Wait, so except from travel to Thailand, but returning requires 14 day Quaratine??

    Please can someone explain?

Read the u.k. gov advice, some 50+ country's  don't have to quarantine including Vietnam (which must be killing the pr**ks in the Thai gov) but some countries although the u.k. has lifted travel restrictions still have to quarantine on arrival in the U.K.

I would hazard a guess that should the countries allow u.k. passport holders in without restrictions the 14 day quarantine would be removed. BTW quarantine includes BP holders from Thailand, If you can get out.

  2. I have also just checked the U.K FCO advice and yes Thailand restrictions have been lifted, great new for tourists with travel insurance, although I suspect the Thai gov will try as usual to fleece the tourists by saying that your travel insurance does not cover C19 in Thailand.

Bad news for the the bailout of Thai Airways, nobody unless they have more money than sense will pay the prices they are asking for a return trip in August, ( see my earlier post, I think on page 9)

Do you guys think this means that Thailand will open up their borders to tourists from the EU? I mean they could also just allow Thai's to travel here and not allow us to come there...

This is supposed to be a reciprocal agreement between country's, but I see no mention of the Thai government saying which country's will be allowed in without quarantine yet.

The U.K. does not have a reciprocal agreement with Thailand if they did my OAP would be increased each year you have also failed to mention the   $100,000 insurance policy stating you are covered for Covid 19 plus the medical certificate requirement no older than 72 hours before you depart stating you are Covid 19 free of the infection . BA cancelled my wife’s July flight back to Thailand so it seems a no go for at least a month or two.

If you had a registered address in the UK you would get your OAP increase, travel insurance covers covid once the UK Gov lifts the travel ban, but not for flight cancellations only for medical, the reciprocal agreement is for quarantine free travel only other requirements may have to be followed, the full details have not yet been ironed out. My comments were supposed to help and not give false information. "Don't shoot the messenger"

  5. British Gov to remove 14 day quarantine to certain countries from 6 July and allow corridors on a traffic light system and Thailand along with some other countries is in the green zone.

It was my understanding that this would only be allowed if they had an reciprocal agreement with the countries concerned, so the doors maybe opening. However this is Thailand so don't hold your breath.
