

Sorry to burst the bubble of the panic mongering Zombie Apocalypse crowd, but one case does not represent "the reappearance of Covid in Thailand". It is less than a pimple on the cheek of a teenager. It will be easily managed. Now, if hundreds or thousands of new cases were to appear, that would be a concern. This is not. Not on any level. It will very quickly be contained.

And the government will claim a great success, prove to the masses that they can control the virus and HEY PRESTO!!! the boarders can now re-open and rescue the tourist industry.

    Thailand is great!!!!!

Should be no need for the card if dual pricing is outlawed. If you haven't a card they can charge you more then a Thai then. Bonkers,

But there could be a case for charging tourists more of them a Thai, such as national parks or places were its been paid for and maintained by the Thai tax payer.

But Thais being charged to go into these places is ludicrous for them to pay to see what they have bought and maintained through there taxes. That wouldn't be accepted and in the UK. Fancy having to pay to go into an art gallery were the tax payer has paid millions of pounds for a painting, but it was tried once.

Sorry to disagree but have you ever heard of Stonehenge or other Heritage sites where they charge a family of 4 will pay £100 or more, but it is the same price for everyone.
